  1. On Instagram I started counting how many "sponsored" posts show up for every post of a person I follow. It is about 12 - 1.
  2. So to recap the Gamepass discussion: PC gamers get paid $11.99 a month, an increase of $2, to play Bethesda games unmodded? At the same time console gamers get paid $14.99 or $19.99 if they play the games unmodded at launch?
  3. Finished Necromunda: Hired Gun. The game is a fun fast paced shooter I guess (it isn't my genre, so I do not know what the criteria are). They put in a lot of effort to craft the maps. The voice acting exists. I found some npcs to not talk loud enough. The story also exists. I am not sure it should. It requires the audience to care about a very specific Necromunda character and to have read the novels and comics. Even then, it still is pointless.
  4. I gave up on Troubleshooter two missions before the end of the second DLC. The difficulty in later content just ramped up too much, requiring delving into mechanics a lot more to counter all the defenses of various enemies with very specific builds. It just is too much hassle and the story has dragged on longer than necessary anyway.
  5. Quiz: Can you guess who finds things to do other than the work they are supposed to do? (Answer at the end of post) The thing I like best about Necromunda: Hired Gun, other than that AA charm that AAA for all their production value so often fail to have, is a tiny detail: When sentries first spot you, in many games they will go through variations of "Who's there?" "I think I heard something..." "Is somebody there?" "What are you doing here?" "You are not supposed to be here!" "Intruder!" In Necromunda: Hired Gun it is "He's here!" or "She's here!" Showing that they know who you are and know that you were the imminent threat to them. It is a tiny line, but it does more to tie my character into the mission fighting generic mooks than most games with fancy writers. Quiz Answer: melkathi
  6. *grumble* If I were a dev, I'd make cooperative achievements that the community unlocks together...
  7. Necromunda: Hired Gun has an achievement to kill 100 enemies while wallrunning. I don't think I have killed any enemies while wallrunning at all...
  8. Watched that Shogun season 1. Found it rather meh because they couldn't get me to care even remotely about any of the male characters, most of all the protagonist.
  9. And yet, his voters do love him. And if he were to totally copy Kim, there'd be a lot less US meddling in the rest of the world. He'd be far more suitable for a Noble Peace Prize than Obama ever was.
  10. All Walls Must Fall is now free. Steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/628290/All_Walls_Must_Fall__A_TechNoir_Tactics_Game/
  11. If anything, it demonstrates another extremely flawed system. Happy Corbyn did well. Not surprised but still disappointed Galloway didn't. Congratulations to Ayoub Khan who won in my old neighbourhood.
  12. Calling Lexx a spam bot was uncalled for.
  13. Had a guy for a while in the neighbourhood who would calculate how many men and how many women needed to die for the second coming.
  14. Mind, if every Tory got dragged to hell, Starmer would probably also get dragged along. That man is not Labour.
  15. Remember the era when they would fill out all the fields in their profile and you'd recognise a spam bot by the fact they had three hobbies listed?
  16. Which story realm? Usually people have trouble with Grexolis from the base game. The archon orc beating them into a pulp. I found this mission hard the first try, as the Age of Wonders series usually favours aggressive play styles. Grexolis on the other hand I found it best to hang back and let other wizards draw the attention of eachother. Your AI allies can take a beating for a while. Then you help them against the other faction, and eventually you'll power through the orc.
  17. Nothing. My cat figured out the power button.
  18. Made some progress in Necromunda: Hired Gun. Didn't listen to people's advise to avoid an area where people disappear. Ran into a Genestealer nest. Kal Jericho and I agreed we'll continue our search in the opposite direction. Nice that neither the player character nor anyone they talk to know what a genestealer is, so your character just talks about monsters and then gets drunk to forget them.
  19. And to combine the subjects discussed here: Maybe we should let kobolds write the children's books. That way they don't steal dev jobs in IT, and we get less violent, more age appropriate children's books (possible about invisible tiny red haired troublemakers (Hurrah, hurrah)).
  20. As if life wasn't bad enough, now we get Alanis Morissette Lyrics in the video game news
