Drama in indy gaming and games journalism
I'm not responsible for trolls who happen to share my opinion on certain matters. It's a bit like people who demand that every muslim should stand up and declare his opposition to Al qaeda and ISIS. Because after all, he's one of those people.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
It's just a cutscene. The game devs more than likely had nothing to do with it.

My mistake there is PVP, it's just so bad that no one uses it. Maximum of 4 randomly allocated players can play deathmatch, no lobby. Once battle commences you have to manually force attack. just..... how they managed to miss a chance to create a real multiplayer experience that would do wonders for the brand and the series I do not understand.

Constantine
If it makes you feel better, his name is at the top of the test I give on the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Although I usually just get rubbish answers like "He moved the capital 850 miles to the east." Congrats, you can memorize fairly useless facts. Settles in Constantinople an uneasy peace is maintained with Rome, but it wont last. Converts to christianity and the city becomes the center of the authodox church. This is all sans google, how did I do ?

Sounds like some union nonsense to me. I don't think you need a journalism degree to write, about anything, and do it with integrity. I mean that requirement to me would have to be some pretty advanced Woodward and Bernstein stuff. In fact you would probably be better off with a thrid party without a journalism degree. Journalist are a dying breed and becomming virtually indistinguishable from bloggers anyway. Ask at any journalist campus and that's what they will tell you.

Just finished Isolation. On the plus side it looks very pretty. A reason to start thinking about getting a VR kit. The Oculus is still a ways off but the SDK kit is here and supposedly very capable and not that expensive either. The scares get old after a while, unavoidable really, which makes me think they should have stepped things up for the last third of the game and given you a weapon capable of taking down an alien. You only have a very limited pool of weapons even capable of scaring one off. Sneaking around isn't fun if you are forced to do it all the time.

Isn't there still the micron die issue. That is, they are not likely to do any great leaps worth shelling out big bucks for untill all the cards get an architecture bump.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I'd be more worried about the strategically placed black swirly things that appear when she is naked. They appear to make it impossible for her to go to the bathroom. It's only a matter of time before the resulting constipation will prove lethal.

It would be nice to see a few prosecutions to let the rest know it's not without consequence.

I suspect the death threats aren't representative of anything other than the existance of a few people with borderline personality disorder who are addicted to being the center of attention, being in the eye of the storm as it were. Being any kind of celebrity can be dangerous. Stalkers who can't tell the difference between movies/TV/Web scandal and real life can pose a real danger.

I wonder how long the game is going to let me stare at that flamethrower behind the security door before I can finally get to it. Quite a while I should think. Yeah there are some technical weaknesses that get in the way of your complete enjoyment. Being glued to the floor like you said. I must have taken down 10 people with my wrench who all had handguns the model lying on the floor and I'm unable to pick it up. I also miss physics on small clutter, noise when I bump into something. The save points are what create the tension. It would be gone with a quicksave and if detection wasn't hazardous, and in the case of the Alien, lethal. I think I would prefer autosaves though, I find myself backtracking just to reach a save point, which is pretty silly.

Really this would be less of an issue if STEAM had been less greedy and less meddlesome. There likely would have been no need for Origin. But yeah, it's bloat your computer doesn't need. Don't want to install more than one digital distribution program for games.

I checked, all mention of Vram is now gone from the sys rq. Maybe they were worried about sales ?

Only an hour in, but I can say yes it's very tense, I had to take a break lol Should really be an animation for scaling small obstacles. Nothing breaks immersion like being defeated by knee high barriers. Otherwise I'm digging the atmosphere.

The Ebola Threat
You would need enough food for the epedemic to run its course. Who knows how long that would take, and what would be left when that was.

Alien Isolation anyone. I want this to be good, I really do. So is it ?

Wasteland 2 Kickstarted
Finished yesterday. The cochise AI won because I apparently forgot one last encounter before I left. I decided to call it a result instead of reloading and running around looking for usable computer terminals.
