KSE or cheat. But you really don't need it... You should have a good sword or ranged weapon by now.

your favorite Prestiege class
mstormrage replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Watchman. Good at combat, good at force powers. Even with LSM, I could spam Force Storm for almost all of the game. -
what would your lightsaber style be?
mstormrage replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sabrestaff. -
KotOR II had the potential to have a better story than the first. However, OE/LA produced a script-fest that was incomplete and relied too much on bug-ridden quests and cut-scenes. Since the poll is asking about what is better from two on-the-retail-shelf games, I'll give the nod to K1. If you're going to ask which would have been better if OE/LA actually finished the game and worked out the bugs, then K2 may be better (we may never know...). To the person asking about Jedi Academy, get it only if you can find it for less than $10. Jedi Outcast was a much better game overall.

Talk to Kreia immediately after you level to 15. She will convert you to the prestige class, which basically means you get a free level right then and there. :D You should also talk to Kreia to upgrade your crystal. She will upgrade you after every three levels (a big thank you to the poster that told me this recently) but if you use the Caves glitch to massively level up your character and have complete Light or Dark Side Mastery, she can completely upgrade your crystal in one focusing session.

Make sure your WIS and CHA are high enough. If they're not high enough, the enemy is going to Will save against them a lot. And in many ways this game was a lot easier than KotOR I. No matter which class you picked, you had the same AB.

Graphics like these in Kotor3
mstormrage replied to PhantomJedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
A qualified yes. As long as there's a decent story and that whoever gets the franchise this time actually finishes the game. I don't care how great the graphics and sound are if the game is similar to the unfinished mess called KotOR II. -
Or you can just use the KSE and not even get the Cheat Used message. :D Or use the inconsole cheat and then use KSE to remove the Cheat Used message.

Changing to Prestige Class
mstormrage replied to Sinbreaker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
True, but the OP mentioned that s/he heard that you could/couldn't get a prestige class after meeting the Jedi Masters. Since Kreia has to be able to talk to you before you get a prestige class, you have to make the leap before she leaves your party. I agree with you, but I was just trying to let the OP know why. The OP might have tried posting and it may have given him/her an error. This has happened to me on other forums... -
Leveling to Prestige Class
mstormrage replied to Sinbreaker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I finished almost all the sidequests (except for the buggy Telos fuel quest) and ended up being Level 32 (L15 Sentinel/L17 Watchman). I also had Kreia with me almost all the time so I gained a slight experience bonus there. -
Changing to Prestige Class
mstormrage replied to Sinbreaker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, you can't level to a prestige class after you find all the Jedi because Kreia won't talk to you any more. Since she has to "grant" you the prestige class, you have to talk to her before you can get it. -
Yeah, but if you turned around and was rude to the person Kreia comes in with 'Why are you being such a jackass?' Since Kreia's going to be a bitch to your character regardless there's no answer that you can pick without her "forcing" herself into the dialog at that point. This happens regardless of if she's on the ship or in your party.

Obsidian why was the game generally too easy?
mstormrage replied to MTJ's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I had a lot of fun running around in Nar Shaddaa without any weapons. Since KotOR II has the Unarmed Combat feat it's rather cool to do Master Speed + Master Valor + Master Flurry and run into the middle of the Serroco group and just beat them to death. -
It's www.gamecopyworld.com. Also, only the unpatched version works right now. LA changed the copy protection from SecuROM 5 to 7 in the patch and it hasn't been successfully cracked yet. Then again, the patch was relatively worthless, so it's not that big of a deal. I really, really, really hate that all game copy protections work by violating the ISO-9660 standard. Since I produce CDs for my company, I get really mad at any company that puts a CD out the door with the CD-ROM logo that violates the ISO-9660 standard.

Cool robes is really a matter of opinion. There are just as many people out there who prefer the Dark Jedi robes to the Jedi ones. As for your claim that "every party member is influenced with good acts", Atton is just as easily influenced with Dark Side acts, so it's not entirely true. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think he meant as in looks. The lightside robes tended to have better stats. I personally play a character that gets LSM but I like wearing the Dark Jedi robes because they look better.

I was going to ask if anyone else had force regeneration happen so slowly...

Obsidian why was the game generally too easy?
mstormrage replied to MTJ's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Don't forget Master Valor as well. An easy +5 to all your attributes is nothing to sneeze at. With my DEX 42, well... :D Once you "discover" Force Enlightenment, you can activate Master Valor + Master Speed + Aura with one spell. -
There's a lot of inconsistencies in the game, though I've only played through as LS. I wouldn't say that only DS felt unfinished/cut. It was pretty much a global thing.
-
DEX builds only work if you take the Finess feat for the particular weapon (melee or lightsabre) you use. I find DEX to be more useful because: 1) As the previous poster pointed out, a high DEX gives you better defense 2) Once you invest in the Finess Feat, the higher of DEX or STR counts towards chance to hit 3) There are far more equipment items (for an LS character) that increase DEX than STR (though there are a lot more STR-enhancing items in KotOR II than I) 4) If you are a Jedi wearing a robe, DEX won't be restricted by armor 5) DEX helps ranged and melee and lightsabres. STR will only help melee and lightsabres. (Okay, unarmed combat is good with lots of STR). A high-STR player is going to finish fights much sooner thanks to the damage dealt. A high-DEX player is going to finish fights slower (relatively) but as they are more apt to miss getting hit, it evens out in the end. Regardless of whether or not you choose DEX or STR to increase, when you get to the end-game, your character is pulling down the hit-points of your enemy so fast that it ultimately doesn't really matter.

What's wrong with my character?
mstormrage replied to Maximuz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I also found that Power Attack or plain 'ol attack helped a lot if I didn't have Master Flurry or Master Two-Weapon Fighting. One feat point invested just doesn't cut it... And my character has almost no strength and lots of DEX. Right now, with all equipment I'm at DEX 42. I haven't even turned on Master Valor + Master Speed yet... -
The lightsabre will take it out.

Personal Character Crystal
mstormrage replied to mstormrage's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I am playing the game. -
The person who carried the S-shaped lightsabre was called Asajj Ventress: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/asajjventress/ It was no wonder that I remembered her lightsabre design. Dooku gave her the two offset-handled lightsabres that she then modified to convert to an S-shape when the two were combined together.

Personal Character Crystal
mstormrage replied to mstormrage's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ah, thanks! I actually have a rather high DEM skill (20+) for when I want to do this trick. Will this affect my experience? The highest I got "officially" in the game was Level 29 (15/14 Sentinel/Watchman). The last three levels were where Kreia was unavailable for upgrading. She didn't seem too interested in allowing me to upgrade my crystal when I met her in the Core! :D -
Well, you got me there! The fact that I have a wife who likes to watch Star Wars in the first place makes a lot of co-workers here jeleous. :D
