  1. Huntsmen are completely harmless, clean, and eat all the insects in your house. They also move about 100km/h and are the size of your hand.

It's funny because the criticisms are the same ones the iPod and iPhone copped. And look how badly THEY failed.

What? It can play music while you surf the web. What do you mean by "can't multitask"? This isn't a device you'll be multitasking on anyway besides what I just said. Hell, what is this "multitasking" people rave about? How many times have you ever done more than one thing at a time on a computer? You almost ALWAYS do things in a sequence, not parallel. If only this thing had a Python or C compiler. Krezack I think they mean "multitasking" by the fact that (if what they're saying is correct, and if I'm interpreting them right) - you can't have Safari and Word open at the same time. Which would totally suck. Hmm. Well they're wrong - Apple confirmed you can. That was a deliberate iPhone limitation (probably for performance reasons) which is not related to the iPad. Edit: To clarify, you can run multiple apps at once on it.

  5. That's called Fallout Tactics. Except they totally ****ed up pretty much everything in Fallout: Tactics. Missions are way too long, lorewise the game is annoying. Your charachters have no personality etc.. I enjoyed Tactics, but it was a far cry from JA2. The character personalities was probably the biggest crime, but the horrid inventory was probably a close second. I enjoyed Tactics more than JA2 but possibly because it was Fallout and because I played Tactics first. It did muck up some Fallout canon but w/e - beats Fallout 3!

OS X wouldn't be able to used the iPhone OS software ecosystem and market (which is the main selling point for this device, both to shareholders, consumers, and publishers). It'd also have to have code changes to run on the low-power ARM chip it uses which provides the 10+ hour battery life. I think you misunderstand how light its weight is. And 10 inches is pretty small. Too big to fit in your pocket, but probably, what, A4 paper size? Smaller? Think about carrying a Harry Potter book around with you. A mild annoyance in the sense that you need to carry something at all, but not any kind of muscle strain or burden.
  7. Time-travel is a new and novel concept!

It is half the price I was expecting. I will definitely buy this. It's the device I'll take to work and class every day for sure. Will wait for 3G model though. Biggest problem with it (and this is a real gripe, unlike the douchebaggery posted above): No USB slot. A smaller gripe is no phone or SMS capability even though it takes 3G SIMs.
  9. I'll be downloading a crack to remove it from BG&E. No ****ing way am I playing with this 'phone home' **** on my system.
  10. What? Every quest had multiple solutions, how many games let you do that anymore?
  11. When I was doing some State Emergency Services training today we had to swim for 6 minutes in our clothes (overalls, jeans, shoes, etc) as part of the assessment. Anyway it was so damn hot and I figured the pool would be a refreshing change. I dived in and it turns out the ****ers hadn't bothered to turn the pool's heating off in summer. Uhhhhg!
  12. Burn the heathen!
  13. I'm into anything involving Selma Hayek!
  14. What the ****. Also, it was yesterday you temporally-delayed bastard!
  15. So... what you're saying is... you need a balance between the two?
  16. When I am king you will be first against the wall.
  17. Harvey Smith is one of the main reasons Deus Ex 2 was so ****ed up (all he cared about was streamlining it to the point it was just a slightly interactive novel or movie). This is not win at all. He also played an important role in the original, and I'm sure the sequel taught him a few lessons on what not to do. With that in mind I'm certainly interested in learning more about the game he's working on. Fair point. A categorical 'meh' from me then.
  18. Oh come on! Sleeping in a tent will be half the fun!

  20. I know, I'm cut about that. But at the time I only had enough money for either the GOG sale or the Steam sale, and the games in the Steam sale became relatively expensive again after it ended, while the GOG games would always be either $10 or $6. Now all thats left to do is supply me with your username and password. It's a pretty good list, too. Heavy on the RPG, adventure and strategy.
  21. Weren't the Crocadile Dundee sequels made by the Chinese? Talk about random! The first one is epic, though, screw you Gorgon!
  22. It really sucks. And even though it has some bright parts, that only makes you angry because you know how the game could have been so much better. So even if you would manage to play it halfway through before you die of boredom and/or irritation, you will still only be angry. That's what I've heard from a lot of people.
  23. It would be good if Australia could still rely on that. As long as we stay above New Zealand all is right in the world.
  24. This will last me years, but I suppose a little of both. Besides, they don't make them like they used to.
