Sometimes when I'm driving on the interstate I'll pass by a sign something like the following: "Drunk Driving Safety Corridor. Next 15 miles ABSOLUTELY NO TOLERANCE." I think to myself "Shouldn't everywhere be zero tolerance?

Still going ham on DQXI. Right now I'm grinding a bit, not for XP, I'm already a bit overlevelled for where I'm at in the game, but for gold so that I can buy the cat suit and the bunny suit. Don't judge me.

After having played through Yakuza 0, I now have a craving for takoyaki. Definitely not something I'll find in a truck stop, so I'll have to wait until I get home from the road to scratch that itch.

I love that Dragon Quest has continued to keep the Puff-Puff gag going for decades. That gag didn't even originate in DQ, it originated in Dragon Ball, the original Dragon Ball (read: the good Dragon Ball), which was by the same artist that does DQ.
Epic Store is at the center of the opioid crisis and it causes more autism than vaccines.
If it does come to pass it will be another game I wait a year after release to purchase. Honestly, with the exception of competitive multiplayer games, waiting a year to purchase is a healthy habit for my wallet with no real downside.
Dammit, majestic, now you done gone and made me go down a rabbit hole to find the cheesiest old skool electropop banger. This is my current frontrunner: I remember hearing this back in the late 90s while waiting in line to get a sandwich at Subway and thinking " WTF!? Who would play Paul Lekakis in a business establishment... Or any establishment, for that matter?"

I've been going ham on DQXI. I absolutely love it so far. You can always count on DQ to be positively overflowing with charm. I will also never get tired of the corny pun names for most of the enemies and some characters. The thing I've always loved about DQ is that it's a game that's charming, whimsical, and most of the time downright silly. It's basically specifically designed to be accessible and appeal to children. Yet there is enough depth and meat there that it also very much appeals to adults. It's a series for everybody by nature (rather than by focus group).
I initially read that as "Jerry Garcia". After I realized my mistake your story got 60% less interesting.
Damn, that sucks. Will the insurance company or the shop the car was parked at cover the damages?

^ At this point, the thread has already been thoroughly derailed. Admittedly, I had a part in said derailing. Not sorry. Anyway, I started up Dragon Quest XI. Very early going, so not much to talk about story wise yet, apart from it seemingly being your bog standard You Are the Chosen One fare. Combat is the same as combat has been since the first Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) in 1986, which is to say turn-based, menu driven combat. They're not reinventing the wheel here, if you want that out of a long running Squeenix jRPG go play Final Fantasy. What I can comment on immediately is the art style, and how much I enjoy it. DQ has long had a very distinct anime style, and it has long been among my favorite anime styles. The game looks great.

Y'all are posting pictures of women with assault rifles. SIE has a LMG, which is at least 30% more badass. IMHO the gun badassery chart goes like this: LMG > Revolver > Shotgun > Assault Rifle > Hunting Rifle > SMG > Pistol
I finished Yakuza 0. Phenomenal game. I'll play Yakuza Kiwami in the near future, but for now it's Dragon Quest XI time.
