  1. I hope you heal up quick, Azdeus.
  2. I went on their website and found this picture of the dev team: The woman in the red dress is DEFINITELY an agent.
  3. 6 is more entertaining than 5, but in a holy **** I can't stop laughing at how utterly terrible this game is way. 7 is the TRIUMPHANT return to the series' survival horror roots. I'm still amazed Capcom put out a game as great as Resi 7 after how mediocre 5 was and how much of a disaster 6 was. I thought 6 was the final nail in the coffin.
  4. Don't forget we got the really excellent Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun a couple years back.
  5. I finally got a new locomotive, a Pellinore-class Trader. I named it "Rocinante". I chose this locomotive because of the larger cargo hold and extra utility upgrade slot, which will allow me to keep my cargo hold expansion and add either a mining drill or butchering scoop (I haven't decided which to get yet, though I'm leaning toward the mining drill). As an added bonus, this locomotive has more armor than the crappy starter.
  6. Has congress passed a budget for the building of said fence?
  7. It may have rattled PUBG a bit, but it didn't even remotely approach Fortnite. There's room for a #3 out there to make some money, but 98% of the battle royale games releasing these days are going to straight up fail. COD brings a polished product but I wonder if the release cycle will work against it, since they put out a new COD every year or so and mostly everyone abandons the last one and moves on to the next, I'm not sure if BR players will want to buy a whole new game every 12 months or so to keep playing.
  8. Central Texas dry rub BBQ is my personal favorite style of BBQ. I'm all about that brisket. No sauce necessary.
  9. That looks very Quest For Glory. How is it?
  10. It's one of my favorite hilarious yet tragic video game tropes, publishers attempting to jump on a fad 2 years too late. Everybody is falling over themselves trying to get that battle royale money, but it's too late, Fortnite and PUBG are firmly established as #1 and #2 and there's no changing that. It happens with every genre that becomes wildly popular. You get a #1 and a #2 that rake in money hand over fist and everybody else fights for the crumbs left over, leaving a giant pile of failed games in their wake.
  11. There are a few exceptions, obviously, but OVERWHELMINGLY I'm far more interested in indie and AA titles than AAA titles these days. I fully agree that waiting for a sale is the smart way to buy AAA titles. The one exception to that rule is Nintendo 1st party titles, since those pretty much never go on sale.
  12. Oh thank goodness, somebody FINALLY made a battle royale game.
  13. I fell asleep during the first half. Was the second half any less boring?
  14. So uh, what is this? From what I've read it's a political intrigue thriller that takes place over the span of 4 hours in a single building in real time with events happening with or without your involvement. I just realized it comes out on March 5th not February 5th. I guess it got pushed back a month. Doh!
  15. We interrupt this video game client/store flame war to bring you this game that comes out on Tuesday: Now back to your regularly scheduled flame war.
  16. I'm making some headway in Sunless Skies. My current captain, Administrator Ulrich, is up to level 6. I've done several steps of the Incautious Driver's story, I've gotten hold and armor upgrades for my locomotive, as well as a pair of stronger cannons that I looted from destroyed marauders and star-maddened explorers, and I'm getting close to having enough money to purchase a new locomotive (I could afford one now, but it's not one I want). I need to be careful not to get too ****y and throw most of it away with a foolish death (you do keep some progress in Legacy Mode).
  17. Also, the art style is so freakin' good.
  18. The weirdest part of that video isn't the physics glitches, it's the fact that 2 male wrestlers from completely different eras are wrestling for a Japanese women's promotion.
  19. Well, I'm on my 3rd captain now in Sunless Skies. I keep getting a little too adventurous and exploring too far out and paying the penalty (death) for it. I should probably play it a little more safe and stay closer to New Winchester until I get the funds to buy a better locomotive than the super garbage starter. Still, where's the fun in playing it safe? The game keeps asking me if I want to adjust (lower) difficulty after every death. Screw that. I don't drink decaf Sunless Skies, it's full bodies dark roast all the way. Edit: Oh man, I almost just had to start a 4th captain. I got a bit greedy (again). I was out there exploring, I had several port reports to turn in, some nice goodies in my hold, everything was going well except my hull was a bit beat up. I ran into a marauder and decided to engage. I took the marauder down but sustained a bit more damage. At this point another marauder showed up, then another and I was almost dead, but I refused to give up my spoils and turned around, going back toward the marauders, to plunder the remains of the marauder I just destroyed. Instead of salvaging for repairs I plundered the hold because I got even more greedy, then I made a break for it with marauders all over me. Then another, bigger marauder joined the fray and I was sure my greed had gotten the best of me, but somehow I managed to get out of that deathtrap with 1 freakin' hp left and I limped it home to New Winchester, heart pounding the whole way. I made enough money to be able to afford an upgrade to my locomotive. I though about armor to make me more survivable, but I instead bought a cargo hold expansion, because I'm greedy like that.
