PoE has too much clicking!
In seriousness, if there were party AI, I'm pretty sure I'd have it turned off 90% of the time anyways. Just like I did in IE. So what was the point? Was there supposed to be a point? My apologies, I was not aware of that fact. I will try to keep it in mind during future posts.

You shut your mouth, this is a JOKE THREAD! A JOKE THREAD, YOU HEAR ME? I think he knows this better than anyone. That's why he had to put his mark here. This thread is right up his alley.

PoE has too much clicking!
Seriously, my fingers hurt! Is there a way to play PoE without all the clicking? Click the mouse. Click the keyboard keys. Then back to the mouse or both together! It never ends!! My poor fingers. I don't play games like this because I want to do exercise. I played an awesome game last Sunday in HBO at 6pm eastern called the Throne Game or something. It was fully voiced acted. Fully visualized. And except for a couple of clicks to get it started, it was click free! I could use my hands to eat snacks and admire this dragon queen chick! PoE should be more like the Throne Game!

I didn't get very far with it either. I played a little bit into the first city, decided I wasn't very happy with the builds I had chosen, but never mustered the will to restart. I also thought talking sea shells was a little hokey. I will hopefully go back to it at some point. It does seem like it has a lot of promise.

How do you guys bring yourself to read?
One of the things that bothers me about the voice acting is I lose the descriptive text and is often included, and which is usually more evocative than the audio itself. I actually often go back and read the voice acted lines just so I don't miss those additional descriptions. One's imagination while reading can be so much more immersive than hearing voice actors read a script.

About that expansion....
Sorry to hear that Kanisatha. I can only encourage you to push through the learning curve as the payoff is well worth it. Mouse and keyboard are pretty much part of my DNA at this point, so I can only imagine your frustration. As has been pointed out, pause is your friend. Just hit the big convenient space bar to pause/unpause.

How do you guys bring yourself to read?
/sigh So now it's not just that you don't like reading, but you can't understand the words? Obvious troll is obvious. *shakes head* I guess sometimes being brutally honest catches people off guard. When I used to stream on twitch, I'd always open up the dictionary and look up the meaning of words I didn't know. Based on your logic, if someone looks up a word in a dictionary, that's trolling? LOL wtf. You seem to be intelligent enough that you actually understand English reasonably well. So let's just say that I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you wouldn't need a dictionary to understand the game. If you both dislike reading and don't understand the words, than yeah, definitely picking a different game sound like your best bet.

How do you guys bring yourself to read?
I agree that this may not be the right game for the OP. It seems like this is at least the 4th or 5th time I've seen posts from him struggling with having to read in PoE. If it's causing that much aggravation, maybe the best thing is to simply move onto a game that is fully voice acted. Dragon Age Inquisition might just fit the bill.

Forum edit function too... sensitive?
Time to resurface this post. Hey there Obsidian, any response on this yet?

Petition: Remove time limit for forum post edits
This is somewhat another issue, though related. It would indeed be nice if there was a grace period of a few minutes (5 or 10 would suffice) before that edit timestamp kicked in. Most of the time I edit it's within the first few minutes of posting and it's done to correct some grammar, I would wager this when and why most edits are ever done by most people. Not a biggie, but a quality of life / forum cleanliness thing. I guess I read the OP according to my own proclivities. That said, oh my god, that guy edited his post 30 seconds after submitting. He must have changed or corrected a word or a letter. Our forum must document this momentous occasion for all time, is just a little too rigid for my taste. I asked Obsidian to change this a year or two ago, but they ignored my post. Anyhow, back to the topic at hand I suppose.

I don't understand combat in this game...
One observation is that you could really use another tank. There is a pretty good Paladin companion you can meet in Defiance Bay. I would probably drop Kana for her, since you are already a chanter. Your chanter can either switch to long ranged weapons, or start battle with those, and then maybe switch to melee weapons and run into the fight after the tanks have established themselves there. Remember to pause a lot so you can assess what's going on and make changes. Move your wizard into good positions to get his spells off. Spells like fireball you just need to avoid your own guys, but otherwise don't need to worry about positioning your wizard anywhere special. And remember that the yellow border around those spells won't injure your allies.

About that expansion....
Strange you feel NWN2 was "awesome", but couldn't bring yourself to get through a 10 - 15 minute battle in order to complete the rest of the game. Did you find it too difficult to beat? And as has previously been pointed out, it was really just another battle that happened to occur in waves. I would think even someone who didn't enjoy that battle could persist through it for a few minutes in order to get to the next part of the game. But I guess we've got all types on this crazy spinning ball we call Earth. And of course, if that's how you feel, that's how you feel.

About that expansion....
I think there are enough classes now. I'd like to see that time and energy put towards other things. Other than that, I like the rest of your ideas a lot. I especially like your stronghold ideas. The new class idea was low priority, and the more I think about it the more I would advise against it. Let's get the existing classes fully fleshed out first, with their higher level abilities worked out. A later game can consider adding a new class or two and/or prestige classes/kits.

You thought this game took place on Earth? Hmm.

You might want to set your aim a bit lower their friend. It sounds like you're destined for disappointment with big dreams like this!

About that expansion....
Obsidian won't do that. I submitted an epic item and it was rejected for being too OP. It was also broken into four parts scattered across the game world that you had to take to get forged but they also rejected that as well. This is what Obsidian views as an Epic item from the Kickstarter. Hiro's Mantle Retaliate when hit by a Melee attack + 3 Crush DT + 3 Pierce DT http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Cape Taluntain's staff, which was submitted by Sorcerer's Place is decidedly unepic. It's a normal staff that allows you to cast fireball, with no other mods. Fireball is nice and all, but in reality it's a staff that basically no one is going to want to use. A far cry from the epic item we expected it to be, and drastically nerfed from what the original concept was. I'm at least using Hiro's Mantle in my party right now. Retaliate is pretty good, and DT is always useful. Tal's staff is staying in the inventory of the vendor who is selling it. Definitely not one of the best weapons in the game, or remotely close. Probably one of the most unmemorable weapons in the game, in fact, save for its description.
