  1. While I understand the OP, there's a huge difference here, P:E is a fan funded game which should remove all deadline restrictions that causes cut contents.
  2. Well times are changing and Facebook is a good way to promote your material. Likes spread the word. Free WL2 is bullcrap in my opinion but if it'll make people pledge more, so be it. Yet again if I wanted WL2, I'd go and buy it when it comes out. I'm happy to hear about an expansion.
  3. Evil alignment is a 2 edged blade. There's few options when it comes to good but evil has a lot more, such as; pragmatic selfishness, not caring about laws, sacrificing the weak for the bigger picture, hatred and vengeance, tyranny and thirst for power, jealousy and obsession, plain laziness or complete madness. Whereas the good has much fewer options. The good is always selfless, friendly, loving, sane and hardworking. Of course there are lawful and chaotic options but it always ends up with the single "forgive the poor thief" scenario. I tend to choose to play the good but if evil was better represented I would enjoy it a lot.
  4. Just the stuff that comes to my mind at the moment: 2.7M - Party size increased to 7 with a beast companion (fantasy version of Dogmeat, namely Morte). 2.8M - Story driven, player choice based environmental effects and the ability to keep playing after the scenario is over. 2.9M - Unlockable super-species after the 1st playthrough. 3M - Fallout style (not-so) random encounters. Additional companion spesific to one of these encounters (And not DA:O style RE please). 3.1M - Unlockable alternative playthrough as the main antagonist in the same areas.
  5. Yeah I donated 50 bucks and I pray for them to be unsuccessful I too hope they get 3M or higher. But I also wanted to illustrate my personal tastes. I hope to see more story, more art, more adventure oriented stretch goals for, say, 2.7M. But that's just me. I'm surprised to see so many flamers. I thought most people on here would be grown up enough to be old time Black Isle fans. Then I checked out the 'How old is everyone' thread and saw I was wrong.
  6. This. OP is missing the point. They've said right from the start that the game is being designed so that companions are completely optional, and players can choose to play with only one character if they want. With that in mind, I fail to see how giving people the option to create their own party members changes anything. Hillarious that your lack of ability to think on a statement makes me stupid. We are talking about a game that's not yet made. I'm telling you that whatever (in this case the party) is fully customizable it will suffer from uniqueness in the end. Check out IWD series. Your party is fully player made and no PC or event adresses you directly. In simple terms, the story isn't about you. * Yes you can dismiss Morte in PS:T even as a part of the story. But almost noone plays that way because people love Morte, his quotes and the side quests that evolve around him. Yet even with just nameless one, the story is 80% about the PC and 20% about the rest of the world, and I personally like that kind of cRPGs. You don't have to agree and don't be afraid this stretch goal wont be removed just because I said so. It's just that I'm hoping that any possible future stretch goals aren't in the same direction. * I couldn't care less about even older games such as EotB series and what not, and that's certainly what I didn't pay for ($2.5M for new EotB? lol.). Another example is Wasteland where the game doesn't involve NPC companions. Yes it's older than FO series but honestly it isn't 10% the game FO 1, 2 and NV each are. Could I make myself clear?
  7. I'm sure some of you are die hard fans of the full party creation stuff but I simply don't want to see it make it to the game. Why? *First off I was hoping we will see as strange companions as PS:T but now the party is modifiable so we probably won't see something like Morte, since if he can be left out, there's no point adding items as Teeth to loot tables. *I'm more into the story rather than the hack'n slash factor of cRPGs so I'd like to get my companions as involved as I can. *Leaving out companions has no meaning for me but thinking of the fact that the possibility of creating a stronger party always stands there, disturbs me. *Player housing where my companions rest will lose it's meaning if there will also be some randomized characters there. *My PC will lose its uniqueness if I can have 6 PCs. E.g. which of my PCs will have romantic relationships with NPCs? I don't know but maybe altering companion classes without changing their looks/characters would be possible?
  8. I had already pledged $50 but I hate 2 facts about this exclusive content; first off, people who had pledged $25 will feel their game lacks something from the full package. And then, I really hate to carry around a vanity pet that can't take damage or die. I'd really prefer a low damage but combatant pet.
  9. Well that's completely personal but I'd like to battle with religious fanatics if possible, and even convert some if possible.
  10. More than 2 genders is interesting. Unlike genders remind me of Speaker for the Dead.
  11. Well I picked world but it means nothing without a good plot. Still, with a good plot I'm always very impressed by well designed locations.
  12. If you're ever dreaming of 4m, then put a stretch goal 4m- romance (f on f included)
  13. Umm... Nope.. and I also don't get what this has to do with P:E. If you have a species of choice, shoot and pray it gets included in the game somehow. If they put a species that you dislike, don't roll it. For example, I hate elves. Seriously, I hate wood elves, high elves, drows and all kinds, I hate their lore, I hate their looks and I kill them wherever I get the option to (e.g. DA:O). But it's useless for me to shout around I don't want elves. I'm going to play P:E, with or without elves, just gonna skip rolling one and that's it. Believe me, your taste in RPGs, that you think is the ultimate taste in the world, is one of millions in the world and not better nor worse than me or the next guy.
  14. I did, actually. I always found it ugly, especially when it comes to 2D backdrop and world exploration. 3D battles are (were) the only decent looking parts. Beside, I never liked the game itself that much *AND* FF XII looks actually far better (even if it has some hideous character design and the game is a borefest). FF7 BGs are ugly?.... Better get some glasses man.
  15. Isometric please.. well if it was me i'd go with old school pixel art with 2nd option being hand illustrated backdrops.
  16. Amazing ideas here guys, keep'em comin'. Hmmm maybe with 2 questions I can write upto 20 option in a future poll but this one already served its purpose quite well.
  17. Lack of humour/references Voice over Lack of mini games Easy combat Realism and realistic designs Random generated dungeons Random itemization All humanoid races
  18. Swamps, yes please! Sewers? Got too much of that in D3.
  19. I hate unavoidable fights. Bribery, barter, persuasion, lying, intimidation are all strong options that would perhaps let you avoid combat in a normal situation.
  20. You're right but; the poll has a limit of 10, and editing is not possible (or I would've eliminated the least voted category and replace it with something else.) Yet again I'll make an updated poll next week so please keep posting your suggestions.
  21. Dunno but still a little bit of courage and creativity works wonders. My favorite game when it comes to companions (and overall) is PS:T, not just because they have a unique background but also their looks and behaviours are magnificiently well drawn and unique. Oh of course, I'm just saying that people shouldn't just dismiss the usual races out of hand or demand that they be subverted to make them unique. At the end of the day it's the characters we get to meet and how well defined they are that makes or breaks the game in my mind, and how memorable they are indeed! , Well, in my opinion, visual uniquenesses are just as important though. We used to apply addons to PS:T to change companion clothings and stuff... Not that the original versions were not enough, but it's another kind of familiarity to your party. Now we will probably have smaller sprites in Eternity so I'd like to see characters that are utterly distinctable from eachother by the way they look.
