What You Did Today
Condolences Oerwinde. Went fishing yesterday and caught a medium size catfish (released it) and my buddy caught a 15" bass (kept it). After that, an evening of garage drinking and watching the rain. Planning more of the same today.

US Election 2016, part II
Once hes done with The Trump Wall, were finally going to build that water pipeline from Alaska that was quashed in the 90's. You others water rich countries take note. If this doesn't work were coming for your water too. But seriously, why aren't we just making desalination plants every 10Ft? Weve got thousands of miles of coast.

Defining Social Justice Warrior
I follow and fully agree. But isn't the sense of touch nothing more than an electrical stimulation to a certain part of your brain? I think even now we are developing artificial limbs that are simulating "touch". Of course it will need an on/off switch for when I explore the sun.

Now imagine this body with your brain in it. No need for food/water/air...you could explore space or take a stroll in the Mariana Trench. These fleshy bags we live in are our biggest weakness.

Defining Social Justice Warrior
I wish I was born 100 years from now so I could have been a cyborg. Imagine having a WiFi-like capability built directly into your brain and being able to at any time reference any information in the collection of humanity. /drool

Defining Social Justice Warrior
You only need a human in the front end taking orders and dealing with people. Everything from the register on back can be automated. I agree that maintenance would need to be factored in but thats chump change compared to "managing" a human. No rest, no errors. Humans are almost always the weak link in a system, unless you need decision making capabilities. And I think in our lifetime we will see machine even overcome that limitation.

I found it interesting that in a little over one year of paying someone $15/hour, you completely pay off the robot in full (2080 x 15 = 31200).

Valve sued over discrimination and other inner hostilities
Yeah, that's the part that makes my radar flicker. Its very convenient in todays day and age to squeal like a pig with cries of discrimination every time you don't get what you want. It cant just be that she sucks, it MUST be because shes transgender.

I'm here to chit-chat, not research someone else's topics. Generally speaking, when having informal conversations, I will take what the person offers as a summary of the talking points. That's just how I roll. Others prefer to drive it into the ground. I wonder what the laws are regarding unpaid minors. Maybe nothing since they aren't technically an employee?
