  1. Peaky ****ing Blinders 6 ep1-3 Somehow I missed this coming out last week. It's in line with the previous seasons, but without Helen McCrory which is a big loss that is felt throughout the show. Still it's good, maybe not **** in the eyeball good like Obi-Wan, but I'm enjoying it well enough. Also Anna Taylor-Joy gets more than she did in s5.
  2. The Boys s3 1-5. It's very strange, the show goes very hard in a lot of ways that I'm surprised it was able to get made. Fecal matter in the eyeballs 7/10 5th best Star Wars
  3. It hit 101 F here today, with the added humidity of being in a swamp making it feel like 110 F. This summer is gonna be HOT.
  4. Sometimes we do, I did and find much of my old views (and self in general) embarrassing. But the repetitive epic doesn't need us to stay the same, it just needs someone to play the same role. That's the beauty or horror of it, depending on your perspective.
  5. I think you may be too optimistic. Frankly, you have people that will support the police regardless of wrongdoing for ideological reasons. Regarding the specific of cops lying, I think that the general public perception of police as being trustworthy and the (perceived) lack of consequences for lying emboldens police to lie more rather than less. Looking at the article you linked, I don't see any mention of discipline for the officers involved and well "paid leave pending investigation" is a meme for a reason.
  6. It's a good rule of thumb to assume cops are lying in general and specifically that the first story they tell is a fabrication to present themselves in the best possible light.
  7. More likely he'll just make you watch a 10 hour long YouTube video about how the Wachowski's RUINED The Matrix by not casting Hugo Weaving in The Matrix Resurrections as punishment. You are......naughty after all
  8. You've applied your media consumption habits to forums, so you continue to engage with asinine takes from not-so-crypto-fascists despite the psychic damage they inflict.
  9. The Deep would like a word.
  10. There's some changes that I think work (like the focus on the VCU instead of comic books) and Stormfront but...
  11. I'm sure the characters involved thought it was too much as well.
  12. I'm pretty sure the end times would be an improvement.
  13. Just a smidgen better. Now we wait to see if it can stand up to Star Trek Discovery. Oh and let's see if even @InsaneCommander is afriad likes Everything Everywhere All At Once.
  14. But it didn't have Nazi wizards, so we can say it really isn't everything. Well if you like it, then I think we can conclude that it is a great movie that appeals to people with varied tastes.
  15. Everything Everywhere All At Once. Legitimately one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's ****ing wild and bounces between genres and tones in a way that should give you whiplash....but somehow it comes together beautifully in a way that just works. I can't really say more because it's spoiler territory and it wouldn't sound real anyways. This is next on my watch list.
  16. Julee Cruise https://www.avclub.com/r-i-p-julee-cruise-obit-1849045079
  17. You naughty Bartimaeus !
