  1. And here I was thinking Indonesia and Brazil were shining examples of how to use software in government CORRECTLY. ****ing lobby groups.
  2. I've bought KB and AP. I will be playing them when my new computer arrives.
  3. No. That's fecking stupid. We need expansion packs, not ****ty little DLC missions.
  4. YOU DON'T ****ING AIM FOR CIVILIANS TO HURT YOUR ENEMY. THAT'S CALLED TERRORISM.
  5. You're of course talking about the millions dead and displaced under Saddam's regime, I take it.
  6. Examples? Australia's GST hasn't budged from 10% since its inception by the conservative government in 2000 or so. And IIRC, other countries with VAT-like taxes also have it at about 10%. I've never seen 15% or above. America needs higher taxes, but the problems with America's economy as so insipid I doubt that would be enough. A slow-motion train crash. Ok maybe that's a bit dramatic, but it's true for your dollar at least.
  7. I miss Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaave.
  8. I dunno, I was hoping for a steady, constant crew and reasonably consistent play hours. See how we go... Kotor: Xbox has internet access doesn't it?
  9. What kind of file system does it have? Fat32 unfortunately. Horrible file-system compared to something like ext3, but I guess at least all operating systems can read it. Edit: further research shows that the file systems used are: swap, ext3, and fat32. The SSD is partitioned into these three. SD cards will be a single fat32 partition by default.
  10. Yes. But again, that's a legal requirement in my country.
  11. Looks like I won't get to play Beyond Good and Evil 2. At least until they release it on Good Old Games in 10 years time.
  12. This is typically enforced by your federal consumer watchdog agency, it certainly is in Australia.
  13. http://www.destructoid.com/mad-as-hell-abo...is-164565.phtml Seems like the best way to boycott Ubisoft. It would actually hit them were it has potential to hurt.
  14. Yeah I just realised I'm a ****ing Aussie. Oh well, I'm also a vampire, so it'll work out. Actually usually with Americans and Canadians it's just a matter of getting home from school or work early enough to play with you guys before you hit the sack. Let's see... ATM it is 10:20pm here which is 3:20am in Cliforniway. And yeah, buy it. I bought it, then played it for 10 mins, thought it was crap, and ditched it, and then dug it up again and played it properly with a mate - really fun game, worth buying.
  15. I want some people to play Borderlands with for a few hours each day from lvl 1 onwards. I don't have Zombie Island but can get it if people deem it's worth it or the majority of people have it. My first character was Siren which was awesome and very powerful, but I want to play Brick now. I think. Hit me up!
  16. I found that one of the easiest puzzles in the game. Each to their own I guess.
  17. I don't understand? All the main codecs are provided by Nokia and you can also download extra codecs free like Ogg and Flac as part of the App Store (package repository system) easily. The actual programme? A modified version of one of the open-source ones. Gstreamer? Mplayer? Not sure, sorry. It's pretty decent. I'd check for you but I'm at a LAN drinking. It has an accelerometer of course, as well as stereo speakers. Pretty cool. Just downloaded some Nintendo emulators (SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Advanced etc). Sweeet.
  18. The N900 is an amazing phone and I strongly recommend it over the iPhone or Android (including Nexus One). I am so pleased and happy with the one I bought. It has a touchscreen, stylus, QWERTY keyboard, high-pixel density screen, Debian-based operating system, 3 processors (sound/calls, CPU, graphics) has complete multitasking (usually without any slowdown) a full Firefox based browser (not a mobile version, a full 800 by 480 resolution browser) with the latest version of desktop Flash. You can tether freely too. Also, because it is Debian-based, a lot of Ubuntu and Debian programmes have been ported, including Debian itself (you can install Debian as an app and get access to Debian packages like OpenOffice). But ignoring all that extra Linux stuff, it's just a plain user-friendly and simple phone as well.
  19. The Palestinians (or Jews, I'm not fussy) should all come live in Australia. We have some lovely desert we're not using and they wouldn't have to fight anybody for it every single day.
  20. He disgusts me but he was clearly refuted, his bigotry was clear for all to see, and the thread was closed. Enough.
  21. So how many pub crawls are you going on for O-week?
  22. Oh well done, bravo! Europe and Australia are screwed because about 2% of the population are Muslim and part of the Ottoman Empire committed barbaric acts hundreds of years ago! Where is that facepalm image when you need it. *sigh* do find it, because I really need it myself Look, feel free to provide an argument against Muslim immigration that doesn't consist of a historical anecdote from 200 years ago about an empire that no longer exists and was no more barbaric than the British one.
