  1. I started up Sunless Skies. I'm playing on Legacy Mode (which is the same rogue lite system as Sunless Sea) and with all the default difficulty options. Loving the game so far. The first thing I noticed is how much better the combat is. It's still not anything to write home about, but it's definitely much more engaging than that of Sunless Sea. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to stay loyal to the crown or engage in a bit of rebellion. Ultimately, I'll probably go through several captains before I get to endgame stuff.
  2. Am I hallucinating or did the Knicks really just salary dump their franchise center?
  3. The real reason Judas sold our Lord and Savior out is because he was jealous that he couldn't pop & lock like the son of God.
  4. No. I would classify the series as a rogue lite, narrative, choose your own adventure, survival RPG. It's about managing your resources and crew's terror level while you explore a randomly generated map. The games are very text heavy, but it's some really well written text and takes place in the Fallen London universe, which may be the most genuinely fascinating new settings I've seen in vidya games in the last decade or so.
  5. Sunless Skies. I'm downloading it now on my lunch break but I won't get to play it until I shut down for the night later today.
  6. Sunless Skies is just hours away from release.
  7. Now you've done it. You sent me down the Japanese ad rabbit hole
  8. Like some others have written, I'll also likely wait a year to pick up Metro Exodus. Not because of any loyalty to Valve, but because Epic have publicly stated that they currently have no plans for a Linux version of the Epic Store. So, assuming a Linux version of Metro Exodus comes out (the 2 previous games have Linux ports) I can only conclude that it won't be on the Epic Store.
  9. How are the pocket circuit races treating you? It was hands down my favorite mini game with some of the funniest sub-stories in the entire game.Pocket circuit is amazingly addictive. It's my second favorite mini-game after dance club.
  10. Just the AAA stuff. Sunless Skies is going to rule hard. Does it have cannibalism? The probability is relatively high.
  11. On a Stoic-o-meter that went up to 10 Kazuma Kiryu would rate 958362829475720.

  13. Isn't Cliffy B making a Broadway show now or something?
  14. Libertarians have come the closest with Johnson getting 3% of the popular vote in 2016, if I remember correctly. I'm all for another independent party popping up and giving it a whirl, but I have doubts any newly formed party, even one spearheaded by a well known moderate democrat (those do still exist, right?) or moderate republican (ditto) could gather enough support quickly enough to threaten the 5% mark by 2020. Still, I wouldn't mind it being attempted. Did you have anyone in particular in mind? Socialist grandpa perhaps? Amy Klobuchar? John Kasich?
  15. Another round of Trump vs Hillary would be the most likely scenario where a 3rd party reaches the magical 5% threshold which would get them officially recognized nationwide. I mean, good luck finding 2 more loathsome candidates. Of course, even if it does go down like that it will still be an uphill struggle for the Libertarians or Green Party (or any other independent, for that matter) to overcome the You're Throwing Away Your Vote fallacy.
  16. There's no guarantee that adding more parties to the mix would help matters at all, but I'd like to see it given a chance since I'm 100% sure that the current 2 party system is broken (for the general populace, it works wonderfully for the politicians in said 2 parties).
  17. it's going to be HILARIOUS when the Dems run Hillary again in 2020. They'll just screw over whoever would have been the nominee they way they did Bernie in 2016. Anyway, I'm done with the 2 traditional parties. They're crooks, criminals, hypocrites, and liars; Trump, Pelosi, all of them. Occasionally you will get a young upstart who makes waves and gets into the house or the senate with a good heart and good intentions, but they inevitably either get chewed up and spit out or they get corrupted as they sell more and more of their values to either maintain their seat or try to move up. I don't particularly care what nominees the 2 criminal organizations put forth. And let's make no bones about this, that is what the democratic and republican parties are, they are criminal organizations. It doesn't matter who is nominated and who is elected, they all get their palms greased by the same ****ing lobbyists. Anyway, who is in the running for the libertarians? Are we still looking at Kokesh, Weld, and Vohra?
  18. Why would you need, or even want, for that matter, a 4k screen on a laptop? You are getting extremely diminishing returns when you push pixel density that high for an exorbitant price increase.
  19. You may be cool, but you will never be 76 year old granny with a sword room cool.
  20. People are looking at this all wrong. EA is courageously sending reviewers a hamstrung version of the game in an effort to stem overhyping, so that players can experience a pleasant surprise when they get the game. On release, players will get the superior version of the game where they will get to experience the full sense pride and accomplishment that comes with excessive grinding.
  21. The insane hysteria and outrage from the radical far left and people who have just plain lost their minds over this was both hilarious and really really really sad. All things considered, MAGA hat kid handled the situation amazingly well. The old native dude got up in his face, and I mean right up in his face, and was beating his drum. All the kid did was smile at him. People were crying out to have this kid doxxed and to publicly shame him forever. For what?
