  1. As I see it, maybe thats why you need sneak attack conditions for ranged sneak attacks. I'll test it later if there's such a thing as ranged flanking.
  2. I agree. But what about Ranged Rogues? Does Flanked happen even in Ranged? Tank-Enemy--------------------------------Ranged
  3. Aside from the "Stealth" skills, anybody find Withering Strike and Fearsome Strike underwhelming? Don't get me wrong, their debuffs look good on paper. But if you build your Rogue to be a crit monster, you wont even have to use these skills. Anybody has a non-crit monster Rogue build out there who uses these skills?
  4. I wanted to jail Aloth too when he confessed lol. I'd strip him of all his items and create a new mercenary wizard.
  5. So it looks like we're gonna be able to import our character then. I'm thinking the'll create expansions that will reach up to level 15-16. Then a sequel + expansion up to level 30.
  6. It must be the robe. Cut it off and make a damned slit, Durance!
  7. I'm open to this idea, but right now Obsidian is banking on nostalgia. PoE is a brand new IP for them. They made this for people who love Infinity Engine games. What made the Baldur's Gate series more memorable was the continuity of the storyline, character imports included. This is a chance for Obsidian to make a saga which could rival the Baldur's Gate greatness. There's a reason why games like Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment were made. They're basically in the same world/lore Baldur's Gate (Forgotten Realms/Abeir-Toril) but also disconnected to the Bhaalspawn saga. Deviating from the original story of PoE 1 at this very early stage of the IP would create another Dragon Age 2. I really don't mind having a different storyline for thew future PoE games, but like I said, Obsidian needs to create a new epic saga of their own.
  8. *Aloth walks inside Leaden Key's HQ* Aloth: "I'm your new leader." Leaden Key people: "Wut? No. lel!"
  9. I dunno. Aloth has weak personality, imo. Even his other personality was just plain naughty/trickster-ish and not a homicidal maniac. My bet: 1. Another Engwithan 2. Another Watcher (lol Bhaalspawn) 3. An Assassin Avatar sent by Woedica 4. An Adra-based monster 5. Return of Waidwen
  10. An argument could maybe be made for Beregost, but Nashkel? Nuh uh. That's your nostalgia talking. Beregost and Naskhel better than Defiance Bay? Come on. Beregost is 90% filler homes. If that's your fancy, Beregost is the best ****ing city in gaming ever. And Naskhel? Sure, if you're a Volo fanboy. But for the rest of us, those cities aren't even close to be on par with Defiance Bay. That said, Defiance Bay isn't on par with Baldurs Gate or the City of Coin. Of course they werent. I'm just speaking out of disappointment about this so called " two Big Cities" Obsidian promised us. Defiance Bay and Twin Elms were more like large towns compared to Baldur's Gate and Athkatla.
  11. A consmetic option would be nice. Right now my Rogue wears a chainmail Coif (Azalin's Helmet), but I want it to look like a Rogue-y black hood.
  12. For starters we already have the Collectors Book and Almanac. It's a good start. What we need now is the Novella. The upcoming tabletop game would also probably provide more lore.
  13. I killed both because they're boring. For years, there was no victor. Time for new blood and new rivalries.
  14. I agree. Hell, Beregost and Nashkel were much more interesting than the whole Defiance Bay for crying out loud.
  15. So when I finished killing the final boss I checked my personal character record. I'm pretty sure my main character killed the boss. But in the character screen, his name didn't appear in my Most Powerful Enemy Defeated record. I also checked my other NPC if they killed the final boss, but he wasnt listed. According to my record, my main characters most powerful enemy defeated was the Corruptor Druid. Does that mean this enemy is more powerful than the final boss or the 2 giants?
  16. I just find this weird. So I activated my characters Dominion of the Sleepers which grants +2 to all attributes. Then I also used a the Farmer's Spread (+2 Might +1 Speed) consumable. Guess what? My +2 Might from Dominion was suppressed by Farmer's Spread. I don't know. These 2 should be different from each other since one is a skill to be activated (even with a duration) and the other one is a consumable.
  17. That's the thing. I never knew there was a 3rd option until its too late. I mean, when I enter a new map, I usually scout the surrounding area first before I go to the main target. I think it's more of a bad quest design rather than a role-playing issue. Freeing the slave before going to the tower should have a plot barrier of some sort. Hell, when I freed the slaves, Icantha didn't mention anything at all. She should have attacked me. Even better, the door should have been unpickable until you do something with Icantha. Oh well.
  18. I love Endless Nua but there are too many filler dungeons.
  19. I'm kinda little pissed that I missed this Talent from the Undying Heritage quest. I just found out later when I was about to finish the game. Gift From The Machine +1 Might 1.05x Maximum Endurance You get this talent from choosing a 3rd option when dealing with the Engwithian Machine. This third option lets you absorb the souls from the machine when the guy on top of the tower asks you to go to Icantha and get a source of sustenance for him. This "sustenance" is the group of slaves inside Icantha's house. What I did "wrong" in this quest is that when I entered Heritage Hill, I explored the map first before going up the tower. That includes going to Icanthas house and eventually freeing the slaves without me knowing that there's a purpose for that. When I went up the tower, a 3rd option is nowhere to be seen because I already freed the slaves. What the hell?! Just because I explored the surrounding area first, and now I don't get to acquire a Talent? This 3rd option may be a "Cruel/Negative:Defiance Bay" option but I wanted it anyway. Who doesn't want more DPS and hit points? Anybody also missed this talent?
  20. Hmmm. Switching places with an far away enemy mage or archer seems like a good tactic. You bring them closer to the frontlines with your Tank. They might even switch to melee weapons. Do ranged mobs switch to melee weapons when you get close to them? Range is very limited, especially with a low intelligence build. (which any rogue build should be, imo) That sucks. It's more like an aggro drop than a tactical position switch. We already have that with Escape and Shadowing Beyond.
