  1. I play Twilight Struggle, Race for the Galaxy and Dungeon Twister and RftG has a decent online implementation at en.boardgamearena.com . If you're interested in playing it sometime (I assume you know it since you're playing Eminent Domain) drop me a note sometime. @ Volourn: The only way NWN could be considered a good game is if you voluntarily forget that any other RPG ever existed. Its embarrassing in this day and age to even mention that blocky mess of an introductory DnD scenario they tried to pass off as a game. Used to play Race for the Galaxy all the time. Looked at Dungeon Twister 2, not certain to get it or not. What do you think of Dungeon Twister overall?
  2. Good effort and good luck to them once they get outside the dungeon. I really wonder how many of Bioware's recent offerings will get remakes a decade from now. Well I haven't even played DA2 (so I gave it the benefit of the doubt that it could be better than BG) but I can still play and enjoy BG1 and that makes it near the top of a very short list of games from that era. Which boardgames btw? A lot of different ones. My current collection is hovoring around 150. My favorites would probably be games like Age of Steam, Silverton, War of the Ring, Conquest of the Empire, Powergrid, and Risk (yes, that one). Most recently been playing a lot of an game called Eminent Domain. Pretty simple cards overall, but great gameplay.
  3. It's got enough reasons to warrant a purchase for me (with Todd McFarlene and R.A. Salvatore involved). I'm not that jaded that I can't appreciate their work. My only concern how cohesive these talents are in the final product. Not too keen on the Oblivion manager, but yeah, I'll buy it. Not enough to get me to play. Not even interested in the game. The press is working though, I'm going to play the Demo simply for the ME3 extras.
  4. http://www.gamespot.com/events/ces2012/sto...&pid=927750 Not much desire to get the Vita...though Little Big Planet could convince me...
  5. Are you really comparing the latest game of a developer to their decade old first try at RPG's? If the game wasn't better than BG1 that would be grounds for hara-kiri. For the sake of other forum members I won't bring BGII, ToB and the series as a whole into this discussion and see how their late offerings compare to it. That would be really pointless as everyone's position on the issue is well known. I hold that the only thing Bioware has released that's really fresh and original (up to a point) since the BG series are the Mass Effect games. Other games, like Jade Empire and Dragon Age are too flawed or derivative to consider. KOTOR sucks. It sucked then, it sucks now. But its SW so no one cares and they play it anyway. Way off topic, but BG1 WAS better than DA2. Graphics do not make the game. Many seem to have forgotten that these days, and kids just look for the latest eye candy. Then again, I'm one of those that still play boardgames... On to the boardgames...the following is video Start/Select - ME3 unlocks! Grey Jedi coming to Old Republic! http://www.gamespot.com/shows/start-select...all%3Btitle%3B6 Grey Knights heh...what the heck are grey knights?
  6. I don't know about this. I got a PS3 because I was sick of the entire always online DRM junk Ubi put out for PC but not on the consoles. If Blizz does an always online to play the SP version of D3 I don't think they'll have as big of sales on the consoles as they may think. Might as well stick to PC instead if that is the case since we'd all have played it via PC already if we were going to play it with the always Online thing going on in the background.
  7. Arrows of Detonation...oh boy!!!
  8. No lesbian punk bands, but I got the impression from the D&D setting, that "flaming" was sometimes used as a mild swear word. I can't remember where I got the impression from though. What would ever give you that flaming idea? I don't think it's a flaming swear word. I flaming tell you, it's not! Edit: Unless you're a flaming fist...then maybe it's a connotation of a flaming swear word. I know...sensitive...so don't go flaming me over it...
  9. You quicksaved while falling??? You should at least have a hard save point every few jumps though!
  10. What!!!??? Dark Forces 2 is great...well...the shooting and hopping parts. Always seem to have trouble with the first person lightsaber fights. Jedi Knight II did it better with the third person perspective. Now those were some awesome battles!!!
  11. You know, if you had leveled me up after I killed that battle horror, I might have survived that next hit. But it did get me a wand of heavens. <3 Are you swooning with delight now?
  12. Interesting with Jon Icarus. I think I probably preferred killing to charming in that instance of the game.
  13. Isn't she the character who, if you get her talking a little, provides BG1's only mention of Jon Irenicus? Yup, that's the one. And Tig, really? The only death in the bandit camp and it had to be the cleric? What do you have against clerics? Don't think I didn't notice that I was the one standing right beside Tazok just before he stopped attacking! Nice Bow! Boom Chikka Wow-Wow. On this stuff on Jon Irenicus, I don't think I got her talking on any of my walkthroughs that I recall on Irenicus. What exactly is said?
  14. Put some in your back pocket, sit down, and see what comments get directed your way after you stand up.
  15. I believe they did a somewhat remake of that too http://www.firaxis.com/games/game_detail.php?gameid=21 http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/colonization/
  16. Never played X-com...though this new one intrigues me. May have to put on my "check it out" list.
  17. Demo?! Demo!!! Did I hear Demo!!! I am so wanting to play it.
  18. Basilisks? This should be fun...or not... On a note, 4 magic missiles = lvl 7 or 8 caster I think. Mirrored eyes...hope I keep from getting stoned.
  19. This should shoot it back upwards towards the top.
  20. Rosbjerg? Heroic death, but we like his music. Raise him? Always like getting through Nash mines...that's normally where I hit lvl 2 with my parties.
  21. Nice write up again. Must have taken awhile to write, that was pretty long as well.
  22. You got Vanquish as well?! So did I, but currently playing Nier so can't make time for Vanquish yet.
  23. Great writeup, funny as all get up.
  24. Heh, well a Ranger or bard would be right up my alley, depending on whether they could use another warrior, or simply needed someone to stand in the back and cheer them on. Either way I hopefully get to use a bow?
