  1. Recomend me one please. Preferably one that doesen't eay up resources and is generally a pain in the arse.
  2. 'Meal in Paris, what best hotel' Glad to be of help.
  3. Interestingly, or perhaps not, the Japanese world for development is the same as the word for explotation.

Umm.. Elekra Assassin, Sin City, 300, Dark Night Returns. These are classics. So what if he dropped the ball on other projects. I don't need an artist to be perfect in everything he does to enjoy his work. I don't care if it's mysogenistic drivel in strictly literary terms either as long as it makes a good comic. Asking Miller to steer clear of clishes about the 'lower rungs' of society is like asking Bogart to get in touch with his inner child.

Heimart, or something. Meaning home town, ran on TV forever. Not bad.

And a walker robot battlesuit with miniguns for arms.

Der/Das Untergang. It was quite intense. (German in primary school was a long time ago )

The story doesen't really lend itself to realism.

There are plenty of German ww2 movies, and some of them are quite good.
  10. If you want stealth buy the new Hitman. The splinter cell games are nice, but there is something missing I can't put my finger on that meant I could never get myself to complete them despite bying two of the games.

What is the political message in 300. I can't really see one. It's about 300 Spartans who get butchered to a man in a last stand against Xerxes. Xerxes however loses because he commits hybris. American agenda ? Maybe if it was the other way around

And they outnumber the good guys 100.000 to 300 ?

Frank Miller didn't direct the movie, so who cares. Yes he has done some less than fantastic projects, but he has also done some extremely good ones. Sin City turned out rather well I think, there is some hope that this might too. Incidentially, there is no 'American' perspective to the 300 story. American military historians have a soft spot for ancient Grece, but I have a hard time seeing the story as analogous to anything contemporary.

It looks bloody fantastic and in keeping with the style of the comic. It's like one big battle of Helm's Deep where there are no elves or trees to come to the rescue.
  15. Continued support for games is more an exception than a rule, although some companies do so in order to preserve the good name of the game. A good example is the total war series where patches still emerge 6 months after the game has been released. Not everyone can justify the manhours to the beancounters though.
  16. Information wants to be free
  17. I don't remember.
  18. Realplayer is a horrible infestation on your system, the free version spawns popups and alters itself so it can't be removed from the startup process. I'm pretty sure there is a hack that will let you save streaming content in realplayer and you can then later convert, but I don't have much experience with these things.
  19. you win, i clicked and you made half a nickle. Although my firewall prevented me from seeing what it actually was you were selling.
  20. I had that problem too. I can't remember how I fixed it. Other than there is something you have to before it will trigger. Did the cutscene with Hanhar play ? Did you abandon finding the source of the secret transmission at some point ?
  21. You do know that 99% of those 'caught on camera' ones are fake and paid for by the pepsi in the background right.
  22. So we are discussing a situation where sacrifice is demanded in order to prevdent a country changing name. Well, stopping half of Germany from becoming East Germany would have been worth a measure of lives. On the other hand I don't think many people are that sad that the Soviet union is no longer. So I guess the answer is, it depends.
  23. You have broken the circle of clowns !
  24. It all revolves around one NPC and is pretty illogical, but there are plenty of other things to enjoy about the game.
  25. I don't see why people should feel obligated to serve in a war they feel is imoral. A lot of people fled to Canada or Europe during Vietnam, and considering that the whole enterprise was a monumental failure I don't see how serving out of a sense of possibly misguided loyalty is better than refusing. A war where litterally everything is at stake like ww2 is another matter.
