  1. That almost gave me a seizure. What's up with that page? Something's coming.... ???
  2. Creating a bit of hype for a DLC maybe? Maybe, if so it better deal with the ending...and if it deals with the ending the better do it right so it doesn't end up upsetting everyone.
  3. Sounds like they used the April 1st opportunity to poke fun at the ME retake movement from some of the items they posted...
  4. Took a break from the ME series...about to start ME3. Today instead took some time to go back to some older titles...played The Club (if you really think about that game, it has a pretty screwed up premise...and how the game goes in that premise is even more screwed up), and Crysis. Crysis original is much better than Crysis 2. Decided to check to make sure I wasn't the only one thinking that, and it appears that others think the same thing. (One big thing is Crysis 2 is a BIG steaming example of a consolization of a great orginal PC game) Now that I've had a little while of a break from RPGs, time to go back and finish the ME series once again, this time with a terribly evil and sadistic Red Headed Renegade Female Shep.
  5. I've played...and what's been said is basically true. However, the reason I LIKED the tropico games is because they stay similar overall. Except for Tropico 2...that one was junk.
  6. Square hasn't rung many bells on the FF front recently. I didn't get FF XIII-2, the FIRST FF EVER that I did not get. I didn't even consider getting it that much...I tried the demo and shrugged and decided...not for me. FFX and FFXII were redeemable to a degree...XIII to me simply stunk. I believe SE put out DX:HR though, so they aren't totally lost. Nier was unique, and it's combat wasn't that great, but it had some interesting ideas and much more "ART" then anything Bioware dreams is art. The problem is SE seems to want to go completely into Action RPGs and Action games these days rather than turnbased games that they were famed for. Atlus in many ways is slowly seeming to take the spot SE had years ago.
  7. LOL dude, Anders never said that stuff to me. I think he's got eyes just for you. Yeah...stinks to be me. I should have killed him when I could. That's my problem probably, I'm too nice to the characters overall. I should play DA2 once again, but this time with the sole eye to getting as many of the characters killed as possible.
  8. Basically eventually he'll come up front and you simply say...Not interested. Don't pursue it. I'm not that type of person. And his heartbreaks or whatever. However after that, he keeps hitting on you like suggesting you go behind a wall and do it...which is just wierd. Or making sexual innuendos about both of you and him. The ironic thing is Isabella has a similar take with the sexual innuendo portion. She always seems to have that somewhere in her dialogue. No one takes notice of her however, they focus on Anders. I think it's because of a primarily male audience that likes the Female flirt thing...but not so much with the male flirt.
  9. No, I'm pretty certain I told him in no uncertain terms. I think others had the same problem. Bioware didn't even say it was a bug and never fixed it either. I don't really give a dang what you believe, what I told you is fact...period. If you don't like them facts...well...too bad. You can have your opinion...but you can't change the facts.
  10. I was one of those that Anders simply would NOT let alone. Every other comment was some flirt like I was in a romance with him even when I already did the heartbreak symbol and blatantly told him no. It irritated me. I think others were absolutely infuriated further than I was. I'm not into guys, so him forcing it down that track was not exactly something I enjoyed. I have to admit I didn't like the entire Isabella thing either...she was another one (opposite side of the coin) that didn't seem to take no as the right answer. I think less complained about her than Anders and the male romance options.
  11. They did it to screw with you. Did they suceed?
  12. I played that around 11-10 years ago I think. Something didn't quite click with me when I played it. I think I was an FMV fan with my RPGs back then, and if I recall everything in Vagrant story is in game cutscenes. I am slowly winding my way through Legend of Dragoon whilst playing the ME series over though...so another one of the PS1 games.
  13. Big problems I think that got noted about DA2 were... (slightly exaggerated) Romances were broke. All gay guys and gals keep hitting on you, even after you make it clear you are NOT INTERESTED. Especially Anders...then he was crazy anyways. Areas are re-used 50 times over...eventually you don't know if you are travelling to market or finding the dragon or simply lost in the mines since you swear that cave looks the same for each one. The ending makes no sense. You end up having to fight the leaders of both sides no matter who you align yourself with or even what class you are! Magically appearing swarms. Not as many places to go. End of snarky remarks on some major items broken in DA2. That said, I think they were trying to be experimental and try some new things in DA2 based around saving time and money. Unfortunately they weren't the right ideas to try out. Made a disaster out of a molehill. That said, depending on what they fix up for the next one it could be good, or could be terrible.
