I SUPPORT THESE CLAIMS FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY. ALSO, I CAN TOTALLY PLAY JORDAN, CHECK IT OUT, I'M AWSOME RAD! DUDe ItS yeAh okay no more caffine, whoa.
-
Except, replace tactical combat with JRPG line up and smack each other awsomeness. But yeah, suprisingly fun, despite being a total knockoff.
-
Actually, yeah, that was a bit harsh of me, some of the music was pretty good, and pretty much all of it fit with the themes. Though there was no Angus Dei or Ladder, which stood out.
-
Oh, a retail recall. Yeah, I couldn't argue with that. New 360s also come with HDMI ports as standard now.

Yes, I am a rabid fanboy, but Homeworld still stands in my estimation as one of the greatest games ever made, despite its shortcomings. The last mission still sits very high on my list of the greatest moments in gaming. <3<3 Angus Dei. The expansion pack 'Cataclysm' by Barking Dog, which completely reinterprited the gameplay in a positive way was also a stroke of genius in what was otherwise a pretty dull time for gaming, generally.Though it was too bad about the lack of good music in this ittiration. Homeworld 2 was actually a real letdown due to it's insistance on 'RTSing' the combat and it's completely schitzophenic narrative. A pity, considering how strong the narrative was from the first game and its addon.

I never got as far as the demo, hearing of the lack of a coop campain. Becides, as you say, Terradynes > tanks. It's a bit like Homeworld though, where the sequal was real bastard child as compared to the original.

Yeah, the population is decreasing by about a million every year, at its current rate. Economically it will do nothing to help the already belegered Japan, but as it is, the countary has to import 90% of its food, as compared to the 1950s when it was completely self sufficent, it's population about half what it is currently. Traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto on the Bullet Train was a weird experience as the whole trip was past one long town between the two cities, broken up by the occasional hill or river.

Yeah, i'd likely do the same if I had a real TV, that much porn and a handcream that didn't make my peepee burn.

Nice thing is that most of the missions are actually *designed* for coop, with your attention needed on multiple fronts at the same time. Which can, yeah, make them pretty annoying in single player. Too bad their next game, Conflict (which seems to be very much based on GC2) is completely lacking a coop campain.

Oh, the MotB stuff is by the Deus Ex guy? That's pretty cool, Deus Ex had some great tracks. Props to him.
-
Eh, mines been fine, a recall would be more annoying than it would be a benefit.
-
No, the question is are YOU up for it. If you've never played it though, try the demo before you buy anything, it's a very different beast from the original game.
-
Both of which are also on Japanese menus. I am very fond of Japan, but they need a reduction in population by about a third and their fishing fleet needs to calm the freak down.
-
Hence the extended 3 year warantee, which is basically the same thing.

http://www.lucasartsbioware.com/ - Kotor MMO probably confirmed :(

I actually share your laments there, but if EA published a game that was worth playing, giving money to EA wouldn't stop me buying it. After all, there's no chance of them going broke any time soon, so encoraging them to make/fund games of actual quality would be in everyones best interests. Likewise, if it wasn't developed internally i'd also be supporting the devs who could then go on to bigger and better things that don't involve EA. Not that I wouldn't still feel a bit dirty any time I booted up the game and saw that logo. -
It's true, Octopii are awsome they can be trained to open Jars for crying out loud. Though they then forget 5 minutes later and have to retrained if you want them to do it again.
-
Atreides is right, see if you can find people who'd be worth living with in coming years. Saves a lot of effort down the line.
-
The Japanese appitite for fish is causing problems the world over.
-
Technically, yes.
-
Oh Ground Control, how I loved thee. I still lament having nobody to play the Ground Control 2 coop campain with.
-
Oh, yeah, the story itself was a pile of Hades, but nice missions.
-
Nexus? I thought they shut down the MP servers because nobody was actually playing it. No, it's got an extensive and satisfying campain, and while Llyranor and I played the MP demo to death, I only ever played the Singleplayer in the full game and easily felt like I got my money's worth. It's the lengh and quality that you'd expect from a full game.

Which, as Krookie pointed out, is excessive unless you're going to download HD movies.
-
All new 360s have that now.

On the simplest level, it's a Navel simulator in space. You control between 1 and 8 ships in a strategy view, but each ship in itself itself is a living entity, with various hardpoints for weapons, engines, generators and sheilds that can be customised to your will. For example, pile lasers on a pair of frigates and have them target subsystems, disabling engines or destroying weapons so that your cruisers have an easier time pumbling the hull. Ships can carry fighters, various sensor arrays and backup engines for emergancies, and part of your job tends to be balancing subsystems so that power goes where it's needed. For example, sheilds taking a beating? Disable sensors so as to divert more power to keeping them online. Different weapons can be fired at different ships at the same time or disabled when they wouldn't be appropreate (for example, anti-sheild weapons when attacking a hull). So far so startrek, but there are two other things to note about this game. 1) it's a lot of fun, and while it requires intelligence and mircromanagement, and a willingness to get your butt kicked learning the ropes, you can play the game without feeling like a complete dork because: 2) it's beautiful. gameplay videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46G7-9BdNmM There's also a rather brutal demo around somewhere.
