Just my opinion here, but probably because Female to Male is less common than Male to Female on the internet scene. I mean, if you go looking for trans porn, you're going to find almost entirely MtF stuff. If you look for notable individuals, it's also MtF dominated. To be honest, the only FtM I can think of off hand is Chaz Bono and he has quite a bit of time in several spotlights. I'd be interested at looking at the rates of FtM and MtF compared in terms of percentage of population, but I can't find any good studies with my weak googlefu.

With this in mind, is there any reason to remove it beside it offending someone? If that reason is "transmisogyny doesn't fit the setting", then why does rape, religious persecution, racism, and slavery belong while that doesn't?

If Obsidian actually changed it, I'd lose pretty much all respect for them, as I would for any company that caters to insane twitter freakazoids that go out of their way to get offended. I can't disagree, especially if it was removed without consent from the backer who tossed in at least $500 to get it in there. If you're going to promise something to backers, don't renege on that promise.

If you're going to change it, I certainly hope you either write the person who backed it a check for his/her donation back or allow him/her to substitute another original stone of their choice. But don't change it, it's a nice little reference to The Crying Game.

Yes unfortunately I have first hand experience of this, a friend of mine, a reasonable, intelligent and cultured gentleman holds similar quite unreasonable views. Not quite as extreme but his impression is, as you say, that they are not really Muslims. Interesting, as that sounds similar to some Catholics' opinions on Protestants.
