The claim is not legal, in fact it's not even logical, it's entirely emotional and spiritual and as such doesn't really stack up against the claims of the Palestinians who were displaced in a very real sense. We have to deal with reality though, and reality is that they are both there now and have to make some kind of compromise.

So, you see, it's not exactly like Arafat invented terrorism in the middle east, although he did employ it to great political effect. Without it the eyes of the world would simply have passed over the Palestinian problem, and therein lies the problem : contrary to what common sense should tell us, the middle eastern experience is that terrorism works.
