What a silly concept. You sure you don't mean proper nouns, just like every other language.
  2. Star trek is too goofy to be real gritty sci fi, it's the costumes and the pointy ears and the crappy design of many of the alien races. The TV heritage doesn't quite wash off even in the new movie, which wasn't bad. If exorcized of everything George Lucas, the Star Wars universe can be pretty cool. It's not particularly realistic but it works.
  3. I cannot imagine why that could be, both parts of it. Otoh, to each his own. I thought the kids did pretty well, but they are still kids, never put kids in a lead role.
  4. You can get these little plastic strips to tie em together.
  5. I couldn't even finish it, but I had me a really good nap instead.

That doesn't make any sense, I'm sure you mean you treat everyone with the same amount of respect before you get to know them. Otherwise a rapist paedophile necrophiliac would be as good as Gandhi.

  8. Sorry, but that's bull****. Unless you have a really crappy mouse. No, and here is why. When your mouse nears it's target it slows down to accommodate gamepad analogue stick aiming. That means you have to crank up mouse sensibility to such a ridiculous degree you wind up doing circles around yourself when you aren't aiming. They failed, or just didn't care to address this for mouse users.

That is a bit strange, don't they toss anyone who doesn't look 21 out of fear of loosing their license.

Fear equals respect only if you are a wuss.

Respect is a feeling of profound dissapointment at the prospect of letting said person down. In that sense it's reciprocal, a measure of both your own worth and that of the other party.

What exactly is there to tell anyway, were you expecting in detail descriptions of what's going to be in a game that's years from relase.
  13. I ordered the expansion for Sins of a Solar Empire. No new races unfortunately, but new units and buildings. Fortified star bases and whatnot.
  14. To think you would wind up missing that. No seriously, they can't do this with another narrator. It just would't be Max Payne in anything but name, but maybe that's exactly the point. Its like one of those crappy games made on a movie where they spent all the money buying the licence and shat the game out as an afterthought.
  15. Jesus. What where they thinking.
  16. I just recently discovered a few Japanese television stations which also broadcast live streams, and was wondering if anyone knew the best way to save streaming content. No idea of the format or codec, although I know it's not realplayer because I haven't got that giant pile of spam installed on my computer, and I can see the streams fine, although 2-3 second long pauses are pretty frequent.
  17. That wasn't aimed at you exclusively, I sorta lost track of where I was in the discussion when I was writing it.
  18. You keep pointing out that life in prison is worse than death. That's a value judgement as well surely, and not one you are qualified to make unless you have actually been imprisoned. I'd wager if you asked a condemned man if he would rather wait until tomorrow to have his sentence carried out, and kept asking him that same question, that he would live to be 100.
  19. Yeah but getting there is more than half the fun. Trucking my shipment of ore from one end of the system to another in my slow cargo ship while under constant attack from pirates was fun, well the first time, then you just get annoyed that your convoys seem to get stuck constantly without constant supervision.
  20. Cats are fine if you live somewhere where you can let them out to roam. A cat trapped in an apartment all the time, I just don't think that's fair to the creature. and I don't particularly enjoy having an open air toilet stinking up the place.
  21. Depends on whether it involves some assembly, then it might not have been fitted, or whether it just sticks out the back somewhere.
  22. Practically all the dogs I've had have been Labrador crosses. They train really well which is a blessing because you can let them off the leash in wild patches.
  23. Blahh. Multilplayer co-op is a good idea, but why has it got to be all Mmorphegers all the time now.
  24. The main story is a bit too short but pretty well paced. All the side stuff gets boring after a while anyway, and that's what all the mods deal with, hey it really is Oblivion in space, Although undoubtedly better. I wish I still had it lying around. Can it even play on a vista or xp system. Multilayer is a bit moot now isn't it, must have gone the way of the dinosaur a long time ago.
  25. Oblivion in space. Sorry I've got nothing.
