  1. Where do you get it? Ordering is my only option and it seems to be too expensive for my budget. And while I don't care about authenticity either, it is funny to me that the first written recipe for carbonara is from Chicago and uses pancetta and parm. The current iteration seems to be maybe a decade old and you had Italian chefs using cream in the dish during the 80s.
  2. The Apprentice (2024) Wow, this Donald Trump guy is a real ****.
  3. I heard someone call him Lox Luthor once and now it's stuck in my head.
  4. I made Carbonara with pancetta. Internet Italians may try to blow up my house, but it tasted very good.
  5. There's something very funny about blaming a Jewish sounding name (assuming they don't mean the senator from New York and can't spell) for doing a false flag to make them look like nazis. Kinda reminds me of this really pro-Eric Adams article last year that blamed the Gaza protests on George Soros.
  6. You naughty The actual "anti-DEI" agenda has been about removing references to historical figures who aren't white from gubbermint websites, wiping pages that ping the ctrl+f search for naughty words, removing restrictions on segregation/discrimination from federal contractors, firing teh wimminz and the Black guys, removing the T from LGBT on gubbermint websites, and renaming stuff back to Confederate generals. It's obvious to anyone who hasn't fried their brain on credulous centrism what this is all about and the performative nonsense to give the reactionaries a veneer of respectability is pathetic.
  7. Who the hell knows, those people just love being mad about **** and everything seems to trigger them.
  8. Huh, I guess in this case it's more triggered by brown people legitimate concerns about fantasy demographics than no tiddy. Who could have thot?
  9. Hegseth getting bombed before noon and posting battle plans in an open group chat is honestly something that feels unexpected when you type it out.
  10. I tried to play it years ago and spent more time trying it get it to work than actually playing it.
  11. When Trump started repealing the ACA via executive order, you had a non-insignificant amount of people freaking out because they didn't know that was "Obamacare". They of course blamed "the left" for naming it two different things. It's just the voter suppression tactics they've been using for the last few years, require increasing amounts of security in the name of combating fraud while simultaneously closing off avenues to get through said security for the person who doesn't have ample free time and resources.
  12. I would bet every dollar I have that Lutnick would not call a landlord or lender a "fraudster" if they exploded for not getting their monthly rent or loan payment.
  13. Anyone who writes a novel casting their boss as an undead monster has a funny streak. But I do think it's genuinely funny how Eggers broke with the zeitgeist of (modern) vampires to make a historically accurate monster that would be almost unrecognizable as a vampire in contemporary fiction.
  14. I liked Nosfearatu because giving Dracula a mustache is pretty funny
