  1. According to the amazon sale page, the strategy guide is 400 pages. Either that false or this guide is really in-depth. Edit: remove answered question and typo.
  2. I'm not entirely sure but I heard that some of the sounds are not playing correctly. Like battle music and so on. Its possible that it wasn't in the BB but is live in the final version. Still, I understand your concerns.
  3. Thanks for the new thread. Witcher 3 is on my watch/to play list. I preordered the previous game before but the only thing that stopping me this time around is my computer limitation. I'll buy it once I get a new machine soon.
  4. I don't know why people are expecting beta to be pre-game demos. I know some companies did it *cough*diablo 3*cough, but it wasn't for testing purpose. It was glorified to create hype around the game. They didn't want customers feedback and its shows. Sorry for the little rant but for me, I deem it as the greatest failure in recent years. Back to topic, I suppose they can create a actual demo (Final build of the game), if it helps promote it.
  5. While I don't have a problem with the current chant book, I have to say the scroll mock-up looks aesthetically pleasing.
  6. Your testing and perception skills is amazing Sensuki. I need to examine the abilities more carefully. But yeah, without the full game, its hard to see how certain skills are more appropriate for certain areas that aren't full of humanoids. Anyway, rather than nerf knockdown, I just hope they buff the higher level spell to give them more functionality. Maybe higher-level spells can work on a wide array of monsters not just humanoids (like drakes), maybe pulls or clips them.

  8. Not just the character creation but the leveling screen to. It would be nice if the UI wasn't so streamlined. I would like to see a tab where they have a summary of stats gain on leveling or changes in stats. Maybe a tab for your current character stats. Also, the beta contains a forest-like background, I don't like how it looks. Most of the time, the game is dark and gloomy, but here we get a green looking forest. it would be more fitting if they change it to look like the mines/caves or something. Here is my 15minute mockup. Just changing the background looks a bit better than the forest background. Also I notice the character model is lacking proper lighting. It would be nice if they added a light source somewhere, to get it a more darker feel.
  9. Visually, it doesn't look that impressive but since this game is a 4 player co-op with DM ruleset, this might be awesome. I missed d&d games.
  10. Just A thought: What if Backer Portal were to have a option where they can select option #1 or #2. That way everyone is happy.

  12. At first I wanted to have the physical item early but now, its not a big deal. Most serious backers would just kept the package in mint condition, unopened. Since we already have a digital version, there really is no point to have the physical copy unless you have slow internet. But then again, people that want physical disc aren't going to get it early either way, besides even with slow connection, its ever likely to download the game before the disc arrives. For collectors purpose, its better to have a FULL game on disc rather than a incomplete one. I owned and played bg2 vanilla (without any patch) until many years later. It was stable and enough to enjoy the full experience.
  13. Hallelujah. New update! I voted for physical item first and wait for game disc later. I can still play because I already have a digital copy of the game included in my KS. The real reason wanting the physical item early to show off my cool t-shirt and of course cloth map! With that said, Option #2 is still a good choice, its really not that big of a deal.
  14. after looking at these old-school ui, it reminds me of beamdog's enhance edition. With a UI like this, PoE can be imported to iPad or tablet. hmmm, tablet, starting to sound sexy.
  15. I know that the devs are working to polish the game but... what exactly is being polish? (I don't want a list or anything, just the major ones). Will there be enough time to squeeze in some paintover? The more, the merrier.
  16. I haven't heard anything about them for a long time. Its 2 months until release. I have no idea what the collectors edition will look like, box cover, or T-shirts and so on. So, Topic.
  17. Although I don't agree with all the points of the OP, there is some valid points that he is trying to make. To me, The reason he might think that way is because Eternity is darker, as in the artwork is more realistic, the color pallet is more muted. Therefore, it looks more flat. To fix some of these problem, they need a bit of retouch on some existing maps and character portraits.. It can be done by giving the environment more vibrant. Use richer colors. Currently, it is missing that "glossy" look. I notice that the portrait for example is missing that "glow", which is found in old IE games. Its the lighting. Make the whites and dark stand out more to give the character a more three dimensional look. Stronger whites, stronger darks, more vibrant colors, and of course continue to work on that UI.
  18. I suppose there is a visual spoilers. Never occur to me that high level spells might spoils gameplay experience even though it doesn't relate to the story.
  19. I found a video on youtube and RPG Shack was able to make a video about high level spells. I though its interesting to see what the high level spells look like. I didn't get a chance to test them in-game myself. Not sure what he did to get the characters to level 12. WARNING: VISUAL SPELLS SPOILERS. High level spells is not meant for sensitive virgin eyes. Watch at your disclosure. Here is the link. He also made some for other class too. The link below is druid. Chanter In this video, he complain that chanting takes too long for high level spell to appear. Cipher There is ranger and rogue too. Edit: add warning.

  21. I don't know why Sensuki jumping up and down about the new ui. Looks almost the same to me. The only difference is there is a strip of wood behind it now (well a option) and triangular "gems". I did notice a small when inspecting a item, the icons/portrait of a item is now relocated to give that old tomes like appearance (The fancy first letter, or in this case item graphics). Grimoire have a clipped page attached. I know that the shop ui will have new wood soon but the layout as is still looks weird to me. i'm not completely follow everything that going on with Eternity, but it would be nice to see the vendors to have a (icon?) that display their gold reserve, their hostility levels (reputation or hostility towards a player, maybe a number to display it). Not sure about stealing, can't figure out how to use it. Also can we have a better zoom? I want to zoom in a little more, it can get tiny with certain resolution and I want to see those details.. Zoom out is fine as it though.
  22. I showed up the stream late. I only saw 25 minutes of it. I hope its archive soon. it sound like I missed all the gameplay. The devs were going all crazy about showing off the gameplay but from the look of comments, there wasn't much footage.
  23. I myself didn't hate the crickets. I thought it was interesting. Also, its not a Grasshopper. Its a Green Bush cricket which imo is the best sounding crickets. Well, now its good to hear we be getting more ambient sounds. Oh yeah, wolf howling, forest haunting, wind blowing, snakes rattling, river streams, and thunderstorm.
  24. quick notes I want to make, just my preference. The skill/ability icon is really tiny next to the portrait. Can that get a little bigger? I think it would look better if its at the bottom center or something. Its just looks more natural. Maybe because its being using in many games like WOW, LOL, D:OS, etc. The center console (menu bar) can be simplified to a compass/clock. Its also needs to be relocated. The combat log works great if its in the center or the left side. IMO I can live without this change. its not bad the way it is now but I know some people want it moved.
