Splitting time between Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Mario Kart 8. Getting 3 stars on all the cups on 150cc is going to take some work. I haven't managed to get more than 1 star yet on 150cc, granted I've only taken 3 cracks at it so far. Flower Cup will be the hardest, I think, as it contains my worst track, Shy Guy Falls. I should run that track 10 or 15 times in time trial mode to get more comfortable with it.

Some people may just WAV their hand and dismiss the events in MP3. Others give the developers FLAC for the whole thing.

Will someone create a World Cup thread, already?

Netherlands done in by their nemesis, the penalty shootout. Argentina wins the privilege of losing to Germany. The Dutch will have to settle for beating Brazil. -

Here is my highly technical assessment of the 90 minutes that were just played: Argentina should take Messi off and substitute in Robo Messi from the Samsung Galaxy S adverts. -
So, remember when during the Sony press conference at E3 they announced a remastered Grim Fandango for Sony platforms? Well, Double Fine have now announced that it will be coming home to the Master Race (PC/Mac/Linux) also, simultaneously with the Playstation versions. Rejoice!

I disagree. They were quite short, which is disappointing, but I thought the Sleeping Dogs DLCs were quite fun.

In Taiwan they do baseball better than u... at least the ceremonial first pitches. At first I was mildly creeped out by how pencil thin she is, then the ill-fitting bikini won me over. -

I hope the Polish National Team can get its **** together. Their last couple forays into the grand tourneys were flat out embarrassing, and they didn't even make the World Cup this time, granted Poland drew a brutal qualifying group. I know the talent is there, they need to find an identity. In other news, Pokemon helps make sense of yesterday's World Cup match: -
This game would like to have a word with you Dragon's Lair straight up broke the Frustration-o-meter. As for what I'm playing, more Monster Hunter 3. Giant monster battles are tons of fun. In a weird way, seeing the monster flee to a different location on the map and having to chase it down add to the feeling of accomplishment when you finally take it down. There is definite satisfaction and anticipation when it starts limping and stumbling and you know you're getting close. It's always a good sign when a game an make a 15 minute long battle fun, rather than tedious.

7-0. This is Brazil's worst defeat ever. Just an absolute demolition.

Excitement level rising. Rising. -
I got my copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate today. Oddly enough it's a game about hunting monsters. It definitely shows its age. The game was spiffied up a bit for the Wii U, but there's only so much they could were willing to do with the aging framework. There are some pretty rather angular character models and some shocking low res textures in the game. Still, it's been pretty fun so far. I'm just starting to get the hang of it, but I can see why this series is digital crack in Japan. So far I'm gravitating toward hammers as my favorite weapons. I'm not a big fan of preposterously gigantic weapons, and hammers certainly fit the bill here, but it's a Japanese game and the Japanese love their preposterously gigantic weapons, so what can you do?

Did he pay for Chiellini's rabies shot as a gesture of goodwill, or something?

I'm playing Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U and X3: Albion Prelude on the PC. I started a new game of X3 as a Humble Merchant, which starts you off with a Mercury freighter and a Discoverer scout and enough cash for 3 cups of coffee. I stashed the Discoverer at a trading station and made trade runs using the Mercury funneling profits back into the ship to upgrade the engines, steering, cargo capacity, and add extensions, mainly trading software. The Mercury is a decent starter freighter. It is quite fast for a freighter, but the cargo capacity leaves something to be desired. Eventually I made enough cash to build my first station. I built a flower farm in Blue Profit. I couldn't believe there wasn't one there already. That sector has solar power plants and a sun oil refinery, giving me both suppliers of resources I need (energy cells) and a customer for my product (sunrise flowers) right in the same sector. The nearest other flower farms are 2 sectors away, not really far, but why go there when there's my flower farm right here now. Sure enough, shortly after I got my flower far up and running 2 more sun oil refineries opened up in that same sector. It makes sense since my flower farm is right there and a whole bunch of production facilities that will buy their product (nostrop oil) are just 1 sector away. I think I'm going to build enother flower farm just as soon as I have enough money to do so as my one farm is not enough to keep up with the demand in that sector. In fact, that whole cluster of Teladi sectors has a surplus of sun oil refineries and a lack of flower farms, so there's plenty more profit to be made growing and selling sunrise flowers. In the meantime, I also bought a new freighter, a Teladi Vulture Haulter. It's a pretty slow ship, but it has a ton of cargo space. More cargo space = more profit potential. I assigned my Mercury to my flower farm to keep it supplied with energy cells and to sell off sunrise flowers as needed automatically while I seek profit elsewhere. A few more stations and a few more freighters and the profits will really come rolling in. In the Mario Kart world I finished getting 3 stars on all the 50cc cups and have almost 3 starred all 100cc cups, just 2 more to go. Then onward to 150cc and time trials, and more multiplayer mayhem.

The combat looks about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Might & Magic X Teased by Ubisoft, To Be Revealed at PAX East
Keyrock replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
It has yet to set my cat on fire. In all seriousness, I haven't had a problem with it, granted I don't exactly have a ton of Uplay games. The only hiccup I experienced was the infamous Great Watch_Dogs Uplay Outage of 2014 that, judging by the outrage it created, claimed millions of lives and was the worst thing since Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin all rolled into one. It didn't really bother me since I already had the game downloaded and I just played it in offline mode. No problems other than that, including no problems whatsoever with Might & Magic X. As always, your mileage may vary. Edit: You only need to be online for the initial activation, after that you can play Might & Magic X in Uplay offline mode, which is essentially like Steam offline mode.. -
I was rather surprised at how well Argentina played defense in the earlier game. It wasn't the most exciting match, but they stayed extremely disciplined. Belgium had basically no chances the entire match.

Van Persie looked very ordinary today. Sneijder, on the other hand, hit a couple cracking strikes and was denied by metal both times. In the end, the right team won. Hats off to Costa Rica for their run, but Holland was clearly superior.
