Design Challenge: "Living" Necromancers and Vampires
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Razsius's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)If there must be vampires in PE... PLEASE skip the drama. I can get enough of that on network TV now.

How Would You Feel if the Fundraising Was Extended?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Wirdjos's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Wouldn't bother me a bit, it would just mean that the game I already paid for becomes bigger and better than I paid for.

Optional Collectables?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Rajaat the Warbringer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I never collected spoons and junk in Elder Scrolls... but I did collect arguably equally pointless stuff, like Dwemer Coins, the more expensive wines, etc... As the stronghold stretch goal grows nearer, ideas for what I'd want to fill it with start coming up (some of which were already stated by others). Books for your library Fancy, rare wines for your cellar Idols to each god for your temple/shrine Monster skulls/heads for your trophy room Rare weapons and artifacts for your armory Works of art to adorn the previously blank stone walls in various places There shouldn't be any penalty for not attempting these collections, but it'd be cool to get little bonuses as you make progress in them.

Optional Collectables?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Rajaat the Warbringer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It's funny that you say that, I almost posted a list of examples, and "heads of your enemies" was going to be jokingly thrown in there.

Optional Collectables?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Rajaat the Warbringer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I really just want an excuse to build a library of dusty tomes, especially if some of the lore in the game is presented via those books (like it was in the Baldur's Gate games, and the Elder Scrolls series)

Optional Collectables?
One thing I find myself doing, in RPGs that allow it, is collecting things that I have no real reason to collect. A prime example is in the Elder Scrolls games, I make it a point to collect one copy of every book, every daedric artifact, ect... even if just to leave them in a box and know that I have them. But I always thought it would be cool to have a reason for it... like maybe someone wants all those books, and will reward me in some way that isn't overly powerful, but unique to the sidequest. What do you guys think?

If you wanted another class...
I'd rather see more races get added, as 11 classes is already a pretty hefty amount.

How about including a reference to Tingle from Legend of Zelda?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Catharsis's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)This would be an awful idea. And pop culture references in Fallout don't even compare... Fallout is a fictional future that arguably shared our past. Pop culture references have no place in a fantasy setting.

Has Obsidian gone too far in some of its recent updates?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Sarkus's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't see any problem with anything they're doing.

Your vision of the 2.7 Million stretch goal
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd be happy with more race/class/companions.

What would make you pledge more?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Ilrahan's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I already pledged more than I should have, it'd take me winning alot of money to pledge more (which I likely would).

Boxed Version - DRM Free?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to RicoSuave's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I would assume the box version is DRM free... otherwise why bother?

What do you wish not to see in PE
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to BasaltineBadger's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)- The girl that can kick ass, but constantly makes a big deal about it (further reinforcing the stereotype that we should be surprised that a girl can kick ass) - Pop culture references - Joke characters - Inventory limited by space AND weight (I'm fine with one or the other)

Production Beard stretch goal for the 4 millions mark?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to hideo kuze's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd rather the stretch goals all have something to add to the game itself.

Please don't ban exposition from dialouge
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to C2B's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I agree that random NPC conversations can do alot to flesh out the world, and and give it a sense of realism...

Implimencations of (PC) race
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to SirMonkeyMonk's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I do hope that some quests, equipment, alliances, etc will be denied to you based on race. It gives you even more of an excuse to play the game several times.

are polls useful to obsidian?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to vattghern's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd like to believe that if they wanted our opinion on something that much, they'd make an official topic with a poll.

DLC vs Expansion Packs
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to Intoxicated_Ant's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Much prefer a decent expansion pack over the usually trivial addition provided by DLC. As long as it's sold in a collection on disc, I'll probably buy it either way. Otherwise it doesn't matter to me because I probably wouldn't buy it.

Suggestion: a cheaper tier with the printed collector's book. What do you think?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to makryu's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm not voting because the options are really either "I'm too cheap" or "books are stupid". I'm trying to get enough money together to go for the $250 tier, because I feel this project deserves that much support, and that collectors book sounds pretty awesome.

What kind of Player House would you like to see?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to veryblackraven's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Maybe not 100% on the topic of a house... but I love games that let you slowly build a whole town (like Suikoden, Breath of Fire 2, etc...). You get your house in that town, and slowly accumulate drifter characters, and shopkeeps (maybe doing quests to improve their inventory). Certain townsfolk may conflict with others, forcing you to mediate, or boot someone from town. And the town would get better and better depending on the characters you fill it with (including your PCs).

Traps: do we have to have them?
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to molarBear's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Dungeons full of deadly traps are a staple of the fantasy genre. Even if they're used sparingly, they should be used.

Minigames
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to DAWUSS's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Minigames are great, when they're optional. I tend to spend way too much time on mini games, but in games like FF7 where they were unavoidable, they just bugged me.

It's a Kind of Magic
Rajaat the Warbringer replied to The Dark One Avoozl's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm definitely a fan of magic having uses outside of battle.
