I haven't really gotten into UT3, I might well when I get a new computer and can run it over LAN, the new game modes are more confusing than interesting, as always, but I spent more time with the UT franchise than any other shooter. Maybe it's just dedicated multiplayer shooters that are in decline. Whatever the reason Unreal has never been able to deliver an acceptable single player experience.

The UT engines used to be the best there was for scalability as well, not anymore, but it's still pretty slick code. The time it took to make it actually shows.

I think all the books still lend themselves a lot better to animation than feature films. I like The Fellowship of the Ring though, the rest of the films, not so much. I have issues with how a lot of things look, like Gimli, he doesen't look very tough beneath all that rubber foam makup. The physics look wrong. Sticking hair on a guys feet and shrinking him doesen't make him look like a hobbit, neither do elves with 5 o clock shadows inspire that much. Although the goblins in Moria were spot on to me, Frodo was ok as well somehow, maybe because of the baby looks of Elijah Wood. They did an animation of LotR already, which is not worth watching 2 seconds of, with the exception of the design of the Nazgul, quite awesome.

Yes well, or you can be reformed lutheran and enterpret all you like, you can even be a priest on the public payroll and come right out and say you don't believe in god, not without some uproar though.

I'm just finishing watching season 1, i'm on episode 21 or something like that. It's ok I guess, but I don't see the big fuss honestly. Better than most TV shows, but not amazing.

What is hanuka anyway. Is that the deal where they ligth the candles, have a shindig, and sit around waiting for the second comming of the lord ?

Generally I agree, didn't like the Batman movies though.

I think they kinda salvaged the Batman franchise with whatshisface from American Psycho. Best film of the series, not that thats saying a lot, but still. Whats missing from the superman script is nunchos, with the superman logo on them, he should have a fast talking black sidekick as well. I'm thinking 60 cent. Theres gotta be a rapper.

They meet a whole feet of these obsolete Cylon raider ships and how do they handle this, Lee says 'there was a whole fleet of these, they jumped us'. ? Budget special effects I guess. Same as in ressurection ship where we have an anticipated huge set piece battle, and all we get are like 3 seconds of action sequences. I thought Razor was ok, except that the cutting back and forth managed to ruin much of the suspense of both stories.

If I remember it rigth you have to fiddle around some untill you can open one of the closed doors, then you get a cutscene.

Is this where you see the droid from above in the control room ? The puzzle is not just moving around the droid, it's related to the console in the control room.

That is very fiercely disputed. However you put it, taking either the bible or the koran literally on all issues, which is the definition of a fundamentalist, is mostly entirely incompatible with modern life.

I don't feel I have to apologise to anyone if I state that the people who initiate these protests, and the practice of muslim law in Saudi is wrong on so many levels. That may actually be discrimination, if it is it's discrimination against a sub set of a much larger group of people. Same as saying, for instance, that Osama Bin Laden deserves to be hunted down and killed. I should hope we are all adult enough to know that not all countries with muslim population practice law like they do in saudi, or make any broad sweeping statements about Islam based on the worst it has to offer.

Micron Die technology doesen't necessarily make it faster though, it makes the ciruits smaller.

Apparently stirring up the natives with a story about an insult to the prophet is really good political currency. It's something everyone can agree on.
