  1. https://www.avclub.com/secret-david-lynch-movie-cannes-laura-dern-1848779394 If true, that is a very pleasant surprise.
  2. I left off at the start of the episode where they encounter what I think is a cult. They made the girl cover up. I wanted to check that out but never made the time. After I read JoJolion I'll give it a go.
  3. Gurren Lagann. It reminds me of Kill La Kill in terms of tone and fan service. It's fun enough. I haven't read it in a while, but I do read manga sometimes. Is that the one where a guy who could regenerate got attacked by fire and now burns eternally? If so, I've heard very good things but haven't read it yet.
  4. Yeah, I don't know if I will 100% it to 100% it, but for now I'm having fun playing it. I don't really see the point in grinding away if you're not having a good time.
  5. More Hades. I got the first ending by escaping 10 times and am now doing the family fixing thing. Thinking about doing no heat runs to accumulate stuff and get rid of all the boon hunting prophecies. Favorite weapon has become the sword with cursed slash and Arthur aspect, least is probably the bow with any aspect other than the homing special. Don't have hidden aspects for bow or gauntlets yet though. It's a really fun game to play and relax, it will probably be my go to when I'm craving hack n slash stuff for a while because it doesn't really require too much investment.
  6. That's more than me. On the other hand, most of my taxes go to bombing brown people abroad or buying cops tacticool gear and I'm on my own for retirement and medical. Rockin in the free world.
  7. Back in the days before PoE was released, there was a real life monk who posted on the forums asking to make the game less occult. I'm not sure about the financial prospects of monks or their tax situation, but I imagine it either isn't good or surprisingly decadent depending on which church he monks for. Anyway, I don't know. I live in a place where local taxes are all on sales and property so it's harder to track than just income. Pretty much anytime I buy anything other than groceries there is a 8.5% tax slapped on.
  8. I really liked it. It starts out as sort of cyberpunk/post-apoc but gets more surreal as it goes on. This is a minor spoiler, but her name is pronounced "Real" and is stylized that way based off removing the diagonal lines in an uppercase A.
  9. I owe 2 or 3 gas tanks of tax this year. The benefits of a 5 figure income I guess. I try to limit smart device as much as possible because of this. One time I saw a guy bash a smart printer in with a bat when it made a sound he didn't recognize, more and more I think he had the right idea.
  10. Well I don't want to endorse piracy on a forum where that is against the rules, but....a lot of IP holders really do it to themselves. I'll leave it at that instead of invoking Nintendo's wrath. In a lot of ways NFTs really are the antithesis of memes and I have a suspicion that they were created with the intent of making the internet worse. Yes.
  11. Ok that's good. I hope whatever it is turns out to be cool, or at the very least easy for you to deal with. It's my NFT now.
  12. Oh yeah, small towns in Texas are usually pretty bad. Especially if they're out of the way of the triangle. As long as it's not NFTs.
  13. You go into account settings and it's with changing your email. I look forward to seeing Twirlshot soon.
  14. It's pretty prevalent in most US rural areas, up to the northern border. It's both weird and makes some sense that they'd show up in Canada too. I'm from Texas and haven't seem that many, but Houston is different.
  15. I'd say that doesn't count, but if a user is super ignored do they even exist? It happens, maybe your brain was trying to stop you from feeling sorry for Frank, given that he is a huge piece of ****.
  16. Go for a dozen post. That will break reality as we know it and condemn us to the anti-universe, which at this point is probably better. It would have been much better with significant cuts, but Akio had a magnificent bastard energy that went well with DIO and the green hair guy. But by then it had gone off the rails and I am very fond of that in general. Maybe it left you in a dream? For me, that and the joyride immediately after where
  17. I'll save you from yourself. A quad post is an unforgivable sin, unless it's for comedic effect. A long time ago on a forum far, far away, me and some other fellas spammed a thread with riffs on The Planet of the Apes. The Good, The Bad, and the Planet of the Apes. There's Something About Mary On The Planet of the Apes. Silence of the Lambe on The Planet of the Apes. Oh to be young and dumb(er) again. Re: Utena... I think it got much better in the last part. I don't have anything else to add.
  18. I think I would have liked Utena much more if the Black Rose arc never happened, with the exception of the cow episode. Maybe it's because DIO got depressed and hid in his room, maybe it's because it went into a very repetitive formula at that point, or maybe it was some other thing that subconsciously turned me off. Regardless of why, I think Utena would be much better for me if it didn't have that awful arc. I don't really mind difficult to comprehend, sometimes I think it can be good not to understand something because you'll educate yourself if it was interesting. While I don't have a top list of anything because my taste changes by mood and situation, the Lynch scene I've been thinking about lately is the In Dreams lip synch in Blue Velvet. Between the absurdity of Suave Ben singing into a staging light (which I've read was an accident), the captive audience of Jeffrey and Dorthy (and her husband and child in the backroom as hostages), and Frank Booth's discomfort that leads to him shutting down the tape, it works for me as creating a very malevolent situation while making Frank both more humanized and creepy. It's very chef's kiss for me. The other is the entire 15 minutes of What Did Jack Do?, where David Lynch interrogates a monkey. I forgot where I was going with this. Ok then, I'll probably cautiously check out Princess Tutu after I've watched some other stuff, but something like the Sailor Moon episodes without the charming crazy stuff like Usagi turning into a tennis ball sounds like not my thing.
  19. David Bowie is waiting for you. However weird you think it looks, I promise what is actually going on is stranger. Which I suppose is normal for JoJo. If you set low bars, you will always be happy with the result.
  20. One is blocked. Even if it wasn't.....well I'd probably watch it later. That may be true, but I think it's very true that I'm more likely to seek out weird stuff. I will probably check it out, but I'm not in the mood for magical girls (played straight) right now. Gurren Lagann is probably my next anime watch. That is quite an image. At least I keep my excremental ramblings in single posts. And I hope they are at least more funny than armchair expertise.
  21. I guess those are strange, but you've seen half of them yourself and probably loads more stuff like the German or Austrian comedy music act you linked a while back or the early cgi show. Anyways, **** it. I like strange because it's usually entertaining (and because I am weird). There's just too many lukewarm rehashes all trying to replicate cultural phenomena that fall flat on their ass. In my lifetime (which isn't that long, I say coping) I've seen three separate DARKER, GRITTIER Batman franchises launch. I've seen several sci-fi reboots or ripoffs that just suck, I've seen tons of cookie cutter shonen shows, and now unfortunately I'm seeing a slew of shows aiming at being the next GoT. All of these can go to hell, they're boring and creatively bankrupt **** no one but those hardcore into fandom will remember.
  22. I don't know, what would you consider strange? You've watched all episodes of Star Trek Discovery and I think it's strange that it continues to exist.
  23. Besides the general tilting at "woke" windmills the GOP has been doing to stir up braindead suburbanites? Until recently, Disney was funding these Florida politicians. This is specifically a reaction to Disney taking away money from them.
  24. Well look at it this way, in two years or so you won't have to imagine.