  14. What's funny is today, just for fun, I powered up a CoD MW game. Wow...as far as shooters go, that blew ME3 out of the water and MW 3 came out before ME3 and still rocks all over it. Yeah...ME3 is an RPG...cause if it were a shooter it is epic fail. I like it as an RPG... Then again, people say I'm one of those who are part of the stupid masses instead of some of the elite RPG artiests here. Sometimes it's good to be able to play CoD though. I completely like the ME series as they are, and view them as RPGs. As RPGs they are just as fun as CoD...but not ME3 MP...that actually is pretty bad in comparison after I fired up MW. And MW 3 is worse than MW 2 of all things...maybe we're retrogressing? In other news, haven't seen much about this game coming out. Of course, this mainly talks about PC games, and this is an Xbox game...but looks really cool. Unfortunately I don't have an Xbox...if I did I'd have this game pre-ordered already! next week Teusday. PS: On the trailers, click the one which recreates the Star Wars officers sitting around the table with Gov. Tarkin. http://www.lucasarts...kinectstarwars/
  15. I'm not really following, EVERY FPS and TPS I've played in the past 2 years is particularly linear. I don't think there's a one that's an FPS or TPS that hasn't been linear. Closest you get would be something like the Mass Effects and they aren't really TPS games at all, they're RPGs... Though ME3 tries REALLY REALLY hard to be a TPS, even has MP, but compared to other shooters, it's not really all that great.
  16. I think it's a rumor and fake, at least I hope it's fake. That could be one of the worst things to happen since...forever. If you have to be always online to play, well, goodbye Sony. If everyone moves to that model, whoever creates a new console that doesn't work that way wins the console war...OR...by default the mobile phones finally win it all...inclusive of the Ipad. Afterall...even they don't require you to be online all the time to play gameapps after you've d/led them to your phone, at least most of the popular ones don't.
  17. I don't know, I kind of liked the Mummy series. The Matrix serie wasn't bad either.
  18. Yeah it is a very good game.. Battlestar Galactica the boardgame... Oh wait...you meant computer game? I'm not certain if they make Lan or small scale MP games anymore. ME3 has 4 player coop...not that I'd suggest it... You could try some of the Battlefield games...I think Starcraft 2 goes up to 8 players (actually have to boot it up again to double check).
  19. That leaker says too much. If he's real...it's a good thing he's gone already...or he'd be canned. Wonder what legal options there are for suing his arse. If he's fake, then it will be known VERY quickly...well at least within a month. However, I'd get the DLC. In a moment. It does clarify somewhat and give closure. It also means BW didn't ship a full game with a true ending. Doubt I'd get the next ME game based simply on that...unless it got STELLAR RAVE FAN reviews. Forget the pro reviews...they do nothing for me. Perhaps that's why they may not call it Mass Effect # Well, that was considerably less then a month.

  21. Man, you've only had dull relationships then. Suddenly, when talking about relationships where someone is pointing guns and maybe even shooting the other person and calling anything else dull...makes me certainly glad I've only had "dull" relationships.
  22. This will be a spoiler...as for Kelly Chambers Some of the items are also time based...aka...if you don't do them before a certain point you don't get to do them at all. Others only occur after a certain point. Those points are determined by quests or other events that happen.
  23. You have? Maybe you should say that again. All I recall is you saying it's the best thing since cheesecake. I've criticized it, but I also think alot of the greivances are a bunch of BS as well. I didn't like the ending, but I actually see the endings they have as pretty solid (aka, not really that many plotholes as some are claiming). I think the real complaints funnel into C&C...with the ending not really reflecting my Choices previously in any obvious ways such as ME2's obvious consequences. Also, more closure would have been nice. I think bioware is addressing at least ONE of those things. Perhaps we'll end up on a Jungle planet looking for different things to make Shep go, then when we find them we'll reap what we sow? On the actual DA2 thing, did anyone try to new DLC that they said fixed some of the issues? I've had it d/l'd, I've just never gotten the heart back up to replay DA2 again.
  24. Have to disagree strongly on the AP portion. Of all the games you just listed, absolutely LOVE AP. I'm beginning to absolutely love DSIII as well, but it's one that takes awhile. That's probably because I was a big fan of the original DS series, so something that different at first leaves you in sort of that in shock type of feel where you realize it's not like the others. Then you realize maybe that's not a bad thing...and then you realize maybe it's awesome. AP though, that got an unfair slam on it. I think people are now starting to look back on it and see it for the gem it really is, but it's taken awhile...much like PS:T.
