Much more accurate than the previous list. Lol

Yeah, I will say that if you are going to use photoshop, music recording/creation software, video editing, or another form of content creation then the faster drives make sense. If you are not, and are just gaming/web surfing/streaming/etc then the middle of the road SSDs are fine. Reliability should be your first concern. Although, the technology has become much more reliable in the past few years it is still what I would worry about. Reliability>Size>Price>Speed is how I would go about it, but if you need speed for power use then I would go Reliability>Speed>Size>Speed.

Why Political Correctness (Cultural Marxism) Must End!
Ganrich replied to Valsuelm's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'd say if people are gullible enough to take Breitbart at face value, that's on them and has nothing to do with "the mainstream media" or "the left". At least they don't interview their own camera man, you know? I mean I have become dubious of all media, and if you aren't then you deserve to be suckered. I still think anyone filtering these platforms is bad as there are instances of some of these sites on this list breaking legit news.- 164 replies

I've already had links blocked for things on the right side of politics that were not "fake." I hate sounding conspiratorial, but it seems an attempt to funnel people back toward the MSM. Either way, it's a bit much and I have huge issue with it.
-
Already seeing the facebook crackdown on "fake" news. This is kind of scary, but this might be their death in the end. Their stock might drop like twitters given time and more of this nonsense. Some of the sources are no less credible than CNN has been this season.

They are doing anything and everything to break his supporters and cause division. It is because of a few things IMHO. 1) They weren't pulling for him, breaking ethics for him, and don't like him. 2) He said he would implement slander laws to tone down their accusations. (dunno if I agree with him, but I'm just stating it here). 3) He just put the head honcho of Breitbart into his cabinet. This indicates he won't be relying on traditional media, and they will be left out in the cold. So they say Bannon is racist and whatever else. 4) They were caught cheating in the election (CNN did anyway). The MSM isn't trusted by most, and has been more propaganda than news lately. They don't want to lose power, but the upcoming president doesnt like them and they think they can destroy him. This is why Facebook and other social media is on the warpath against "Fake" news. They know the jig is up, and have to try and stop people from looking elsewhere. It's sad.

Indeed, and the media has glossed over the fact that she was the first female campaign manager in a successful Presidential election. Sexism.

@fighter - They will double down because they are too insulated to do anything else but bask in the echo chamber. Hillary gained 1% of women voters from what I saw vs Obama. I don't know how we can say that is notable in terms of a gap. However, the amount of time she spent on her being a woman sure didn't pan out. Those uneducated people though. What world do we live in that the backwoods rubes of America have a voice? Sorry. The education thing is a pet peeve of mine. And I don't think you mean it in a negative way that I see it brought up elsewhere. So, don't take this rant as hostile. Just because someone has little education doesn't diminish their the right to vote. I just don't understand why people don't expect people of lower education to backlash when their full time decent waged job was destroyed, and they are expected to replace that with a mix of part time McDonald's work and Welfare. All in the name of feeding their family. Hillary was going after the coal mining industry. They don't get a voice because they are uneducated? It irritates me to no end when education is brought up. That is why we have the electoral college. It's so states that are of lower, more rural populations (usually lower education voters) do no get drowned out by the heavy populated areas. It's always brought up with this sneer, or condemnation, that they should listen to their "betters". What a load of trash. I agree that this is going to get bumpy before it gets better though.

Ah, sorry. I misconstrued what you meant there, and I don't disagree that Trump's demeanor for most this cycle was off putting, to say the least. However, it was intentional to systematically wreck his opposition. He used the media's "first blood" method of attack while simultaneously showing how to be somewhat impervious to it. Even though I went and voted Johnson, I can say that he dealt with the media in an oddly cunning and bizarrely graceful fashion. It was a bit inspiring. If others learn from his example... the next decade may be interesting.

