I hear 'an historic' quite often on the news. More often than the correct usage I'd say. Some people get confused when historic is used premodifying a noun, but it still isn't 'an historic occasion'.

I do that all the time, also cursing in English has very few negative connotations, among Danish people at least no matter how vile it is if it's said in English it loses most of it's semantic load. As long as it doesn't stop you from learning your mother tounge properly I don't see the need to play language police. It's much more preferable to be naturally curious than to be conservative about language use, just IMHO.

After I fiddled a bit with the settings, I take it back, it sounds a lot better than my creative player. The extra output means it sounds like you plugged your headphones into a proper stereo. One silly decision though. Instead of a lock switch it locks automatically after a few seconds meaning you press the lock off button constantly while browsing the player, it's even active while you play tetris. Brainfart that. The Pigeon English in the menus is funny though. 'Upgradable the player now'. Mkay...

So far it can play anything I throw at it, except .flv files. The sample .flv files on it play just fine though. Firmware issue maybe. I could just convert them but that takes time. Sound is just as good as my creative player, It can even play a little louder, 19mw. (what is that, mini watt ?) on each channel. It's cheaper, has a bigger screen, more battery life and can play FlAC and .ogg files. I'm pretty happy with it.

Also, what is a bazillion times more impressive than 'photo realistic' ? You guessed it, line drawings with style and soul.

Well it's a lot bigger than I expected, video watching might improve I guess, but I can't imagine ever viewing anything on a palm sized screen, other than I dunno, long commutes, but isen't that what netbooks are for. The battery is necessarily bigger because of the screen requirements which is a bonus. I suppose on the upside it can handle Youtube and other streamed formats. It comes with TV out and stereo hookup cables, which is handy for parties, and a compulsory set of crappy earplugs, data cable, the wolds smallest detachable speakers, and a recharger (some players aren't sold with a popper charger and if the battery is full out they won't recharge on a USB cable) I can't do much with it for now since the battery requires a full 12 hours on first charge. I suppose using the charger might be a lot faster, but the manual with its humorously Chinese English doesn't mention it one way or the other.

My Hacha arrived just now, I'll let you know what I think of it in a few hours. Usually Chinese made doesn't scream competence, but I've heard enough good about the player not to be swayed by preconceptions.

What for, Stan Lee created some of the mythology of Spiderman and fantastic 4, and countless other well known superheroes. For this limited to moderately impressive accomplishment he somehow managed to become even more famous than the artists who actually made the comic books. What is the big deal about Stan Lee, other than the fact that he is still alive. With the exception of some iconic fantastic four and even less spiderman the writing is pretty bad.

Unreal tournament 3 was disappointing to me, it plays well, but they seem to have removed many of the options that meant you could have the kind of game you liked. Also one or two of the new versions of old weapons are lame. A minigun that turns into a shotgun with altfire. please. Even the menus are ugly.
