Second impressions thread! [Build 278 version]
Ok, but then limit the recovery penalty to ranged weapons only. Also I don't remember kitting working for all encounters in the IE games, either the enemy was not kiteable or you were in a limited space (indoors). I think you are overblowing the proportions of the problem here.

Second impressions thread! [Build 278 version]
In some cases my load times were longer for entering buildings then changing a map, but I guess buildings are done as separate maps in PoE.

Second impressions thread! [Build 278 version]
Ok I'm still not done with my playthrough of the beta, but I can say this anyways, load times for entering buildings is way too long and I'm using an ssd...

What are you reading?
It's mostly making promises for the next books, though there is some good stuff in there. I finished book 2 a couple of days ago, it's mostly the same as book one, sowing seeds, but some stuff has already grown in it and it pretty good. It still kept me interested in the series, hope the next book delivers on those promises.

[v278] Sound Constantly Disappears
Me too, was thinking about posting a thread, but I had no idea how to demonstrate as I don't have any video capture software. The SFX cut out and come back at random times.

I call it like I see it, we shall see.- Do you want experience from combat?
Ok then, the objective xp system described in that thread is not the same to the quest xp system we have now. Better?- Do you want experience from combat?
Objective xp=/=quest xp.- Are they even listening to our feedback?
Did not know that. That is/was very decent of them. Kudos to OE. I agree that they were going to get some unsatisfied backers no matter what they did, but I disagree on the amount of said backers, simply because of how I received their pitch and I was following all their updates. I can only imagine how people who didn't follow the updates will feel. The exact moment I figured out what was going on was when I register on this forum and started reading dev feedback. You and I are obviously not on the same page, but I guess time will tell, the game will release soon and we shall see how it does (hopefully great).- Are they even listening to our feedback?
It's like you don't read my post at all. Over 70 thousand people backed PoE, the peak users+viewers on this forum was under 2000, you do the math. It won't matter that OE was right, all that will matter is if people will feel like they got what they think was promised to them on face value in the KS. I was also not aware that you could cancel your KS pledge once the project is funded, that doesn't seem right at all. By the time the backer site was up OE must have went through more then half the money.- Are they even listening to our feedback?
No it's not, KS is sharing a vision of the game with the people and getting them to fund that vision. They obviously didn't do a good enough job of clarifying that vision, in fact they did nothing to dissuade the people who had gotten the wrong impression. They could have easily gotten ahead of that hype train, but chose not to.- Are they even listening to our feedback?

Against Brazil? I think it will be a close game and I doubt they will win against Spain. Anyways I was talking about Serbia vs Brazil.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Cool trailer.- Are they even listening to our feedback?
I never understood why he would take such a simple thing and complicate the **** out of it. I mean I know what he was trying to achieve, but I still don't get the need for stamina/health. I could kind of get it when I thought that you would lose stamina and when you ran out of it you would lose health, but this current system where you lose health and stamina at the same time is pretty dumb. I'll play the game tomorrow (after the patch) but I doubt my opinion will change much. From the get go it seemed stupid to me to change it...- Are they even listening to our feedback?
As I said before, it doesn't matter if they are technically right, it won't do them any good, they rode the "hype train", when/if it crashes they are going to go with it. They simply didn't do enough to clear the waters and that is squarely on them. Simple fact is they had a slam dunk on their hands, all they had to do was make a copy of the IE games with a new story/setting and improve some minor things that bugged people and maybe add some more features if they had the time. They instead chose to "fix" core systems of the IE game and remove some altogether. They took a gamble and if it doesn't pay off it's sadly all on them. - Basketball World Cup
