  1. I find it impossible to find a decent alarm clock these days. They all break or start losing minutes, the one on my crappy old cell though, that works flawlessly.
  2. Depends on the subject. Not everything can be digested in a few days. Don't believe me, try reading 50 pages of japanese literature and remembering all the kanji. I gotta have that squared away by tomorrow, feeling kinda, sorta confident about the exam.
  3. in actuality, you are incapable of making any legitimate argument that is not otherwise considered a logical fallacy (informal or otherwise). this one, btw, could a slippery slope, or a strawman (red herring in general). tell me, gorgon, do you have ANY argument? ANY evidence to counter my claim? thought not. you typify exactly what marx wanted: an uneducated populace. taks I would like to see something to indicate that a monopoly cannot exist without government, other than a circular argument. 'Because otherwise we would have seen evidence of it'. Come on man, that's weak.
  4. So, in summary, because nothing can exist without government, everything is governments fault.
  5. It as pretty funny. About what I expected, but hardly comedy gold.
  6. Really ? It's the Ohh yeah, rock on.
  7. I dunno if that's possible, probably not since Dalekeeper references the animation sets for race gender and class which you can apply to your character, and if the sets themselves have been changed...
  8. The cops are certainly corrupt, but I'd wager they do their job unless paid not to. This is surely a high profile case for them now and they can't sit still on it.
  9. Well, their juvenile conceptions of respect obviously need some work. It's more like dogs asserting dominance, leaving him essentially only two choices: A. cower and wiggle his tail, B: stand up for himself and take a beating. Option C, leaving without cowering, is not allowed.
  10. Ohh i seem to remember if you didn't have a shield your character would wail both his sword hand and his empty hand around, is that what you mean. Use a buckler or something.
  11. We bow before your knowledge of browser business models. Happy?
  12. Ohh wait, he means avatar animations, I gotta learn to read. Yes there is, download this there is an option to chose your appearance if it works like the previous ones, you could even play the game as Irenicus or Bhodi, although that gets old pretty fast. One problem with it is that it makes it a little too easy to cheat when that sword you like is only a mouse click away. You gotta show some discipline or you will wind up making the game too easy. Heh.
  13. Finally getting rid of those hideous ragdolls , was it IWD2 or before that, was a blessing.
  14. You want this back I dunno what to say to that.
  15. Check the slots for burn marks, who knows they could be shorted.
  16. Although, what are you going to use to download Firefox or Chrome on a fresh installation. A bit problematic that.
  17. This thing with the browsers seems kinda pointless, I can't remember the last time I used IE for anything. It's much worse that microsoft has a stranglehold on development to the point that there is comparatively little software developed for other platforms, but I guess that can't really be helped.
  18. ohh,, aha. Well next time think of a funny one.
  19. Anyway, from the Wiki page. Walsh uses the German loanword, not the German word, which means his spelling is correct. It modifies a noun so it should not be capitalised. Ersatz is a German word[1] literally meaning substitute or replacement. Although it is used as an adjective in English, Ersatz can function in German as a noun on its own, or as a part in compound nouns such as Ersatzteile (spare parts) or Ersatzspieler (substitute player). While the English term often implies that the substitution is of unsatisfactory or inferior quality, this connotation does not necessarily exist in the German context. For example, "Ersatzbutter" or "Butter-Ersatz" could be used as a generic term for margarine as a substitute for butter.
  20. What a silly concept. You sure you don't mean proper nouns, just like every other language.
  21. Star trek is too goofy to be real gritty sci fi, it's the costumes and the pointy ears and the crappy design of many of the alien races. The TV heritage doesn't quite wash off even in the new movie, which wasn't bad. If exorcized of everything George Lucas, the Star Wars universe can be pretty cool. It's not particularly realistic but it works.
  22. I cannot imagine why that could be, both parts of it. Otoh, to each his own. I thought the kids did pretty well, but they are still kids, never put kids in a lead role.
  23. You can get these little plastic strips to tie em together.
