Mass Effect 3
I'm guessing blowing up a mass relay would require at least one dreadnought, if not an entire fleet, and the Council would never allow such a fleet to enter the Terminus systems since it would trigger an intergalatic war (and that's content saved for ME 5, 6 and 7). Well, as mentioned in Arrival, conventional wisdom is that mass relays are indestructable. The Mu relay from ME1 was blown out of its system by a supernova. That's not even half of it. See above. Apart from the fact that nobody but Cerberus and Shepard even perceive the Collectors as a problem. Indestructible plot devices. Lame. You should always try and construct the story and premise around the plausible, never mind that we are talking about far out sci fi tech.

Mass Effect 3
They built the damn things, you would think they would be able to find the on/of switch. Like how in ME2 humanity is being invaded through the mysterious omega relay that no one ever uses except the collectors. Why didn't someone think to blow the thing up. Invasion over.

What you did today
Also, a gentleman never runs. If I had to save my life to do it it would take some serious consideration. That, and the fact I'm tall and weigh probably entirely too much, and I have a bad tread, I sometime twist my ankle when running. You need to be small and lean in order for that mode of transport to be at all practical.

Bruce Lee died of an overdose of painkillers he took to deal with a back injury that had him in constant pain, just sayin'

My favorite is 'studies show'. 90% of the time it means 'I'm talking out of my ass'

What are you playing now?
Shogun total war 2. It's very pretty. I do wish that after 4 or 5 games they would have figured out how to keep archers and gunners from turning to face the enemy every time you select a new target. Effectively you can't do that unless it's directly in front of them. Having them break your carefully built formation and run all over the place is usually disastrous, they will be gobbled up by cavalry. The artillery camera shake effect introduced with Napoleon is a real pain. It makes the cannons look like ships at sea in a violent storm and makes your mouse cursor ramble all over the place. Who the hell thought this was a good idea ? Did I mention it's really pretty though, the strategic elements are fun and challenging too.

You won The lottery
I wouldn't get employees though. like drivers and personal trainers, of course people with bad backs are free to do such a thing, especially if she is a looker and not entirely uninterested. (how did that go by the way?) I feel uncomfortable enough having the boy bag my groceries. There is nothing wrong with my arms, that kind of pampering destroys character.

Libya
I've got nothing more to go on other than that it started as a democratic protest, neither has anyone else I think. It's a revolution, and not the meretriciously planned sort either. I suppose they are the good guys by process of elimination.

Libya
What do you know, looks like the good guys are winning, the rebels have taken two more city centers, how terrible.

What you did today
They handle baptismal records and such, which you would need to construct a fake identity, or if you happen to have lost yours.

What you did today
In case anyone cares, here churches are on the government tit. Financing comes through a special tax, less than one percent , which you CAN opt out of, it takes writing a formal letter declaring your wish no to belong to the Church of Denmark. Few bother, and hence there is money to hire priests and upkeep of churches.

Dragon Age 2
So... is it any good. I thought DA1 was ok but the engine looked old and battered even when it was brand new. How does it play.

Libya
If you worry too much about where your weapons end up you obviously don't have the particular constitution you need to be an arms merchant. Same story everywhere.

News: Japan's Earthquake
There was a film. The documentary on Discovery was better though. It was one of those deals with bad actors interspaced with narration.

We tried bombing him several times before, didn't take.

News: Japan's Earthquake
What about ground water, seems to me you could dig wells pretty easily, the water supply was from lakes out of convenience more than anything else. Unless it's already polluted with something else.

Libya
So what happens when it becomes obvious that the rebellion can't be won with air assist alone. Are we hoping to cut another deal with Ghadaffi in the vein of Bosnia here ? What about the French foreign legion, seems like a good match for training and troop bolstering purposes. I'm sure we would all prefer for the Libyans not to have foreign troops om the ground, but they are not equipped to defeat Gadaffis forces as of yet, and we have already picked a side and got stuck in, can't sit on the fence now.

News: Japan's Earthquake
I don't know if I would trust anything coming from official sources if I lived in Tokyo, I mean they would withhold information to avoid a panic if they had to. No wonder people are hamstering water.

News: Japan's Earthquake
Meltdown doesn't necessarily mean mushroom cloud. It shouldn't. That's what they have been saying on the news all day anyway. Remember, it wasn't built and operated by inept Commies.

News: Japan's Earthquake
My old japanese grammar teacher from uni is on the tube doing filler about Japan while they roll the same footage every 15 minuites. Natural disasters, what are you gonna do. **** happens. Looks like the death toll is less than expected, but infrastructure will be in recovery mode for a long time.

I feel a little bit like getting the game, I'm hoping it will pass as I would most certainly regret it.
