Thats actually a serious problem I have to deal with, when I'm doing 230kg (500lbs) deadlifts and you add my 105kg (230lbs) body weight you get a not so insignificant amount of weight on a very small area.

I just assembled my new bench and barbell rack. Super stable stuff, used my lunch break to test it with some seated shoulder presses, works like a charm. You sound like my mailman! Look at the pic, 4 20's. You're welcome. You need to see the good in everything, sounds like one hell of a cardio workout, and you get paid for it too.

Reading Schopenhauer, ''Will and representation''. Heavy stuff, also archaic German (1820's) is sometimes a bit hard to read but I'm surprised I actually fully understand his rather complex thoughts and ideas, especially considering the fact I have not read Kant. I might not be as dumb as I thought.

The current refugee wave in Europe
Confirmed, shotguns are selling like hotcakes lately, I've seen many couples with apparently little to no experience with firearms in the gun shop buying such firearms and ammo. I am a gun owner but I have mixed feelings about this because I'm pretty sure the majority of the buyers won't practice with it or learn how to safely operate it....let alone ever test fire it. But saying the refugee invasion has caused this buying spree is only half the truth, it only boosted sales further. Shotguns and defensive firearms have been selling really well for the past 2 years now because people have been feeling that somethings brewing long before the refugee incident started. One reason is the EU antagonizing private gun ownership, many people want to arm themselves before bans come from the politicians in Brussels. Coincidentally, the survival products market -like emergency food- has been experiencing a dramatic increase in sales the past couple of years. To me, it feels like people wake up from their slumber in their false safety bubble realizing that not everything's gonna be alright forever.

Most renown scientists are pretty sure that given the size of the universe more life is inevitable and I agree with them. Of course, there is no right or wrong as we simply don't know and have no relevant data to base our speculations on. All we know is that simple life exists on very extreme places on earth, and you don't need much or very precious materials to form the most basic lifeforms. Intelligent life is another story, the problem is that a lot of planets are very unstable making life evolve into what we consider ''intelligent'' very very difficult as it gets destroyed prematurely. Mars, for example. Or earth too, several times almost all life was wiped out due to global catastrophes. Whats very interesting is the thought of intelligence that is far greater than ours. Our brain is so big and developed it creates a vast amount consciousness, now I wonder what happens if you'd amplify that by a factor of 1000. Whats ''More'' consciousness?

The Halloween party was pretty cool. Wearing the mask was torture but totally worth it. +++ Also the scarecrow costume was ace too.

Giving my costume a final touch and making further Halloween preparations. I've been lifting weights extra brutally hard almost every day for the past 6 weeks to gain a little extra muscle to make my costume look better, I hope the hard work pays off tomorrow. (It already pays off outside the costume because I've gotten quite a bit stronger)

Music. Must. Go on!

Thanks! Yeah, watching the city at night from a high vantage point is pretty awesome. Would make a nice place for a romantic date I think. You are totally seeing your hair stylist outside of work. I think you're watching too many romantic comedies.- What you did today

Talking about photos, when i was driving home I took one of the city I used to live in for almost two decades. Horribly compressed JPEG quality but still...- What you did today
Today I shot my first HDR Image processed from a RAW file. I need much more practice for post processing but it turned out nicely for a first try I think.- What you did today
If thats true they're not very subtle about their target audience, lol. Or maybe its all a misunderstanding and they're all supposed to be very tall Drow. Has the spider queen been mentioned? My eyes are already horribly bloodshot from constantly staring in a mirror and watching my super awesome quality hair. Truth be told, I do all the manly stuff simply to make up for the massive amount feminism in my hair obsession. Mmmh, my hair smells so sexy!- What you did today
Today I watched one random episode of ''The 100''. What the hell is that, are all the leaders of the factions in that series female?- What you did today
Got my hair cut today and had a lot of fun with my hairdresser, lots of laughs and flirting and she really did an outstanding job. The final result is much better if your hairdresser likes you. And funnily she looked EXACTLY like Sansa Stark from GoT. Exactly as in being a perfect twin, even the hair was the same. On purpose I bet. Screw clippers, my haircut is awesome and it was fun. So much better.- What you did today
Yeah I know, but its impossible for me to create any kind of acceptable haircut with clippers and a couple of grills for different lengths, you need a good scissor and skills to make a good fade between the different hair lengths. And its impossible to cut your own hair to 3cm length without the help of someone else with a comb. I could probably pull off a charhead marines haircut but thats about it. I have the exact same problem, but I'm afraid mine is even worse, I cannot communicate with people on the phone because I can't understand what they're saying. At all. I cannot understand like 80% of the women and more than half of the men on the phone. I can only understand those I talk with very frequently, voices I know, like friends and relatives. Luckily I'm self employed and I'm going hardcore on e-mails and try to avoid phone calls as if my life was depending on it. The strange thing is, I have exceptional good hearing according to the audio tests my doc made me do, and I can really hear the tiniest sounds.- What you did today
I have an electric clipper, but cutting my hair on sides, back and top with the same length looks like crap. I always let my hairstylist cut it to 3 centimeters on top, sides and back 5 millimeters, with a perfect fade. Can't do that with a clipper, I only use it to shave on shortest setting. If I had curly hair I'd simply sport a completely shaved head I think. I had a shaved head in my military service time and it was so comfortable.- What you did today
Made an appointment with my hairdresser.- now that I didn't cut it for 6 months I have semi long hair and I cannot bear it anymore, long hair is annoying. It looks messy, unhygienic, collects sweat, its warm and feels like foreign matter on top of my head. I can't wait for tomorrow - a couple of millimeters on the sides and 3 centimeters on top and I'll feel fine again.- The Weird, Random, and Interesting things that Fit Nowhere Else Thread
Looks like there was like only a meter between the lamp post and the belly of the plane.- Movies you've seen recently
Off the top of my head: The spaceship does a swing-by maneuver which make its supposedly super super fast yet Matt Damons little capsule can reach nearly the same speed in a matter of only a couple of hundred kilometers despite gravitational pull and trace atmosphere? The gigantic and fragile spaceship decelerates with explosive decompression? The pressure in there is less than 1 atmospheres, and if it stopped the ship that quickly it would have suffered severe structural damage, it probably would have crumbled due to goddamn mass inertia. Why didn't they simply tie down the escape ship if Mars is prone to potent storms? Like, before any storm threatens the whole mission and the lives of the astronauts because the escape ship is tilting? Oh and about storms, the atmosphere on Mars is so thin a storm with a speed of 200km/h would only move your hair a little bit. Astronauts moving around outside the spaceship without any safety lines made me chuckle. Scott should have watched ''gravity'' before making this film. And good look trying to propel yourself through space with a tiny hole in your glove, again the pressure in the suit is less than one atmospheres, which is less than 1/4 of the pressure inside a sports car tire.- Movies you've seen recently
Watched 'The Martian'. There is so much wrong with this film, from a scientific and low-level-logic standpoint this movie is abysmal, you can only enjoy it if you turn your brain off... And some parts felt reeeeallly stretched, the pace was all over the place. Whatever happened to Ridley Scott? From Alien and Bladerunner to Prometheus and now this garbage? There was only one thing I liked, it was Jessica Chastain, her acting was good and she is kinda hot.- What you did today
Today I got my Halloween mask and the plastic meat hooks & chain. Now I only need my apron and the fake blood and my costume is complete. Of course I had to try it on immediately, it fits me oddly well. - What you did today
