  1. Oh, it's your mouse-hand that's broken? That sucks even more
  2. They are launching with Goliath (vat-grown bodybuilder foundry workers), Escher (scifi amazon gang with a DNA defect that leaves the men of the bloodline feeble and weak), and Orlocks (pretty vanilla biker gang without bikes). They left out Cawdor (garbage collectors and religious zealots), Van Saar (high tech but wearing suits because of weakened immune system due to constant rad poisoning), and Delaque (bald spies with goggles and trench coats). That would have been the core gangs. The new tabletop version also has: Chaos Helot Cult (average chaos cultists who do rituals in their spare time) Corpse Grinder Cult (workers at the Soylent Green factory turned to Khorne worship and cannibalism) Genestealer Cult Enforcers Venators (bounty hunter templates for people who like to convert miniatures) Ogryn Slaves The original tabletop had (and those will not make it into the new) : Spyrers (rich kids with super advanced alien tech hunting poor people for sports) Ratskins (native Americans wearing giant rat pelts) Scavvies (the poor scavengers living below the bottom of society, and often mutating in the refuse) Ash Waste Nomads living outside the hives were teased for the tabletop game. So were Brat gangs (the original rich kids gangs with hoverbikes in Confrontation and Ian Watson's Space Marine novel)
  3. In other news, Necromunda (read: scifi Mordheim) went up for pre-order for a launch 28. August, then had the date changed to Summer 2020. The news is: @melkathi isn't buying it (at this point in time) as they are launching with just 3 out of the 6 core gangs of the setting, even less than the 4 initial warbands of the Mordheim launch. Game Devs: Because last time we launched Early Access and that gave people an incomplete experience which impacted reviews and sales negatively, we will not do so again. Also Game Devs: We will do a full launch, not Early Access, with perceived less content than our previous Early Access release.
  4. Breaking the Vodyani blockade at Ghykra: Bomber squadron on attack run on Vodyani Ark in the Sirius system: Invading Dursay to force the Lumeris to pull back from the invasion of Hissho space: The Vodyani trying to break through at Rigel: The battle marked the end of Vodyani significance, as they were left with two small colonies hidden in Lumeris space.
  5. There are quite a number of small breweries here in Greece now as well, and apparently they are good.
  6. It should say "slain". Slayed is rapidly gaining popularity, but there are still enough of us around who know that to slay is an irregular verb. You had a quest to slay the monster. You slew the monster. The monster was slain.
  7. OK. So Hurlshot doesn't need to type, is there anyone who can do a good Hurlshot impression and take over for him for a while?
  8. Glad people helped you, Hurly. So many people would drive by.
  9. I have allergies. Can't go out without sneezing. Damn trees. Now that summer starts proper that should get better. Of course, exactly because my sneezing is allergies, it isn't actually dangerous, I guess?
  10. Haven't really watched anything since I finished She-Ra... It was a bit obviously girlish, but when they finally wrap up the romance arc in season 5 and end the show, it all works. Probably the best romance in a cartoon. Made the mistake of trying to catch up with The Flash after. God that show is bad. How did I manage to watch 6 seasons of it? If She-Ra's Catradora romance is well written, Flash's attempt at drama is *shudder* so bad it even overshadows Black Lightning's daughter.
  11. I think she likes likes me.
  12. Civ6 is very Civilizationy. Because of the way resources were distributed - there was hardly any iron on my starting continent - I built my first airport at the same time I trained my first knight. By the time the knight reached the front line to charge Viking crossbowmen, my privateer fleet was being refitted to submarines. I also couldn't get any oil (there was one oil resource on my continent). In the second war against the Vikings I grabbed their port with oil (I felt very US American, even though I was the Roman Merchant Republic at the time). But when I got the oil rig up and running my tech had advanced so far that I didn't need it anymore. Suddenly I needed Uranium. Uranium held by my friends the Japanese (not trading for it), and my "It's Complicated" Egyptians (I swear, the way Cleopatra kept insulting me one turn to praise me the next, she had the hots for me). The Spanish (kept denouncing me since the early middle ages when Gandhi converted the Roman Republic to Hinduism) and Chinese (kept insulting me because I built more wonders) were faster than me in sending settlers to the two unclaimed uranium spots (though the Spanish, still using catapults and pikemen, didn't know what uranium was). The Chinese made peace with the Egyptians and declared war on me alongside my backstabbing friends the French. That blew my uranium trade deal with the Chinese. They were followed by the Egyptians ("What did I do?" "If you loved me you wouldn't need to ask.") and the Spaniards, who really should have known better after their failed attempt to conquer Hong Kong. I grabbed two small Chinese villages (using bomber jets, mech. infantry, machine gunners, and a balloon), which just happened to be their uranium mining operations, while my fleet blockaded Wuhan, where the Chinese army was embarking to return from their war with the Egyptians. Having secured access to all the game's resources I offered the Chinese peace. With the majority of their army a the bottom of the sea, and no more uranium to build their armor, they gladly accepted, sent me the last 10 tourists I needed and gave me cultural victory. Overall, was rather meh, since a lot of the time I was waiting for the AI to move the countless units it had spammed across the world, just so I could click Next Turn once more.
  13. You needed multiple tries to beat bosses in Dungeon Siege 2? (also Dungeon Siege 2 was better than 1 )
  14. If it is so great, why isn't it called Majesty?
  15. Tried Civ6. Bad first impression. Just pressed Start New Game and it threw me right in the middle between 4 city states and three barbarian camps. All were producing units like crazy, so I could hardly move since there'd be a city state warrior unit running after barbarians wherever I wanted to walk. Also there was hardly any spot to build a new city. Meh.
  16. Considering installing Civ6 since it is free on Epic.
  17. Years ago, when the game told me to follow an NPC over there *waves in whatever direction the quest text said* and the NPC ran over that way *points in the opposite direction*
  18. Lotro I never made it out of the tutorial.
  19. Fallout 76 Free To Play Weekend. And somehow I still don't feel interested in playing it.
  20. Release Date for Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars has been set as 28th August.
  21. Just don't play a shaman. They had no idea what to do with that class.
  22. There may be a hint hidden in Chimera Squad about XCOM 3 being planned for 2022.
  23. Returns is the Kickstarter that made a nice sum, but which got mismanaged (changing engine halfway through development costs money apparently) and underdelivered on promises made. The story was refreshingly nice though. Dragonfall fleshed out the gameplay and still has a good story. No opinion on Hong Kong - got bored and gave up on it early on.
  24. It is a bad day to be an enemy of Keyrock.
