Oh great, the big terrorism craze finally hits sweden
Well. From what we read around here, he was a quite "normal" guy until he, after visiting Britain, became "increasingly radical and angry". Maybe he was known there for these tendencies, but I think very few, if any, in Sweden knew of the extent of his radicalization. Also, I very much doubt that he had training with explosives, from what I've read... I could have made a better bomb myself, from the descriptions of those. "After visiting Britain" Maybe he went to the shoe and underwear bomber training academy. Not a lot pf people get to utilize their full satisfaction or money back guarantee.

Your game collection
I really should have hung on to my Amiga + games. In another 10 years those are going to be worth serious $ Also I'm a slob, I don't have much in the way of old games left, CDs live a hard life at my place, sooner or later they all end up as coasters.

What you did today
You feel fine after a "julefrokost"? .. obviously you didn't drink enough snaps or had enough casual sex with co-workers in the copy room. This is the only explanation. Some of the girls actually lamented the lack of a copier on the premises, but I guess it's easy enough to be brave when such antics weren't possible.

What you did today
'Julefrokost', do you people have that. Loosely translated 'Christmas lunchin'' Cruel drinking games and inter office whoring from the 1st to around the 20th of December so we are about mid season now. I just woke up from a legendary instance and I feel fine. It shouldn't be possible, it really shouldn't.

FO: NV (General Discussion)
Even better would have been an in game explanation as to why I couldn't play a particular card. That way you could actually finish a game without reading the whole rulebook, which I just never seemed to have the time or interest to do

FO: NV (General Discussion)
Why the hell didn't they put the rules in the minigame, you were required to read the pipbpy txt file and remember it. That was too much hassle for me.

What are you playing now
I meant the short cut under the "game library" tap (where all your games are) in steam, it's called "Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms". I just didn't want to write the whole thing down... but yeah, just using the batch file also works. Is it good? Yeah, I'm having fun. trying to figure out how to extract the music now

FO: NV (General Discussion)
Because you can't play PC games lounging on the sofa with a friend ?

FO: NV (General Discussion)
Aren't you tired of the game by now ?

FO: NV (Spoilers)
I just focus on the one nice thing you can craft, for FO nuka cola grenade parts, for FO NW weapon repair kits, and hamster them in my base. After a while a wrench lying on the floor was like a beacon.

Dissident WikiLeaks members leave and launch OpenLeaks
Fools, rather than splitting up they should unite against the real enemy ; the people's front of Judea.

What are you playing now
Nevermind, everything works now, as long as I launch from inside the game dir instead of the shortcut.
-
What are you playing now
I use it with steam - so that's not true.. install the mod, then right click MTW2:K (in steam), select properties, then select "set launch options" and add this @mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\medieval2.kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod.cfg this forces steam to launch via the mods batch file, which makes it work. This works with every mod for MTW2:K - just find the batch file in the mod folder and edit it.. then copy the "adress" like this: Where is MTW2:K 'in steam'. Are you talking about the game's install directory or something in the STEAM browser ?. The Game executable is not called MTW2:K. I see the batch file you are talking about 'medieval2_kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod' that would be in the mods dir.

What are you playing now
Before you download this new full mod version be aware that this installer may not work for steam users. I am sorry about this but there is not much I can do to support Steam versions of Kingdoms I actually have the non steam version, but the disks are scratched. It won't install.

Is common sense starting to prevail in America regarding the death penalty?
There might well be people who deserve to die for their crimes, but government shouldn't exercise that power. We should insist on being better than them, for our own sake. There are all kinds of problems with using the death penalty, it can become politicized so death penalty cases are fast tracked through the appeal process and politicians and politicians to be can appear to be tough on crime, or it can simply be used in totalitarian regimes to remove undesirables. It's not a direction one would want to go in, and besides we can manage without.

A fear of flying
Maybe so, but if you had to make a difficult climb to save your life, your survival instance would trump the phobia and you would just get on with it, like throwing someone into a pool who doesn't know how to swim, you learn because your brain doesn't leave you any choice. I suppose skydiving lessons as a cure would only work if someone kicked you out of the plane.
-
A fear of flying
The thing about planes, if it does go wrong there is nothing you can do to rectify the situation. If it's just a tall drop you can take a minute and try to come to terms with the vertigo and fear.

The Wikileaks debate continues
The charge he is wanted on is 'being a grabass'. That is to say other types of lude and unwanted behavior than rape. Obviously he should return and face the music, but this is just not like drugging and then raping a minor. I have no doubt Polanski is guilty, but I think it's possible that some of the many enemies Assange has made set him up. It doesn't seem so fantastical a notion to me. Also, why are we still talking about an extradition to the US. There has been no request, and there isn't going to be one, or am I missing something.
-
The Wikileaks debate continues
I'd say that getting a look at how governments interact at a high diplomatic level serves a useful educational role. It's not often we get to see what they really get up to before hearing the polished version, and why are we crying about the US' wounded pride, who cares about that. They made a website and said 'come to us with your leaks', and lo and behold some people did, and once in a while it created a stir. Why has this become about blaming the messenger. It would have been someone else if not Wikileaks.
