  1. Bound By Flame launch trailer: I'm happy to see they've continued the tradition of hilariously bad voice overs. I'll be interested to hear impressions of this game if anyone here winds up getting it.
  2. The initial release will only be part of the continent, then they will add more later.
  3. I do that a lot, it's a great way to keep from having to face many powerful foes at once. Another thing I did when I played my balanced group (couldn't do it with my all-might group), is in the few situations where I'd be attacked from multiple sides (I do my best to avoid those situations, but sometimes you can't avoid it), I'd poison one group with one of the poison spells then concentrate on the other group while the poison slowly killed that group off, or at least weakened them so much so that when I did get around to attacking them they were near death.
  4. Wow, you got to The Crag at lev 14, props. I got there around lev 20 my first playthrough and lev 18 or 19 my second. There are about a half dozen or so mysterious crypts out there. Sections of the Elemental Forge have puzzles too.
  5. More American Truck Simulator screenies: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/05/06/road-to-joy-american-truck-simulator-images/ I'm so getting this when it comes out.
  6. Don't forget that the Xbone is also going to add all types of horsepower from The Cloud.
  7. 88 dollars for a game? are they nuts? It's even worse than that, they're Australian.
  8. Piranha Bytes' world building skills are far superior to Bethesda's, they just have a far smaller budget to work with. In other news, I just realized that we're only 2 days away from Tesla Effect. Oh boy oh boy oh boy, my favorite perpertually down on his luck, wisecracking gumshoe is almost back! I'm going to see if I can finish up Child of Light by then, though part of me wants to play some Pandora Directive to get me in a Tex mood.
  9. They should have gone with Unzoidberged.
  10. Playing more Child of Light. Backtracking to previous areas for various purposes I'm continually amazed just how many hidden paths and areas I'd missed on my first run through the area, and I'm someone who usually takes care to explore every nook and cranny.
  11. QTEs are fine when they're reserved for non essential mini-games or when they are used to enhance actions, rather than as a live or die mechanic. The Last Remnant, for example, uses QTEs about as well as any game I've ever seen use QTEs. Torture Porn Raider's use of QTEs falls into the category of adding nothing but frustration to the gaming experience. It's as if the devs thought to themselves "We have these cool, yet uncomfortable cinematics, how can we inject a healthy dose of frustration into this?"
  12. Personally, I'm excited. I love me some 2D platformers. Besides, there's already a 3D Prince of Persia series being actively developed by Ubisoft, it's called Assassin's Creed.
  13. Round 2 is set (my projected series winners in bold): Heat/Nets Pacers/Wizards Spurs/Blazers Thunder/Clippers
  14. Crazy finish in Toronto. The Raptors almost pulled off the miracle comeback. Almost.
  15. The combat in the Elder Scrolls games has always been dreadful and it really hasn't improved one bit. The allure of the Elder Scrolls games has always been exploring and dicking around, the combat is just the crap you have to deal with from time to time that gets in the way of the exploring and dicking around.
  16. My picks for today: Brooklyn San Antonio
  17. I'm never right so for this special occasion I've quoted myself as a congratulations to myself I picked one wrong tonight, thus my Keyrockstrodamus streak is over. I now dub you Sandstrodamus.
  18. I, personally, believe that any of the western conference playoff teams would have beaten any of the eastern conference teams, other than Miami, in a series. I believe Washington is the second best team in the east and every single one of the western conference playoff teams, including the eliminated ones, are better than Washington.
  19. There are no easy wins in the west. The west is stacked and had 7 of the 8 best teams in the league entering the playoffs.
  20. Well, Memphis came out on fire in the 1st quarter, but once OKC made an adjustment in the 2nd quarter and figured out the spacing of Memphis' smaller lineup, they flat out blew the doors off the Grizz and ran them out of the building. Both Mr. Unreliable KD and Russel Westbrook were sensational. I've also been enjoying the emergence of Steven Adams. He's very raw as far as skills go, but he's got tons of natural talent and athleticism. He's got potential to be a top 5 center in the league eventually.
  21. Have you gotten the gravity gun yet? The gravity gun is the epitome of good times.
  22. I went on a 2 hour long bike ride, including a trek up Avon Mountain, which is a roughly 3, maybe 3.5 mile long climb at a 10% gradient. I took some pictures while up there.
  23. Sure, the Dubs most definitely have a chance. All it would take, as you wrote, is for Steph Curry to have one of theose nights where he goes 8 for 10 from deep and drops 40 on the Clips. That could absolutely happen.
