  1. Sadly subtle jokes is something that I only make by accident.
  2. Not quite sure what I did there myself that earned me that reply... EDIT: Ah wait is it because, now that I reread what I typed, it sounds like a pun on Dragon Age Origins due it having part of the name that the download client uses? Yes. To all the questions self contained in this one question. I thought as much. If the game turns out to be worth getting, I guess I'll have to figure out a way to remove Origins from the requirement after buying it. 'course that's assuming it's worth buying this time around and not a repeat of DA2 or ME3. /InherentlySkeptical
  3. I have one question about DAI. Will it use Origins?
  4. What are super-heavy elements? Isn't it basically every element above those occurring naturally or something?
  5. What was up with the body count in that movie though? They spent years not hitting anything then all of a sudden it's like Vietnam. I've heard the reason was because they wanted to promote new transformer toys so they got rid of the old ones. No idea how true that is though so take it with a grain of salt.
  6. I don't think this is really true actually. I believe Aristotle showed that the world was round in the Classical era. It wasn't so much that people felt the Earth was flat and that's why Columbus was crazy. It was more that they didn't believe a trip to India would really be feasible. Didn't the church supposedly disagree with Columbus on his calculations of the earths size? I recall someone telling me they told him that he'd made it too small or something like that. If true then it means they were correct incredibly enough.
  7. For a dude it would look alright/decent, but for a woman it looks atrocious in my opinion since it basically makes a female wearer look indistinguishable from a dude and I'd just pick a vastly inferior armour piece instead if it looked better.
  8. Obsidian? Working on an MMO? I'll be flat out honest here and say I don't see this ending well depending on the level of involvement we're speaking of. I honestly don't want to see Obsidian go the route of Blizzard(ie switching their brains out with dog turds and cocaine) or the route of BioWare. So gonna cross my fingers and hope my fears are just silly... but experience so far seems to tell otherwise. >.>
  9. Isn't this one of those things that are automatically jinxed from the start?
  10. BioWare doing a warhammer 40k game? Wouldn't that be like letting Matt Ward write warhammer 40k...? ... ... ... ... Wait...
  11. Like... destroy the Sith, Control the Sith or unite dark and light sides of the Force? Don't forget the insulting "**** YOU!" one as well.
  12. I see this ending well.
  13. An island once named Hodr on the west coast of Norway.
  14. I don't think I'm gonna win any awards at the wizards academy anytime soon. Neutral Good Human Wizard (3rd Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 13 Dexterity- 11 Constitution- 11 Intelligence- 12 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 12
  15. It would certainly be far superior to them looking the exact damned same. I know I'd pretty much ditch armour altogether if my avatar ended up looking like a dude due to the armour in question. Also which Ivy Valentine style? She's been switching back and forth between skimpy, covered and uber skimpy.
  16. I'll admit I havent read through the entire thread so I'll just sum up my view on it like this... As long as they don't end up repeating say skyrims dwarven armour issue then I'm relatively satisfied.
  17. I haven't heard much about it either outside where I initially noticed it... but I pledged what I could so here's hoping it works out well.
  18. To be fair though: Sean Bean getting killed has become kind of a staple. I want a completly unpredictable ending where everyone dies except for Sean Bean! So much so that the moment I saw who he was playing in the AGoT tv series, I knew that character was gonna die at some point. The guy is a walking spoiler for pretty much every character he plays. I'm starting to wonder if the guy has a fetish for his characters being killed off in various ways. So yeah an ending where he doesn't die would be one I never would've seen coming. Well, to be fair, you would also know he dies if you'd read the book. I haven't, but I did know that George loves killing off characters so I kinda entered the series with the mindset of "So who is he gonna kill off?". Then I saw Sean Bean on the cover of the DvD set of season 1 and thought "Yeah I think I know now....". I'm just surprised it took so long. It was an enjoyable ride all the way to the end though. Just waiting for the second season to come on DvD now. Might go and play the AGOT mod for CK2 while I wait.
  19. While I prefer gothic horror vampires ala Carmilla and Dracula over all else, I'm pretty much willing to settle for just about anything as long as it isn't twi****e in any shape or form.
  20. I haven't paid much attention to this, but what exactly did they change/add from the original BG1?

  22. Yes I want to be rewarded with a -GOOD- ending if I put that much effort into something and it counts towards how the ending plays out. Note that I said -GOOD- and not "Everyone lived happily forever everywhere ladida". If you want an example of what I'm speaking of then pick up a copy of Planescape Torment. Then play through it enough times to see all possible ways for how the ending plays out. Failing that you can probably find someone who's seen them all and remembers the details then get them to tell you what happens. Or just watch some LP's. Suffice to say the writing in that game is most likely the best I've seen in a videogame to date and is an example of how to make good endings that reward you for your efforts. Basically I can sum it up as your actions through the game matters and plays a part in the end. That and the game doesn't have a depressing ending for the sake of having a depressing ending, which is what the OP seems to be asking for. Going by the way you've phrased this then said cake would be mine so why would I not eat it? After all if I didn't intend to eat it then I would not have a cake to begin with.
  23. Never before have I seen a greater argument against doing 100% completion runs in my life. The last thing I want(speaking for myself only) is to be punished for exploring the game to the point where I found everything. That just means I wasted my time and I hold this kind of crap right up there with ME3's ending and DA2's plot.
  24. I guess a lovecraftian mmo would work like the tabletop or somesuch, but it'd probably only ever achieve EvE Online levels of fame given how unforgiving that setting is. Especially since most people nowadays would probably bring up the question "Why does looking at it make me nuts? That makes no sense!". I know I certainly do whenever I speak about it to others.
  25. That is a depiction of elves that fits with real world mythologies, pre-Tolkien/Bowdler. Norse myths disagree.
