More importantly, who actually cares? Because 213374U's post is worded like majority does. ... Like, who of y'all remembers the time where GOG purposefully cut paying customer's access to their games for a publicity stunt? No idea what you are talking about mate, must missed that one too

I must have missed it, what Paradox done during GG?

A Special Announcement From Obsidian
Chilloutman replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Obsidian General
Not gonna argue, you are for sure allowed to have your opinion. I for one am not interested in any vetting program or forum moderation. Never had problem/needed their customer service beside reseting my password which worked fine. Again to each his own I say. -

Exactly. But since NetFlix and Valve are really the odd man out in the bunch, the powers that be will have their own stores/streaming services up. It's just not how the real life works, having everything under one roof. And its a good thing too, because then they'd have an monopoly. And they will always will be if others will not make their alternative open platform, which they will never do ofc. Valve does not see other game developers/publishers as competitors but partners, something Microsoft, Ubisoft or any other big publisher would never allowed. 15 years ago games did not needed any clients and worked just fine, noone is forcing those publishers to use clients except their own greed, they can perfectly release their games as DRM free games as GoG does. -

Customers did leave them. POE2 was commercially disappointing. A shame, since I loved it, but we have to face the facts that our niche fandom was barely keeping Obsidian afloat, so while they may be 'losing customers', they've already lost plenty and that's why this business deal is probably necessary. I am not disputing it. I didn't got second PoE either because I just don't like pirate settings and guns in my RPGs. I still have to play Tyranny but going 180 will sure alienate rest of their audience. Noone know for sure if it will happen but we have some examples where it happend, and we don't have many where it did not. Just look on latest Diablo fiasco. -

That's the thing. You don't know what kind of games Obsidian will make in the future. You are presuming and making assumptions. If WIndows Store actually gets better, is it really a bad option for Steam? Should Valve have the whole PC marketplace for themselves? 1. Maybe because we have seen it mutliple times? Maybe bacause Microsoft actuallt tells us they want them to focus on XBox exclusives? OR maybe because I have been in their boots? 2. I don't care about closed environmets, I don't buy Apple products for same reason, speak what you want about Steam, I understand why people dont like it, but in the end its open platform for everyone who wish to participate. More power to GoG I say but Steam is still reasonable alternative -

No offence, but idiots like you are the reason why companies that get bought often fail. No wonder studios get closed when they can't make any profit. When their loyal fans go and cry in the corner and stop buying the products, What are you talking about? If someone makes burgers I like and go there to eat suddenly switch to vegan stuff I should just blindly follow? What is this corporate slavery mentality?? Noone going to leave Obs if they keep producing cRPGs as we all love, if they start working on XBox exclusives and sell stuff through Windows Store than I am sorry but I can vote with my wallet -

Isn't that more thanks to Merkel's opposition or is logic that Germans have become more prejudiced against foreigner because Merkel has been too accepting of foreigners or that Merkel has actually preached anti-foreign message even though people accuse her to be too accepting of foreigners? Depends on how you look at it I suppose but lets be clear, no matter your view on it, truth is - if there were not mass immigration to germany - largely supported by Merkel at least at start, there would be hardly anti immigration tendencies, Agree? It is possible, but anti immigration especially prejudice against foreigners has been on rise all over even in countries which have seen quite little of immigration. So it is difficult to say how much fearmongering against immigrants there would have been without Merkel's decisions, especially when you take in consideration that immigration debate in USA would have most likely still been as fierce as it has been now and that Merkel's policies aren't behind the mass immigration from Africa which is cause behind problems in Southern Europe which is source for lots of the anti-immigration sentiment. Also lots of anti-immigration sentiment behind brexit was caused by Polish workers, also in here Finland big sunk of the anti-immigration sentiment comes from idea that cheap workers from the Estonia and Poland will replace Finnish workers, that sentiment long before refugee crisis and Merkel's decisions. So I would say that Merkel and her decisions are just easy targets for sentiments and developments that would have existed without her. Well people don't live in bubble of their won country. You don't have to wait to have problems in your country to recognize them in another. Also there is free travel in EU. I know few people who told me that they are for sure not going to Paris in any near future for example. Can't blame them.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON
Chilloutman replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
If this isn't brutal and rugged, then I don't know what is. For someone like me, who has lived most his life in Iran, that just sounds like another sunday. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a movie to watch: try this one: -

I also didn't liked that gothic aestetics of WH40K at start, it seemed strange for 'future' setting but lore behinde it actually make it really interesting and grimdark -
