KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions

1000 posts Time for the next chapter methinks. -
NWN isnt NWN1 either. All I did was omit the number since your the only one having a problem coming to terms with that cant say I'm going to lose sleep over it. Since I didnt put NWN1 screenshots it's not a lie , it's just me being lazy and crediting people with reasoning at the same time.

It's probably about brand loyalty. Actually I own all three consoles (and the handhelds) but I stopped buying Xbox games sometime ago (when they announced the 360) because of the iffy BC policy. I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of games that wont work on the new console and I wont purchase any just in case. The other two revolution and PS3 are a long way off so much can change. But Sony do have a record of decent BC (from PS to PS2) and Nintendo offer the chance to play all those golden oldies again Anyway lets say for sake of argument the following. 1. I have a an Xbox with 30 games and nothing much about the 360's line up exites me. Once I've played the few games I'm interested in the 360 gathers dust. This is what is currently happening to my PSP btw. 2. I have a PS2 with 30 games again only one or two of the PS3 games are of interest, however the PS3 should play most of the PS2 and PS games which means even if the PS3 release is slow I can play my old favourites in the mean time. This is exactly what happened with my DS. When I had it as a gift there were no games around that I was into. However I still got to use it as an oversized GBA until the games caught up. One other thing, I started playing the Final Fantasy games with FFX. Thanks to the PS2's BC I was still able to play them retroactively back to I (except for III ) Otherwise your simply better off waiting a year and then you get a huge catalogue of games, plus you get everything at a lower price. One of the things about the new consoles which a lot of people are overlooking. You aint getting the graphical quality that it shows on the back of the boxes or in screenshots unless you have a TV that will cost you more than the console. Otherwise the graphical jump isnt that great. And aside from Nintendo I doubt you will get much beyond graphical updates for things like Halo and Gotham Racing anyway.

Common sense would dictate not posting screenies for a game that has been out for ages as news. I'm sure everyone else managed to figure that one out. When they are released then thats a different matter but as of now it's blindingly obvious.

My first post was hello

Not silly at all it definately has some applications which could be considered dubious.
-
Not so sure about that it depends on the purpose behind it. This is after all an RPG board of sorts so most people here will have some RPG background and be totally used to playing multiple characters.

Your not being tricked by a person , but your body is being tricked into keeping it's balance because your not even aware of it. I suppose your objection has to do with the puppet potential of the device?
-
Same thing happens when your on a swaying bridge. Everyone will instinctively step in time with the sway. Thats why troops break step, because you end up setting up a harmonic disturbance that can bring the bridge down. Even when your aware what is happening most people still can't overcome the need for balance

I don't find the idea appealing. It also depends on the long term effects since having an inner ear infection can really screw you up.
-
It depends how you have your browser set up and which browser you are using. It's about time the KOTOR III thread got restarted.
-
My bad for thinking that everyone has a certain level of common sense.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess you didnt read Fionavar's post

That would be Syria.. Is it still treason here to deface a coin of the realm ?

I'm too lazy to have alternate accounts. Seeing people arguing with themselves is kind of funny though. Some people will use two accounts to kick off a debate or a flamefest in a slow thread.

I have one word to answer that: Daikatana. Daikatana. Gaming development is a bell curve, I think. The longer a game takes, the better it gets, until at a certain point it starts getting a lot worse. But maybe this will be an exception. I doubt it, though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It dosnt sound too bad. I just have so much stuff arriving over the next 2 weeks (9 titles I think) that it would be more prudent to wait for the price to drop since I'm not likely to even play it for months anyway.

We were in a hotel once... funny story but probably not suitable for here.

Suprised no ones picked this up, but here they are. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61426 I was reading the Lost in Blue review and I happened across them.

Sorry to hear that

They tend to shut them down when they get big.

Win your own Development Studio.

I suppose you would have to ask the people who won the previous competitions. I heard about that cheeky wasnt it. -
Bored of all the game concepts out there right now? Reckon you've got a better idea? Then why not enter Sony Japan's new Yaroze 2006 competition and show 'em how it should be done. Sony is inviting both amateurs and professionals to submit game ideas for the PS2, PSP and PS3. The winner will receive acess to a studio and development team, project funds and living expenses, and of course the unparalleled joy of seeing their very own game on shop shelves. This isn't the first time Sony has run such a competition - previous winners include the creators of Devil Dice, Bombtastic and Doko Demo Issho. But it is the first time entrants have been invited to submit ideas for PSP and PS3, rather excitingly. Fancy giving it a shot? Well you'll have to wait until November 15, since that's when the 'Let's Play a Game' competition website will launch, via which you'll be able to send in your application. The closing date for entries will be some time in February 2006. It's not yet known whether Jack Thompson will be entering. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61419

Depends how many games you own and what else the console has to offer. The 360 is pretty low on the ladder when it comes to what it has to offer in addition. Take a look at Kong when you get the chance.

The Revolution will be globalized
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to kumquatq3's topic in Computer and Console
Nah , the numbers in the first year are a fraction of the overall sales. Where the Cube "failed" is they didnt get the heavy hitters out soon enough and their flag game (windwaker) was too different. If you look over the cube coming soon there are a load more AAA titles to come. Most noteworthy of course being Twilight Princess.
