  1. I don't know much about NA's and what I do know I generally learned from you so please indulge me in a couple more questions: Reservations are made up from the same tribes or tribes are mixed? Assuming the former, I would have expected a closer sense of unity amongst tribesmen, at least while on the reservation. Kinda "us-against-them" but that's not necessarily the case if there is such an antagonistic relationship between the citizens and the authorities? Is there a such thing as discrimination between different tribes?
  2. Um...well...I actually downloaded Pokémon GO. Totally for research purposes with my daughter. Totally. I started the game and there was a Pokémon in the corner of my bedroom! Huzzah! I walked over by there and threw a couple balls at it, missing every time. So I got a little closer. Still kept missing. A little closer now, where I'm literally almost standing in the corner like I put myself on timeout, and I finally catch Squirtle! Then the display changes to a map of my neighborhood and I realized that I actually have to leave my house to play the game. That coupled with the app, without permission on iOS devices, gaining FULL access to your Google account, made for a swift deletion. I aint trying to walk around to play a game.
  3. Are reservation police composed of Native Americans?
  4. Yep. All those locations I listed were visited more than once during my two WESTPAC's. Good times but definitely a young, single persons game.
  5. Oh yeah, I forgot about going to Dubai (UAE). Of course during Gulf War 1 it wasnt the glittering jewel it is today. Oppressive, ridiculous heat and cabbies of questionable hygiene aside, we always had a good time there. Sometimes in the middle of the day large spires would start broadcasting a prayer or something and the bars would stop serving until it was over, which was kinda a bummer. But we learned to overcome and order a crapton of drinks before prayers started to hold us over until the bar reopened. Hilariously Dubai has almost as many Filipino women as the Philippines.
  6. Ive been to a bunch of US states but while I was in the Navy: Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Brazil, Virgin Islands, and Chile (all in the 90's). More recently, the missus and I have taken a shine to any all inclusive resort in Mexico.
  7. Im going off script here: My favorite country for partying is Thailand. Sweet jesus the debauchery. My favorite country for "the nicest people you will ever meet in your life" goes the Chile. Well, Valparaiso Chile anyway, in the early 90's.
  8. Thanks BVC, but I must respecfully decline.
  9. I appreciate the offer but I only accept cash money bribes.
  10. Heh, thanks kgambit. The missus bought me a wee little one that fits in the palm of my hand and I'm terrifically bad at flying it. Thank god I started out with a cheapo model.
  11. Brexit: Petition for second EU referendum rejected.
  12. Thats exactly what I like about fishing, its relaxing nature. Im a lazy fisherman. I throw a couple of lines in the water, set up my folding chair, and sit back and watch the world go by. For excitement, open ocean deep sea and trolling are the way to go. There there be dragons.
  13. Oh happy day, the fan light does have a dimmer! Pays to rtfm. Now I have the weighty decision of going fishing or laying back down for a while.
  14. Speaking of which, the fan is installed and cooling me as we speak. The light however seems to have the same luminosity as the sun and it doesnt have a dimmer.
  15. Not the same as strapping a grenade to a bomb disposal robot. Agreed? Perhaps if you read the exchange between ShadySands and myself it will become clearer. Shady (and I) didn't know police could use bombs. I responded that I thought "using a bomb on mooks" had fallen into disfavor because of the MOVE situation. Otherwise I completely agree that fire bombs dropped on civilians is bad and that it is completely different delivery system than a robot.
  16. Agreed? Im not sure what youre trying to say.
  17. Yeah, I thought they were no longer used since the MOVE debacle.
  18. Dallas sniper attack. Holy crap, we have bomb planting robots? That's beautiful. *wipes manly tear from eye*
  19. Ordered and received a new ceiling fan for my bedroom. Last night I took the dead one down and today I will hang the new one. And like my living room fan, this new one has a remote control so no more standing up like a chump to use the pull chains.
  20. Were you home schooled Elerond?
  21. Faster than a GTX 980 for $250.
  22. Huh, for some reason I thought the Crazy Horse sculpture was much further along than just the face.
  23. Condolences Bartimaeus.
  24. God I hate tiling... so is this going to be a rental property for you? Quick flip?
