  1. Interesting. Probably means you'll have to get Origin and with EA getting more and more concerned, you'll no longer be able to make your own city, you'll HAVE to play online with multiplayer and you can only zone one building at a time while waiting for others to zone thiers.
  2. Yeah, Vanguards are a beat but play havok on my nerves as I'm constantly switching between 100% and 0% shields. I can only play a few rounds before my nerves are shot.
  3. I suppose an explanation could be that they didn't visit the Citadel and get the entire rundown of each race. Perhaps they didn't even realize what those funny looking vehicles with toy guns even were! Or, since the fleet apparantly was like paper mache to them, perhaps they don't care.
  4. That's only because you don't play PS3 games. There are a couple party/team tactical RPGs, a new one is even coming out this summer (Agarest 2). On the whole ME3 thing and multiplayer, after playing the demo it has nothing on Battlefield...or Modern Warfare for that matter. If someone buys it for MP, I don't think they played the other two. It's only a demo...but the MP get's old quick in ME3's demo, and it doesn't seem to have the same amount of fun as those built strictly for MP. If Bio is thinking MP is going to be a major selling point they must know something I don't. IF that's what they planned this game about...it's going to be a terrible game. I'm still thinking it was a pin on at the last moment after EA announced that all their games would basically be MP from then on out...so the SP portion should still (hopefully) be outstanding. I certainly wouldn't buy ME3 for the MP...ever...after playing the Demo. There are so many games out there that are shooters and have so much better MP it's just a waste of money to buy ME3 for MP.
  5. Several copies of the CE does seem rather wild right from the start. I suppose if you thought you'd need all of them eventually.
  6. I see their story with DLC, but then what about their ad for the CE? Obviuosly this DLC is the CE DLC...are they saying that they advertised something that they might not be able to fulfill because they hadn't even worked on it yet? Or am I missing something there?
  7. Sound plan with one problem, I don't believe they ever released a bundle edition of ME2, unless you count the PS3 version. Something I wish they would have done. I would have been happy if they had released a version of ME2 with everything, and wonder why they didn't.
  8. Hmm, I think it may become sort of a cult type classic...and there are definately some things I don't like, but Nier could be one that would be a cult classic. I think the Marvel Ultimate alliance games have a gathering.
  9. I tend to prefer the shotgun and Assault rifle in MP. I tried the Sniper Rifle at first but since everything comes from all sides, wasn't as effective as other methods. The asari is an interesting character, I think races get specific abilities over other races for classes as the Asari has skills the humans don't.
  10. ............... Hey, even in the Demo, which is free, and open to everyone at this point, occasionally it's a little slower with the MP. Most times I've had it where I join up and the match starts almost immediately, but there have been times when it's gotten pretty long waiting. If those periods are hitting during the demo when it's free to everyone without having to buy a game...I'm not that optimistic about how it's going to be when the full game and MP come out.
  11. Ah, well, better than I. I was assuming that's how he got them, I haven't got even as near as many as you!
  12. Tonight I fired up an old game (relation to PC games at least). Fired up Star Wars Starfighter and played it a bit. Fun, mindless, starship blasting.
  13. Great. Now i want to know how he did that so i can try them out myself. :///// That's the MP weapon select screen. Most likely he bought the veteran packs and got the extra weapons as random draws or something.
  14. Does anyone know or has it even come out how much the opening day DLC will be? (I imagine the DLC with an extra character and/or quest will be something...I'm hoping under $10 but I don't know, anyone have any idea?)
  15. The above article is interesting. I consider things like Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica more space opera than anything Science Fiction. I also am not certain I agree with the writer's idea that humans are shown as insignificant in the universe. By the end of the game you can have a human who saves cvilization as they know it, a human fleet that saves the rest of them, and depending on your choices, maybe even a council that is dominated by humans. In the least you'll get a human on the council which shows that humans are NOT second class citizens. This get's even stronger in ME2 where you have the Reapers suddenly so interested in Humans that they have their mindslaves harvesting them to recreate one of themselves (a Reaper) in man's image! If the rumors in ME3 are true, humans are even more important overall in many ways.