Yeah, and? The German media didn't have a political boogie man to call the actual Hitler to get the masses that terrified. I agree with Volo here. The media has been doing their stock and trade of the past decade against Trump and his supporters these last 6 months. Normally, when they target someone with those accusations that person is given a scarlet letter, verbally chastised, and remove from public life. However, Trump was like the Terminator and kept moving toward his target. In the end, the media just caused their audience to be terrified when he was elected because many of them are apparently too stupid to have looked into what his actual policies were. When someone's first instinct is to sit at the table and talk to a perceived enemy (Russia)... I doubt they are invading Poland next week.

Last time conservatives protested they beat the brakes off of Britain, and made a new nation. You will know when conservatives have had enough.

I was coming to make this post, myself. Sad times indeed.

I see both sides. My fear of not crowdfunding the sequel is that I don't want changes made to the game because obsidian is beholden to a publisher. Of course being beholden to backers is a similar can of worms, but the core game could be mostly the same. Disappointed backers not backing a sequel might be over shadowed by new backers that bought the first game after launch and enjoyed it.

Oh this comes out today/tomorrow? The election has been preoccupying my attention. It's my last night of work. I'll probably dl it, and give it a crack when I get home in the morning. It will give me periodic Titanfall 2 breaks. Yay!
-
Everyone that refuses to step in line behind the liberals gets to be Hitler at some point. They are all about that equality.

Amen.

Yeah, I tried to convince him to release the still image anyway, but, apparently, I've failed Nice try though. I imagine we will see more info in about a month or so, so they don't conflict with PR for Tyranny. Same. I expect a PoE2 crowdfunding campaign announcement come the New Year. They would be wise to hit the end of February to early March so as to take advantage of US tax returns. TTON did, and I've expected that's why it did so well.

It's good, but short. If you aren't into MP then wait. It took me 4 and a half hours to beat on hard difficulty. Not worth the price if you don't want to play MP. It has great set pieces, and an OK story. Think Halo meets a buddy cop movie meets the Iron Giant. I liked it a good bit.
-
Metaphor, methinks. The UK supported a late term abortion of the EU.
-
Yup, pretty stupid. Titanfall 2 should have been pushed until around March, but what do I know? I am enjoying it, though. Yeah, Titanfall had a learning curve with bunny hopping, wall running, etc. It also had a very limited selection of guns (8-9 primaries, 3 anti-titan weapons, and 3 pistols) and upgrades. It was easy to get bored with it. T2 has almost 20 primaries, 4 anti-titan weapons, and 4 pistols. There is more Titan diversity since they went with Titan classes vs open design because most people just used the same loadout. T2 has better net code. They have made goosing easier, and generally made the movement easier as well. I think it will have more staying power, but I hope more people give it a go. It is a solid game.

Oh, sure, but even still... That perception from players buying the steam version could cause people to be less inclined to buy either version. Either way, the series hasn't done well on PC for years as far as I am aware. The fans were viewing it negatively anyway. I doubt even COD4 remastered will save it, and I actually enjoyed COD4. Not enough to buy a COD in 2016, but I did enjoy it. I bought Titanfall 2, and I'm not looking back. Titanfall 2 is great. Campaign is short but well designed, and the MP is fantastic.

Activision, in their infinite wisdom, made the Steam and Windows Store versions use different servers. So, for the first time I can think of, a game launched on PC with 2 separate player bases. Not surprised to see it not selling well, and/or dropping off quickly. They doomed it with that bone headed, and anti-consumer, behavior. It's particularly odd because its Pier to Pier, if I am not mistaken. Edited for clarity.

Activision.
-
Only on Uplay, blah Even if you bought it elsewhere (like Steam) you would be forced to open uplay to play it, iirc. It's worth dealing with uplay, IMHO. This is coming from someone that hates uplay with a fury. I'd pick any other platform over uplay. It's the best thing ubisoft has made since beyond good and evil, IMHO. It's a good game.

To me, and maybe it is just me, but it kind of reminds me of crazy christians playing vinyl records backwards to reveal "messages of Satan" in rock/metal music. Not that it's a one to one, but it seems a similar mentality to that kind of witch hunting.
