  1. Everybody should be attackable, but not everybody should be defenceless enough to be easily killable. And if you insist to stupidly slay someone important you should find yourself stuck where you are in the game.
  2. Two rings per character worked fine to me in the Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate games.
  3. Fire arms were used in the Hundred Years' War and the Hussite Wars, alongside with knights and clerics, without ruining the medieval vibe of these events or making medieval tactics instantly obsolete. Chris Avellone further explicitely stated that there is no printing press in P:E, so the general level of technology most likely is not too advanced, either.
  4. If this game is to revive the spirit of the classsic RPGs, potions are a must. I never relied too much on potions, so I think they are not too powerful.
  5. I agree, from what I gather from the updates and interviews, there seems to be a very concrete notion about the world and what might happen in the game. They are definitely beyond the early planning phase. Btw, I really like your avatar, SesameTree.
  6. What don't they do?? They can fly around near you! They can chirp, or whistle in some cases! They can scare away worms! They can occupy your old wizards free-time with seeds/bread! They can prevent you from planting trees! They can repair your quills/arrows once a week! (Allow a full week for proper feather regeneration) And most importantly, they can hide in your backpack and scare the crap out of would-be pickpockets! I see. Obviously no hero should be without a bird!
  7. Project Eternity has become so well-known by now that it'd be sensible too keep it as "Eternity". Maybe make it "[HEADLINE]: Eternity", in the vein of "PLANESCAPE: Torment", or "Forgotten Realms: Baldur's Gate", etc.
  8. I think birds are basically not a bad idea. But what would they do?
  9. I think the Endless Dungeon should not be regarded as a key feature of the game. Probably it is similar to Watcher's Keep in ToB - it's huge, has its own storyline, but is a side endeavour that has nothing to with the actual storyline. To me, it appears to be a treat for backers at Kickstarter (so that not just the amount of money one pledges, but participating itself is relevant).
  10. I think the armour in the Lord of the Rings movies has also a good balance of fantastic and practical.
  11. Thinking about it, we only know how deep the endless dungeon probably will be, but not how wide each level will be...
  12. Chris Avellone said that there will be "a 16th century technology level much like our high or late Middle Ages with the exception of the printing press". I am confident that means there will be plate armour and two-handed swords that resemble real world gear, no overly fantastically shaped weaponry.
  13. There was the massive embodiment of Entropy called Coaxmetal, but he was always confined to his siege tower, and didn't particularly resemble the trailer giant, other than by being all massive. At first glance the giant head reminded me of the stone faces in Sigil's undergroung in PS:T. Maybe the giant statue is somehow (in spirit) related to Torment?
  14. For me, I think the most important thing is to support the project. I backed the game with $35.
  15. I don't know. I personally want a dungeon. No communities. Just old-good dungeon. With intricate puzzles, traps and monsters. That's what I expect the Endless Dungeon to be. Interaction with people and societies similar to BG II is what the world outside of the Endless Dungeon is to be about, isn't it?
