The pros in my case are mainly that it coincides better with my next pay cheque and it gives me more time to weigh up exactly which tier I will back at and what extras I might want. Beyond that I am generally a procrastinator when it comes to this sort of thing, though that's not so much a pro as simply an aspect of my character. As someone reminded me at the start of the campaign when I said I don't have money at the time (can't remember who was right now, sorry mate!), remember that you're not charged anything until the campaign is over. So you can back now, raise later or just abort backing

Ok I got it. Thanks a lot Boeroer. Yeah that was a problem in Pillars and was super stupid.

As long as we don't know the exact scope of the base game, everyone's gonna be let down by stretach goals. Naturally so. As I said before, I think most interesting features are already in base game so I don't expect any super exciting stretch goals. That said, Obsidian should give it away (the full scope) soon. They go bit by bit but this doesen't help imo. We're a bit in the dark. Backer goal is cool tough; Fulvano's travels as a replacement to the Endless Paths sounds great.

Updated OP with 2 links about the new reputation system and about proficiencies and skills. Increased duties in work and personal life had me occupied last few days so I couldn't keep up as much as I wanted and this might continue from so on. Anyhow, I'll keep updating OP with whatever new info I gather; feel free to post any new stuff I'll probably miss

The IE purist leftovers are back to haunt this campaign too, I see Whatever each of us is thinking an IE successor is, the team has clearly pointed out 3 things they consider an IE successor must have (and keep in mind, they made the IE games ). Thankfully I agree completely. I can add a couple more but they're included in the game anyway so I'm happy with that. Smaller party might take away a tiny beet of feel but, as I mentioned many times before, party size it's not a big deal for me. Also I don't see how 6 party member are objectively better for encounter design and not 5 or 7. Makes no sense. You design your encounters around your system. If you think your system works better to make interesting encounters with 5, you go with 5. If you thinks with 6, you go with 6, if you think with 7 you go with 7 etc. This conversation is totally pointless until we have gameplay in our hands. Τελεία και παύλα.

He's a diehard fan of pnp D&D. I think he has written modules and the prologue of 5ed or something like that. You have some info on the real wiki, and here you have him playing with Matt Mercer. I don't know if he's interested, but it would be awesome if he could promote the game. Yeah I know. Stil... :D

My post was half-joking. I am not pro everything PoE 2 proposes per se. I just don't believe the "IE feel" is the same for everyone. I just find myself agreeing with Sawyer on what is a spiritual successor to IE games as he points out those 3 pillars in the campaign video. Mostly. Party size is not a big concern for me. As a matter of fact, I see Dragon Age Origins as a successful successor to BGs even if it had party size of 4; which I don't like generally, but I did liked it in D:OS. So party size not a big deal. Other than that I am a bit concerned about removing the dual health/stamina system and its concequences (making all abilities per encouter and having them powered-up by per-rest class resources).

Split Health/Stamina
Sedrefilos replied to desel's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
thb a classic health-only system is not going to confuse anyone. Not the Pollars 1 veterans nor the newcomers. It's the standard system used in 99,9% of games. But I DO liked the Pillars 1 system. It tighted very well with the resting mechanic and all. I just hope, if they decide to drop it at the end, the new injuries and class resource systems they are heading for, worth it. -
Believe me, it's worth it. Pillars has one of the best endings (also pre-endings) of the genre imo. RPGs, as good as they may be as games, they usually don't have good endings (it's the adventure that counts! ). This also applies to White March. If you haven't played it and can afford it, I definetly propose you do it, since you haven't finished the basic game yet
