  1. I wasn't talking about the history of religion or even the reality of religion. I was talking about perception. It is a popular perception in countries where these religions are dominant that Christianity and Islam provide a moral compass and those without it are lacking. Again, it is not an idea I agree with, I am simply saying it exists. My question was; is it similar to the idea that only people with children can be concerned about the future; which is what Meshugger put forward. Sometimes people do fallaciously believe this, its a normal view I would think as if you have kids you may assume your concern for the future is logical ....but its a misperception, well meaning of course I have many objectives for the future based on numerous realities.... that's the problem, there is only one reality...
  2. I am sure someone already posted it already but it needs to be stressed more
  3. more like people without kids push for private schools - there i finally make decent analogy

  5. That's an interesting way to look at it. Is that like the idea that people without religion are immoral? no its like idea that people without religion push secular ideas. Don't understand where you get religion = morality It's a pretty popular idea, I am certainly not saying I agree with it. Of course the idea that you need to have children in order to respect the future also seems a bit off to me. I was not agreeing with his statement completely, I just don't like your example at all. Especially you as teacher should know that morality was not associated with religion from dawn of civilisation (eg ancient Greek philosophers), and then you have people like Kant Also most religions are amoral and hypocritical as example from bible: "How do you want people to deal with you, so do you with them." because it usually expect that its relevant for only followers of that religion, so its fine to be 'amoral' to others as long as they don't belong to your 'group'

  7. I can agree on Doom, probaly, I didn't played it. But my reaction was towards Fallout series
  8. and that is part of the problem, kinda like Korn. I love their old hardcore stuff but I can't stand that new pop sh*t. Yeah they sell more now, but old fans are disappointed. Quantity usually lowers quality. Tons of people listen to pop while its generally considered by people who understand music as garbage. Sad that same is happening to games recently
  9. I heard Guardians of Galaxy 2 fall short as there is AGAIN too much pathos and tearful stories about painful childhood and such. Can't we have movies without it from time to time? I kinda enjoyed first one :/
  10. nah we are fine, we don have Euro. But others getting hit pretty hard, ECB print money which than stays in wealthy states so they are getting richer while poorer states getting.. well more poor. and its just economic aspect...
  11. My friend trust me there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the EU, it is exactly as it always has been. Its an economic union and offers any country that is prepared to integrate into the single market real economic growth and sustainability You can ask our friends on this forum who claim not to like the EU but live in it what is wrong with the EU, the responses dont really make sense. People claim to " want their sovereignty " back......sovereignty ? Thats just a word that populists echo thinking it has meaning yet any country that really does leave the EU will find sovereignty doesnt mean much with a failed economy. The UK is an exception to this but they will also have to accept some tough economic times ahead until they have stabilized there new economy and trade deals But of course things sometimes go wrong and lessons need to be learnt, the initial well meaning offer around Germany and all the refugees was a mistake. You cannot force every country to welcome Muslims who come from Sharia countries and in some cases dont understand Western values so there have been issues around integration So I can understand real concerns around immigration..... yeah, suuuure: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-ecb-banks-cash-idUSKBN17Y1B7?il=0

  13. Evidence? Are her own promises enough evidence? http://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/224564/marine-le-pen-wants-to-ban-french-jews-from-wearing-yarmulkes-and-having-dual-israeli-citizenship French presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen said that she would bar dual citizenship with non-European Union countries if elected. Earlier this week, the far-right leader reiterated her longstanding support for banning the wearing of yarmulkes in public spaces, as part of an overall ban on religious (mostly Muslim) attire. “The struggle against radical Islam should be a joint struggle and everyone should say, ‘there, we are sacrificing something,’” she told Israel’s Channel 2. “Maybe they [Jews] will do with just wearing a hat [instead of a yarmulke], but it would be a step in the effort to stamp out radical Islam in France.” Conveniently, Le Pen has never called to ban wearing crosses in public, having previously claimed that “the Catholic religion doesn’t have conspicuous symbols.” https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/87177/marine-le-pens-muslim-slaughter-ban-targets-kosher-meat/ While campaigning at a meat market near Paris, Marine Le Pen, the right-wing candidate in the ongoing French presidential elections, announced that, if elected, she would ban ritual slaughtering of animals. This announcement caused even more concern about the presidential candidate, whose anti-Muslim platform will also harm Jews. Read more at https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/87177/marine-le-pens-muslim-slaughter-ban-targets-kosher-meat/#1Y54RPY5HlOZzp6f.99 In Le Pen's campaign promises https://www.marine2017.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/projet-presidentiel-marine-le-pen.pdf "Buried midway through the lengthy document at number 87, Le Pen promises to create an “improved” form of civil unions in the country to “replace” the equal marriage law passed under the current Socialist government in 2013. It would be a return to the former status quo for France, which only permitted same-sex couples to enter a contractual form of civil union (PACS) from 1999 until 2013. As well as plans to tamper with equality laws, Le Pen also outlines plans to restrict fertility services, ending assistance for gay couples wanting to have children." http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2017/02/14/frances-marine-le-pen-quietly-pledges-to-end-same-sex-marriage/ so she is against inhuman killing of animals and against dual citizenship that sounds quite ok to me
  14. Little more of home brew beer punk
  15. Expeditions: Vikings? Always start with everyone equipped with shields. You have two weapon sets. It will help. If it's not about said game, I'll show myself out. yeah vikings, how far you are? and don't worry, already know that trick with shields...
  16. ok, now game thrown me into fight 8 (enemy) vs 6 (me) where enemy have 4 archers in cover (you can't shoot back) miles away from me, I am in open field without any cover and enemy have first turn. I think I will soon end in on psychiatry ward.... Edit: After 15 attempt I barely managed to win the fight, than game glitched and I was unable to start conversation at my next objective, loading quick save didn't helped - almost got hearth attack, luckily game auto saved after winning that major battle so after 4rd load conversation kicked in. At this rate I will not survive till end of this...
  17. well he proclaimed that he is not happy with current version of EU as well, so maybe there will be at least some attempt for restructuralization but i doubt it..
  18. So back at Expeditions: Vikings - for some unknown reason I am forced to search for timber in barrels all over the world while I own forest next to my village and my vikings are unable to hop over even the lowest fences. Its driving me nuts
  19. well you response seems to be a little bit over reacting, considering fact he actually complimented you
  20. Volo is to savage, these ods are not worth it Well... perhaps the fact that I was complimenting him is lost on some here? Maybe he himself? I don't know. There's no 'vs' occurring, unless one thoroughly misunderstood what I wrote. I got it, but he still responded according to his views, you tried to convince him no to spouse 'Nazi' that much and it put him into rage xD
  21. Volo is to savage, these ods are not worth it
  22. at least you are consistent xD
  23. I was baiting him to that reply, I wanted to know if he really bite
  24. btw if someone is interested in playing Stellaris multiplayer let me know!
