Japan Does It Again
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Computer and Console
When I was reading about it I had the vision of a Japanese guy sitting at his desk tapping a pencil. Then suddenly leaping up shouting the japanese for eurika before running off exitedly to the bosses office. -
http://gamershell.com/download_11750.shtml A Japanese game developer called Game Programming Study Club has created what is probably the weirdest Japanese game to date. We have seen it all before, animated porn, animated violence, but in Line-Kill Spirits players must fight a one on one battle and take upskirt pictures while battling to score extra points. I think our source, Inverted Castle sums it up beautifully: "The Japanese are done. They can now return to planet Japania, leaving all the people of Earth horribly confused and scarred for life.". A movie with 1:45 minutes of in-game footage is up for grabs at our download archive for anyone interested in this game (pervs). Never cease to suprise do they. I found it hillarious (more than someone would actually make the game the content to be honest) but I'm sure some of you will be very disturbed by it.

Hammer & Sickle Review & Demo
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to kumquatq3's topic in Computer and Console
I've found a way to finish the demo without firing a shot. There also appears to be a special battle scene if you kill all the Americans in town. It dosnt look like it's winnable at all. Don't actually get to see the prison on that route. Maybe someone will win , but I doubt it given how things are set up. It probably didnt help that I happened to be carrying all the weapons from the dead americans so 200-300% weight. If you want to check it out all you have to do is kill all the police in town. Then when the Americans show up kill them too. Maybe they came across stuff that I didnt, but incident with teleporting policemen aside I think they were overly harsh with the review. -
It's just a matter of using the right chemical. Wasps are not known for their reasoning.

Tremere They have some interesting powers but since they dont work on everything you can get seriously stuck if you only specialise in them. -
Hammer & Sickle Review & Demo

Found something interesting. If you stick the game into constant turns. You can wander around the prison. Moshe was seen bythe commandant but I used the papers(which oddly were on the russian guy). The game appeared to lock up (after about 10 seconds I pressed esc) hey presto mission accomplished. -

Not really, the dice are rolled in advance to a degree. So when you attack the outcome is already fixed. It means you cant switch off and then back on to change the result. You cant save mid battle although you can suspend the game at any time which is handy on a handheld. If restarted the chapter the outcome could be different. The most common place you notice is in level up. In some instances you can get nothing on level up (very rare) restart and level up again and you could get every single stat up (again very rare). That means even if you replay your characters wont be exactly the same so the tactics that worked before might not now. Ditto in Fire Emblem even more so for two reasons. You have relatively weak characters who cant take a hit , but at the same time have to be near the front lines. And the rock paper scissors way the system works. For example charge a spearman with a sword user and you will likely lose. Since they come in combined units it's absoultely critical to pick your targets. I'd say Fire Emblem was more tactical , although less reliant on micromanagement. Oh you mean the way the reinforcements just pop up ? I hated that I purposely had units watch the roads and they still get suprised. Its not too tough though they come in tightly packed so grenades will take them out, then use the long range weapons on the group that comes in from the bottom. It's kind of helpful if the woman can snip the guy in the tower before everyone arrives or it can get messy. I never went into the prison itself , the turns were taking to long with all those allies messing about. Twice though the guy you were supposed to find died in the first round which seemed kind of weird since there isnt any way that you can get to them before they break out as far as I can tell. I'm also not sure where the roleplaying is supposed to come in since I had the correct uniform and papers but still got shot at entering the map . -

I'd call it clunky rather than complicated. Fire Emblem autosaves at the start of each battle and the outcome is already worked out so you cant reset and have a different outcome. -
For compartive purposes. Kotor is a Forgotten Realms novel - entertaining but about as deep as puddle. KOTOR II is the Silmarilion - Not straghtforward but that much more rewarding for those who can grasp it.

Yes indeed :D Why would you drop the price of a game that is still selling anyway. No sense in that is there. -

Too much waiting around I quit after the second mission where the deceided to put all those allies in the prison. Add to that not being able to save in combat on higher levels and the bugs which means a a bug or crash is going to wipe out hours of play. Games that dont want you to "cheat" the system should learn from how Fire Emblem does it. -
It's quite disconcerting that , especially when the rest of the world dosnt age at all. Also while in prison you dont age either

A regular person couldnt survive that close to lava. Their clothes would combust. It does make sense that either Anakin was out of power or the shock of having both his legs chopped off broke his concentration. It's a little more difficult to explain Obi, although in the original screenplay the scene was written in a completely different way.

I'd like to meet that two year old

Thats what happens when you get too close to lava. I suppose you could say that during the battle they were using the force to counteract the heat (those powers do exist although never in the movies). After the battle they were both out of force points so Obi Going back would have caused him to go crispy. Maybe thats why he couldnt push him into the lava either.

People who can't own a credit card shouldnt be playing MMPORGS.

Here you go. http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/produc...bloodrayne_(pc) In theory based on the specs my old machine should have run it flawlessly but it didnt. -

Brand name of a tissue or something is it ? It just saves me the hassle of having to write Square-Enix all the time. Troika could have probably been a serious competitor or even surpassed Bioware if they actually managed to make a game that wasnt riddled with serious and obvious bugs. You have to be seriously pissed off with everything else that is out there to overlook those. -

Thats a strange order. Interogate makes perfect sense of course, but it would be unlikely that an order to humilate anyone would be given non verbally. Not so sure about that. If I told you to fix something and you didnt know exactly how would you try to do it and possibly **** it up or would you ask for a more experienced person to be sent ? -

Only Cloud is a spikey hair kid with a big sword. Your showing your ignorance of the games -
Since I have the day to myself I'm playing the story mode of Ratchet Gladiator. It's kind of like a dark comedy version of Running Man it's also reather good fun with lots of different sorts of gameplay in there. Thankfully not too many platforms.

I loved Disgaea , I could never get on with Phantom Brave though. In the end I just powered up the main character which seemed to defeat the object. I've got Battalion Wars arriving on Friday, but I'll stick this on order just in case it disapears. I wont be able to play it till after the holidays most likely. They had stock so I bought one

Obsidan not yet although perhaps at some point in the future. Troika has gone the way of the dodo and it's not like it wasnt deserved. Bethesda make very different games from Bioware, almost the opposite of Bioware in fact. Where as bioware games put you on a story path with little freedom Bethesda put you in a big world and tag on the story as an afterthought. I guess if you could combine the two and had the machine to do it justice you would have something that wolud improve upon the old Ultima games which wouldnt be a bad thing. There is only one RPG king and that is Sqenix Actually they are more like RPG gods