  16. Yes, but is it on the disk and installed quick with a quick verification check from origin, or is it still DLC and you still have to DL it, even though you have the collectors edition?
  17. I finally tried the demo, very buggy overall. I also think it's another one of the made for console games that simply got shoved off to PC in hopes to make a few more bucks but without spending tons of effort. The game actually seems intriguing though from the Demo...sort of has almost a Planescape vibe at parts.
  18. Don't think you could make a sequel to either the BG or IWD series...or even PS, BUT, perhaps you could make a spiritual successor to the IE games of some sort.
  19. Thus far in the Demo, I've only gotten like two choices to pick from when speaking. The obvious paragon and renegade. Is that true no matter which style you choose, whether it's story, roleplaying, or that other one? I kind of like having more than two choices in the dialogue wheel. I'm wondering if this is just because of the way I tried to play it or not. If it's like that through the entire Demo, is it going to be like that in full game?
  20. Well, after looking went to the Bio forums and found out that it doesn't look like it will be released till 10 AM US time...or if you are looking for it on PS3 as late as 4PM.
  21. Did you say it was on steam? Just flipped over to check to see if that was right, didn't see it there. And that explains that.
  22. Doesn't Skyrim create the level for what you are currently at, and that's what the level stays at from thereon. So if you discover an area with a dragon at level 5, the dragon is made as a big major threat against a level 5 character.. On the otherhand, where you could whip that dragon at level 18, a newly discovered random area will create it's monsters for your level 18 character... At least that's how I heard they did it with Skyrim...I could be completely off. On the other note, just about to plug into the nets and see if ME3 demo available or not yet...and if not, get ready for when it is.
  23. As one of those mainstream, non-elitist that you some of you so hate (and ironically has been playing Bio-games since the original BG...so not quite from the beginning, but from a while ago), I'm GLAD Bio has made many of their games more appealing to us unwashed masses. Sure there have been some stumbles (DA2...but I still bought it, played it, and finished it), but overall I appreciate how they appeal more for my type of game these days. Then again, I'm an unwashed unashamed commoner that cheers for the overthrow of the aristocracy and the cause of the common man...so viva la revolution...we're tired of being told to eat cake when we don't even have bread. Plus, at the end of the day...as the French Aristocracy found out...there really are more of us then there are of you! I did enjoy the latest Football/soccer games however. I'm not certain they are actually more involved...but the control and options are better for me overall. I'd say that ME2 would actually be a prime example of keeping quality up...while improving aspects such as gameplay. Whether that translates into larger appeal...hmmm...I guess we'll find out how large an appeal the ME series truly has in 22 days?
  24. I always thought Shepard was copied from Paul Walker, like they stole Walker's face but didn't ask permission! Walker can be pretty wooden at times too... That's who the male Shep reminds me of.
  25. You come off sounding awfully elitist. Elitist normally want a game which 3 people will enjoy rather than everyone else. (exagerated to extremes, but gives a basic idea fo why companies would rather appeal to more people rather than a smaller group of people). One form of stupid design is where you appeal to less people because it is less intuitive. I'm not of an opinion of whether ME1 or ME2 had it better for powers...ME1 was actually easier I think, ME2 was more about strategic timing in my opinion...but I don't mind either one. I think ME2 had better overall gameplay. From what you sound like you are saying, you seem to indicate that ME2 was dumbed down for the "masses" or in other words, made to appeal to a bigger audience. If that's what you are saying, and if that design actually worked, then it would be stupid to go back to a design which would lessen their appeal, cut their sales, and reduce how many would play the game. In that light, maybe you want to restate or refine whether you think it is stupid and that's what you meant...or if you meant less involving and thus less interesting. One is simply stupid and causes problems...the other isn't necessarily stupid, but it may directly impact how the game flows and feels which can improve or detract (as in your case....detract) from whether one likes the game and the changes or not.
