  1. yeah, with the removal of the Driod planet and the HK factory i get the feeling that alot of fun stuff with HK-47 and GoTo was lost.
  2. House of the Dead Alone in the dark Blackwoods This guy is also pushing Bloodrayne, Farcry, and Hunter: The reckoning to film. Bloodrayne is in post production now. official crap website
  3. come on Laozi...think of it as your chance to kick Uwe Boll in the nuts.
  4. Please click on the link and sign the petition, this jackass needs to be stopped. sign here He already butchered House of the Dead and Alone in the dark, now he's preparing to butcher Bloodrayne, Far Cry, and Hunter the reckoning. He must be stopped!
  5. well, it's implied that Visas loves you if you're male. if you're female then it's heavily implied that Atton loves you. Is it ham-fisted highschool love/nookie? no, thank god. It's subtle and doesn't steal focus from the main game.
  6. i enjoyed GoTo. He was weak with combat, but his stealth came in handy at times and talking to him was interesting. His backstory was well thought out and tied nicely to the overall plot.
  7. I just finished reading Vector Prime and it was enjoyable fluff. Typical RA Salvatore, but at least the characters were handled well. I've just started reading I, Jedi my Micheal A. Stackpole. So far it's a step above what i was expecting. Enjoyable so far. Other than that i've disliked most of the Star Wars books i've picked up. The Thrawn trilogy was crap-tastic with it's shallow main characters and uninspired plot.
  8. 10. this is a great point. Be sure to go out and live life. The more you can bring to the game development process, the better it'll be. If all you know is games you've played and the classes you took to be a dev, then the games you'll make will be lacking. The more outside experiences you can bring to design or dev, the better.
  11. i'd also start looking into online and local resources. www.igda.org www.gamasutra.com www.gamedev.net all of these sites will help. Also, when you get into your senior year you can start looking at local game devs for internships or local temp agencies for temp positions that will let you make contacts.
  12. the room is a small square room with a small raised square area in the center. There are four pillers, one in each corner, on the raised square. There is a body, i think it's a Sith corpse, in the center of the raised square. When you search the body it will spawn a couple Hssiss. Spam search the body to create Hssiss goodness. I went from level 16 to level 45 in less than half an hour. it was awesome
  13. why would a large company want to purchase Troika? They don't hold any licenses, they've got a proven track record of being un-able to release AAA titles, and they don't have any strong associations with any publishers. A company buying them wouldn't be getting anything other than a bunch of talented people, which they could just hire away anyway once Troika goes under. I'm sad to see Troika go, but i feel like they did this to themselves through poor management and poor business planning.
  14. Just curious, but did anyone get an epilog for Hanharr? I thought it was alittle odd that he's just not mentioned at the end. I'm I just missing something here?
  15. "J00r bugz R maKING me MAD!!!1!!! J00 guys muzt B stoopid!!111!! O ya, I Love yor Game!!1 Now make MOre!!11!!" man, cruising forums just makes me hate gamers. Posts like this that are just knee-jerk, un-informed crap just make me wish i had gotten into police work or gone to lawschool instead of going into games. I bet OB developers just do a dance of unadulterated joy when they come across a post like this.
  16. too bad america doesn't. Hate cults should not be tolerated in any society, ever.
  17. Vampire: Blooadlines at Gamerankings.com 80% KOTOR 2 at GAmerankings.com 85% so not much difference in the overall critical success of either game. I believe Troika's problem is that they pissed alot of money into technology research for the PA game while counting on receiving royalties from bloodlines. When HL2 delayed bloodlines it also pushed back when they would start seeing money from it. in short, they screwed themselves.
  18. i just wrapped my fourth play through. I'm probably gonna play it again.
  19. Pastor Fred Phelps is the pastor of the Westboro Baptist church, or the WBC. He preaches that hate is god's greatest virtue. He's the sickest kind of psycho, since he believes himself totally righteous in his actions. He protested the Shepard funeral with signs saying "GOD HATES ****" and "MATHEW SHEPARD BURNS IN **** HELL". Real swell guy. He even tried to have a statue erected at the site of the shepard murder of Mathew Shepard with a plaque saying "Here a **** was sent to hell" or something similiarly sympathetic and humane. he's a douche.
  20. just for ****s and giggles... http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/m...rty/expose3.htm
  21. Fred Phelps strikes again. It really is amazing how much hate this sad little dis-barred lawyer has in him.
  22. didn't Bioware copyright the name "Star Citadel" a year back and haven't they dropped hits at working on a Space Opera style game? I'm thinking that the secret project that they're working on is an original IP space opera of their own. I'm gonna wager that we won't hear anything about kotor 3 until e3. Reason being that they're still tallying the sales of KOTOR 2, pushing to get the PC and international version out, and then tehy have to wait to get the sales figures from that.
  23. I'm currently running a Shadowrun Campaign and a Dune campaign using the Last Unicorn limited run core book. I'm also a fan of "All Flesh Must Be Eaten" for fast and fun play and D20 star wars - which i'm trying to write a home rules set for the KOTOR era. I enjoy the Palladium system games, like Rifts or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but they're too cumbersome to want to play a log campaign with.
  24. as far as i know, any published material can be considered when hiring a writer. BUT...you serious should only submit works that express your talents in what they're most likely going to be looking for. Things like Grammatical structure, natural dialog, character development, etc. Professionally published work is always good though, since it shows you've been able to work within a deadline and have delivered quality work.
  25. And you would be wrong on the why. FPS are more popular because they can primarily be enjoyed via multi-player. Halo 2 single player sucks, but it's multiplayer sold it through the roof. Name a successful FPS that eschews multiplayer. You can't. A FPS to ship without multiplayer support is commiting commercial suicide and publishers know this. RTS games sell well for the same reason. You can play against your friends. Multiplayer isn't the sole selling point for either type of game, but it definitely contributes greatly to their commercial success. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Enter MMORPG's. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sadly Jag, you're dead on. I've been in on meetings where someone has pitched an RPG proposal and the first question asked is "Does it have MMP potential?"
