  1. Did someone say coop?
  2. Yeah, I was talking to you. Before getting a 360 (which took a lot of persuasion) I was pretty much in the same camp as you, it was really using the controler (playing Lost Planet) which sold me. As you say, compared to the controlers i'm used to (sorry, but the Duelshock is horrible) it is very usable. The convenience really can't be understated though, given the intigrated friendslist, voice communication and matchmaking, it's hard to go back to online PC gaming just because of the pre-setup and coordination required. Again, this really isn't somthing I appresiated before I got a 360, even if it makes me 'lazy'. Guesting is where you can put more than one player from a console into an online game. EG, in Halo, you can actually have 4 players in an online game playing off the same console. It would be an instant seller for the 360 version of Dead Rising for myself and Llyranor because we have people constantly around who'd want to join in. If you don't have any friends it's irrelivent though.
  3. Jagged Alliance 2, Silent Storm and Xcom show how that kind of Combat should be done. Fallouts take on it was pretty crappy to my estimation.
  4. Gears 2 has 5 player 'last stand' with guesting. All I needed to hear.
  5. WHY DON'T I HAVE ANY LEGS?!
  6. Lly and I are getting it for 360, and I guess a couple of the other morons are too. I understand your sceptesism of this, but it's hard to really understand why until you've actually experienced it for yourself. The coordination and convenience easily outweighs the learning curve for the controler where we're concirned, and that's even eithout guesting. Also, if Orange Box is anything to go by, a Left4Dead PS3 port is risky, since Valve arn't doing it themselves (last I heard). EDIT: The idiot squad cares not for Bad Company.
  7. Thing is then, purely on gameplay, it isn't a fallout game, any more than Halo Wars is a Halo game (for example). But if it manages to actually capture the atmosphere of the original games (which is possible), as well as the roleplaying elements (which is not) then it is a worthy fallout game, so I get what you are saying. Problem is that even if it's IN NAME ONLY! It's still got that name, and Beth are going to keep on trying to push their innane conversation minigames on it. Which is a pity since, ultimately, the RP/talking elements were one of the things that made Fallout good (combat? graphics? music? hahahahahah).
  8. That really depends on what you define as 'Fallout' then.
  9. http://kotaku.com/5025214/mirrors-edge-e3-demonstration Looking nice Real nice.

  11. Hey, that gameplay actually looks pretty nice. fanboy bitching in 3...2.... OOOPZ, I SAID BITCH, I MUST BE TROLLING!
  12. 'There is no point for Final Fantasy 13 to be on the Xbox 360. Final Fantasy 13 should only be on the PS3. End of story!' I didn't know Volo cared.
  13. They've got Sacrifice, Giants, Freespace 2 and Operation Flashpoint up there, so i'm going to take it as red that they know what a good game is.
  14. Over in north London we call it 'Mordor'.
  15. When will they all just learn to get along.
  16. At any rate, cooooooooop makes this game godly.
  17. I'm not sure that netflix even operates in the UK and if this 360 system will be available here either. If it is, it would be tempting. I can't be bothered with the DVDs, but steaming movies to my 360 would be very nice.
  18. Ooops, looks like you're right, i'm out of date. Good stuff. It does look like movie sharing requires everyone in the party to be a nexflix subscriber though. Boo.
  19. What the freaking crap is a Nurple? EDIT: all google is telling me is '"My brother gave me a 'purple nurple' and now there is a bump under my nipple. what is it?"'
  20. This thead is Volowned.
  21. coopcoopcoooooooooop and killing africans! OMG DIS GAME R RACIST!
  22. Which we have!
  23. I disagree, pegging IS cool. Cooler than Wader of Chopper anyway. EDIT: I'm actually getting better results with this http://www.djork.net/castlevania/ Haiku of Overdone Beef? Fortnight of Disappointment? John Cage Concert of ****roaches? Now we're talking.
  24. Early days, but it LOOKS like it's steaming, since you can share movies with members of your party. In case you didn't get that, you can now form parties in the dashboard (6 max) and launch games togeather, or, if one person has access to a film, everyone else can watch it with him from their own consoles.
  25. Sony is going to have to pull some serious crap out to top that.
