How nice it is to wake up and find my little thread undisturbed. Really, it's great to have this little thread all to myself. It's a place where I can come, share my thoughts, be myself, and not be interrupted. Heavenly! A few more thoughts to share in the glorious ménage à un that is this thread. I did have another major quest issued last night, so apparently those are still happening. Nice! I was also able to reload my game and still see the quest listed in the stronghold actions interface. Wee! I was also able to kill the game, shutdown my PC before going to bed, and this morning the quest is still listed. Yipee-ki-yay mother f&*$#@! The major notable difference here and in the previous instance where the quest disappeared prematurely is that currently I'm AT the keep, whereas last time I was inside Raedric's Hold. Not sure what to make of that. I've read that there's some sort of loading bug in that area, but I don't know the particulars. Other than this stronghold weirdness that section of the map was smooth sailing. Anyhow, at this point I'm really just posting for my own edification and benefit. Hopefully everyone will continue to respect this thread being about me, my posts, and I. Thank you.

An interesting post, and I think balanced perspectives. As for armor, I've pretty much decided to keep a nice mix of medium/light/heavy in my party. It's maybe not the most efficient, but since my party is getting by just fine, it's obviously also not hindering me. It just feels much more satisfying to have the variation. -
Patch 1.03 - When?

I'm guessing tomorrow (i.e. Friday April 3rd), assuming no major issues in testing. Why announce a patch right before the weekend, if you don't intend to get it out before the weekend? -
I recently reloaded when I had a major quest in progress at my stronghold. Sagani was sent on the quest. After loading I noticed that the quest was not present in the log. Sagani was found to be in her room and the quest never resolved. Incidentally, I haven't had any quests initiate since that happened, and a rather long amount of in game time has passed. Wondering if quests are now blocked from occurring. I did have an attack on my keep a short time after that, for what it's worth, but that's different than I quest I think.

Sax mods?

I think a little George Michael and Careless Whispers could be appropriate to have playing in one of the levels in Od Nua. It features some really nice sax playing. -
The issue I have with the backer NPCs is that they don't act like... people. You can't talk to them. They make no comments. They just stand their like animated sculptures waiting for their souls to be read by passers by. It feels very unnatural and clunky. I wonder if Obsidian actually had grander plans for these NPCs and had to cut back due to time/budget constraints. Or was this truly their master vision? Am I off topic now? Believe it or not, I'm responding to the original post.

Would it be off topic to talk about controversial limericks that have nothing to do with PoE? Or how about cats? Would it be off topic to discuss cats? Personally, I'm not a big fan. At any rate... about those backer NPCs. They're sort of interesting (this is the real topic of this thread, by the way, in spite of the title that was added by mod later).

Yep, this was your standard, class A PEBCAD! Such a technical problem can be tricky to workaround, but since I'm something of a master with these sorts of issues I managed to work it out. Thanks for the help Noraver. At this point, I can't tell who's more excited, Kana or me? -

Okay, I just reread the strat guide and was coming to that same conclusion. Trying now, and for the record, happy that the problem was apparently my own idiocy! -
Not sure if I'm just missing something obvious, but I'm starting to get worried that I may have hit a bug. I've confronted Maerwald (sp?). I have the "The Master Below" which indicates that I should explore the Endless Paths. Yet, there's a big door, or more aptly, a wall blocking me from getting to the stair case that leads down to level 2. I can see that there is a selectable area on the ground on the far side of the door, but I can't interact with it. I perused the strategy guide and it indicated that I simply needed to ask the Steward about the curse to get past the door. I have done that, but the door appears to be impassable. Sound like a bug, or is this a PEBCAD?

"Three guys in platemail... two wearing mail... hey, that idiot's in a dress! Kill him!" I think you just described at least some of it all on your own! Also, casters tend to be higher threats. I know I target them first... because I "instinctively know" it's a good idea. Why shouldn't the AI do likewise?
