Is it still possible to buy 32-bit single core processors?
You can run Beyond Good and Evil in DosBox?

Apple iPad
And less portable. Air is bigger, and has a worse form factor for mobility.

What's the best class in Kotor 2???
I noticed that Jedi Watchmen get Sneak Attack. Well that's a deal-breaker (maker?) for me, because once you stun or stasis an enemy, you get automatic sneak attacks on them. Now the question is, what base class should I take? I'm thinking Jedi Consular for the difficulty class bonus for my force powers, as well as more force powers.

Gates Foundation donates $10 billion for vaccines
Oh, the anti-vaxxers aren't going to be happy about this! This is probably one of the single biggest charity donations towards a single cause ever. And I like how tangible it is.

China has hissy fit about US arms sales to Taiwan
Yeah! Screw what the Taiwanese themselves think! Honestly, I had a Chinese nationalist say exactly that to me yesterday, Meshugger. Makes me sick.

China has hissy fit about US arms sales to Taiwan
http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-world...00130-n5p3.html Somebody remind me how many times a year the Chinese government throws these tantrums? I've lost count. I know it's threw tantrums at India, Australia, America, Canada, and the EU (as well as specific EU nations) last year, with the usual multitude of thinly-veiled threats.

An update on nuclear fusion

Biggest moon of 2010 tonight
****, it is 12:30am. Better go take a look. I think I missed it. The moon looks normal size. Full, and fairly big, but normal. IS this a northern-hemisphere only thing?

Poor America... Poor democracy...
Yes, and it's really really frustrating trying to discuss politics with someone like that. To the point that it's probably not viable. Because I have a radically different point of view than you do? My best friend is a Libertarian (ok probably make that a plural: friends). He often has radically different points of view, especially on economic policy, but he's patient and unassuming in defending his positions. He doesn't resort to conspiracy, gut instinct, and rumour like the economic and social conservatives I meet from America all too often do. So, no, it's not got anything to do with radically different points of view. It's got everything to do with deliberately reinforcing your own bias rather than looking at things objectively. Way to make my blood boil.

Apple iPad
10 inches isn't too small to work on. It's also probably one of the lightest netbooks or tablets out there. It's easy to carry. Techno-peasant!

Poor America... Poor democracy...
I'm going to drum on about Australia again, so for anybody sick of that, avert your eyes: Australia has a moderately regulated finance and banking sector. We also happen to have one of the top 5 most prosperous AND stable banking sectors in the world. None of our 4 biggest banks are allowed to even consider merging. During the financial 'crisis', our banks all turned a profit and expanded overseas acquisitions. Most economists agree that the sector did so well because of about 25 consecutive years of good government regulation from both the major parties. Thank you, regulation! You don't want less regulation, you want smart regulation; evidence-based policy.

I think it's a valid point that having celebrities voice your game adds needless costs for absolutely no discernible quality gain. Portal. Ellen McLain. Typical of the excellent quality level of unknown voice artists.

Is it still possible to buy 32-bit single core processors?
For legacy gaming purposes I want to build a top of the line single core machine. I'll maybe buy two of each part to prolong its life. What caused me to do this is noticing that a lot of old games (e.g. Beyond Good and Evil) don't play nice with newer hardware and newer operating systems.

AvP banned in Australia because the developer refuses to censor it
Agreed. Uhg to that!

When I was a teenage boy who wanted to shoot stuff, I choose games like Fallout and Deus Ex. Don't stereotype, mister!

The Age of New DRM
The alternative is a balance between what works and what pisses of the consumer for no extra benefit. Disk checks work and are fairly seamless. Online activations do not - they're cracked as easily as disk checks, so no difference for downloaders, yet they annoy paying customers. Modern-day draconian DRM doesn't seem targetted at downloaders at all, rather people who want to buy and sell second-hand games. Something they're legally entitled to do I might add.

Needs moar anecdotal evidence, Guard Dog. Don't forget to throw in some references to socialism, too.

Where's it going now though? That's my only worry. If it was finished at season 2, it would've ended on a good note.

Huh? Oh, I didn't see that. Makes me sad.
