  1. A god caught between mortal, human flesh and higher immortality-- represented by a twisting amorphous mass of flesh/meat becoming manifest in our world, half in half out.
  2. Couldn't agree more. I remember dialog being more involved and engaging when I was reading it. I think the main reason for this is that when everything is fully VO-ed you simply can't afford to have long, lengthy, engaging dialog (a la Planescape) without paying an arm and a leg AND/OR running into really bad voice acting. When it's mostly written, well.. the sky is the limit, and it really keeps the game much more creatively fresh.
  3. The old school way is best-modern VA seems to be costly and would detract from the core game.
  4. I agree with this. A time limit just stresses me out.. and that isn't fun.
  5. I'd like a tutorial. I'd prefer it to be optional, because the drag of having to go through a tutorial every time I want to start over in a RPG usually keeps me from replaying.
  6. I need a story to justify what I'm doing in game, otherwise I lose interest very quickly. That's even if the combat is awesome. If I don't have a reason to do what I'm doing, then I get bored really fast.
  7. TES handles races in the most blatantly racist way possible and is not an example anyone should follow. It's still a mystery to me how nobody seriously calls them out on that **** in this day and age. "Negro-err REDGUARDS are dark skinned people with broad noses that excel at physical activities and athletics but are beneath other races in intellect and wisdom! They are well suited to be athletes and manual laborers but poorly equipped for scholarly, academic pursuits and careers!" Redguards are almost word for word a racist charicature of African Americans. All they did was take the shiftless and criminal aspects of the stereotype and apply it to the beast races, who are just an extension of that negative racial stereotyping. There's nothing enlightened or meaningful about TES' racist undertones. I don't see it that way at all, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
  8. I really like snowy locales and moody forests. Very tired with barren wastelands that seem to pop up in every game. So boring. I thought Skyrim had an excellent game environment.
  9. I too like the way TES handles orcs. Could essentially lead to interesting racial conflicts and racial dilemmas with other races that could be enlightening and meaningful.
  10. It's a decent idea, but I think that actual implementation would prove it to be convoluted and annoyingly limiting in game
