I finally caved at lv 20 or so and took the strong back and rat pack perks. What's the 'reward' for finishing in hardcore mode. Is there one ?

I just finished my first play-through of FO-NW, or rather I got to the final battle and lost interest, a lot of high points before that though. I'll give it a 8/10. Apart from the bugs, and critical 'all save game wiping' bugs are pretty horrible to have in a final release... I never managed to find enough cards to play caravan, at one time I even saw 4 full decks on a table and I couldn't pick 'em up.. I like poker so much more than blackjack, and why couldn't you play some of the major NPCs and let the outcome decide something important. Lost opportunity there.

When is this thing coming out ?

I noticed there are new animations for mele. Makes them less sucky. I wish I had sunk at least a few points into them.

What do boxes for the different ammo types do. Reduce weight, are you supposed to use them in ammo crafting ?

It's started to crash whenever I buy certain apparently random items with a traveling merchant. I suppose I can work around that.

I like it so far. I'm worried about my build though and I'm a compulsive re-starter.

Governments are players in the markets, always have been, and like anyone else they try whatever they can to emerge ahead. So in a sense we are allowing the market to set the exchange rates.

Don't all countries who can try and do that, affect the currency to their own advantage. It's a bit much to expect countries to be responsible when there is an advantage in not doing so.

The main problem with the US credit crisis as you know was all the bad debt starting a vicious cycle as more and more foreclosures meant people were living in houses worth less than their mortgages. I don't think that's likely to happen again here. Although households where both wage earners lose their jobs are going to have a tough time with it.
